Title: Horrendous Experience at Sam's Terrace Homestay - Avoid at All Costs

My stay at Sam's Terrace Homestay was nothing short of a nightmare. It was by far the most unhygienic and dirty accommodation I have ever encountered, and I cannot emphasize enough how much I regretted choosing this place.
From the moment I stepped in, the lack of cleanliness was evident. The rooms were dusty, and the linens seemed like they hadn't been washed in ages. The bathrooms were a whole different level of horror - they were in a state worse than any public toilet I've ever seen. The floors were grimy, the toilet seats were filthy, and the stench was unbearable. It was evident that basic sanitation and hygiene were not a priority for the management of this homestay.
Adding to the nightmare was the complete lack of food provision. I had assumed that a homestay would at least offer some meals or snacks, but to my dismay, there was nothing of the sort. I had to venture out to find food, which was an inconvenience and an added expense.
Another issue was the non-existent service. The owner was nowhere to be found, and attempts to contact them via phone were futile since they never bothered to pick up. The staff, if you could call them that, were disinterested and unhelpful. It seemed like they couldn't care less about the guests or their comfort.
To top it off, none of the appliances in the room worked. The fan was broken, the TV had no signal, and the Wi-Fi was non-functional. It felt like the place was stuck in some bygone era without any effort to maintain or update the amenities.
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against staying at Sam's Terrace Homestay. The sheer lack of hygiene, absence of food provision, unresponsive owner, malfunctioning appliances, and dismal service make it an absolute disaster for any traveler seeking a pleasant stay. I regret my decision to book this place and would warn others to steer clear of this nightmarish establishment. There are undoubtedly far better and more welcoming options available in Chikmagalur.
Just want to update everyone that the owner of the property will respond to this review with some cooked up story. He will also try to threaten you. If by mistake you booked the property don’t argue with him when you are in chikmagalur. It’s not safe

Excellent stay at Sam's Terrace. As a group of 5 we got a neatly maintained 2BHK with all the necessary facilities. The owner was very kind and has travel contacts. We requested for an extension of stay at a very short notice but the owner was very considerate and made arrangements. Would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a homestay option near Chikmagalur town.

Apartment was decent. Host was good. The only issue was there were few problems which could have been rectified earlier. Overall had a decent experience. One more setback is it doesn't have any view. I felt it was expensive as per its location.

Well maintained, spacious flat. Amenities like bedding, towel and utensils are provided. Need to bring your own toiletries.

Very calm n peaceful place. Caretaker Devraj was nice and took very good care. Zomato and SWIGGY service available.

Spacious rooms and kitchen with fridge microwave toaster oven, good service, hygienic bathrooms with geysers
