1. Very bad behavior of staff.
2. Pharmacy not even basics not available like mask. And directed to private shop.
3. Billing or Charges more if you compare to KLE Belgaum.
4. If you are staff family relative or friend then KLE hospital provides discount. NOT in SDM hospital.
5. Professionalism is not their among the staff.

Overall not liked the SDM environment. I advise others to go for KLE Belgaum hospital.

Note: Any health complexity KLE has better staff to handle. It is my own experience.

Worst experience in critical ICU.
Patient got admitted for breathing and little pain in between lungs. He came by walk to hospital. They dint even tell him what has happened. What they will do. They suddenly shifted him to ward started taking blood samples every where. Patient suddenly got afraid and started wondering and also got irritated why are they not talking to me anything. By this way he started removing the oxygen mask. So they shifted him ICU ventillator. In ICU no body talks to u. What is happening, no reports will be shown to u. If u know some one from doctors or nurses some information will be shared or else. I think u ll get to know nly if the patient is alive or dead.
To share one incident patients brother touched the doctors feet to cure him sooner. Doctor arrogantly said how these ppl are even getting inside. How such stubborn doctors would treat patient.
Of course we have to trust the doctors and their duty. But such events won't make us feel that we are at the right place.
If u have strong reference then definitely u can visit. Or else it's better to visit some where else.

Worst Service an treatment ever. Security & HK Staff are behaving like it's their own hospital and they are behaving like MD. Pathetic experience. Worst parking and some doctors here are not worth their services

Don't forget to take ur consultation card if u already registered at sdm hospital, it will be helpful for both u and hospital staff.

Or Make note of ur consultation id, that will be sufficient

Patients with disease will be attended.
It is on the route between Hubli-Satturu-Dharwad road.

I've been here twice and both the times I had to wait like 1-1.5 hours and there isn't even a person to aid us.

Discharge process is very very slow full day waste. Discharge process taking 8to 9 hour time

The management is only concerned about money.even if you have insurance (ESIC) they take money for consumables and other stuff.if you are financially poor never think about this hospital.doctors are well behaved and highly professionals but administration is worst we have to wait a whole day for discharge.they never think about the time of people.

Third class behaviour of the doctors especially Dr. Sachin, Psychiatrist. These doctors claim to be friendly but are really fraudsters… better to seek Govt.doctors help than these rats…

Hospitality was good, medicine expenditures were at low prices, especially pediatric and delivery sections were very clean well monitored.staffs nicely communicate with patients.

1. No proper communication about tests they perform, unnecessary spending time.
2. Everything is handled by nurse/sister
3. A bunch of students following doctor, doctor himself busy in explaining things to students.
Just I don't see properly comunication between doctor and patient.
God only should save everyone.

Doctor and Staffs are cooperative and friendly.

We were there for my Aunt knees replacement. Doctor Arvind Patil is very generous and provided best treatment.

From his excellent treatment and ability to connect, patients will get confidence.

SDM Dharwad is Highly recommend for physio related treatments.

It's very clean and moderately priced, general hospital. All staff are expert. All facilities are available. I love this hospital.

Specifically Narayana Hurdhayalaya staff was very bad not all only some people of the staff are very crude they don't have any humanity

This is one of the best hospitals in North Karnataka. I love the way the entire management is organized. Staff are professional.
The hospital is quite big and you will get lost. One way to get around it is knowing where Ganesha statue or Prayer Hall is. Map your way to your destination from there. And everyone is very friendly. You can just ask any random person over there for directions and they will answer with a smile because they can relate.

I worked in the department of neurosurgery and every surgeon over there was competent and well-mannered. They accept most type of health insurance schemes.

The only disadvantage is the amount of running you have to do to get a job done. But then rumour has it that they made it big intentionally because they care about your health as well and wanted to make you walk more. Cheeky guys.

Its my work place, I used to visit here as it's my client.
There are people who maintain cleanliness.
There are different divisions with different doctors who are very good in treating patients.
There is a canteen, present inside this hospital.very tasty food you can get, which is healthy.
There are two blocks one is old and other is new.in new we find the speciality and in old we find other departments.
In old block only we have lab where samples will be collected.
Good with security and also can get information what ever we need.

So wonderful awesome place staff aß well as systematic function of the Hospital like IT Really Good Great.

My father Akber khan was admitted for Heart Surgery. Doctors and hospital facility is so good that their is no chance of unneccery expenses. Diagnosis is so perfect that we don't have to worry about any thing. Its been just more than a month after his surgery, He is so healthy that as if their has never been anything wrong with him. No essence of Dharma at this Dharmasthala named hell of the place. I don't know what do they feed their staff that they act worse than street dogs.if you happen to go there please do carry a few stones along, trust me you'll need them

The hospital is one of the best hospital within dharwad. The treatment is affordable. There is many insurance schemes available. The care given to patients should be appreciate. There is good parking.wheelchair accessible. Canteens are available withinthe hospital.

Worst experience.
No proper explanation: Initially Dr. Rameshkumar (Gynecologist) decided to do surgery on my mother (65 years old) saying simple procedure. Day before operation asked us to sign "High Risk" form saying formality. Our aunt had similar operation and we thought operation will be done without incision. Then incision of about 15 cm on mother's stomach and we were surprised and angry. Doctor never discussed about this. (later we got 2nd opinion and they also wondered why SDM did like that when it could have been done without incision).

My mother was in pain all day in spite of anesthesia after operation. For doctors it was nothing unusual and they ignored for whole day after operation.

They made things even worse: Then due to vomiting they decided to do simple "Procedure - Nasogastric tube insertion - youtube" to prevent vomiting. They messed there too. My mother was not given proper instruction to swallow as pipe inserted and she choked and it in turn made her stomach ache more. In pic below you can see how that pipe curled up her throat creating more vomiting sense. Junior/trainee doctors did this while main Dr. Rameshkumar was not there. They left her choking like this from 9PM to 1AM. When she said she feels something wrong in throat they replied its a normal feeling and slight discomfort will be there. They never bothered to open her mouth and check. Later I only noticed it and got it removed immediately. Then my mother was able to sleep after 2AM.

When I complained with anger one doctor's response was - "We will remove it if you want but its your call.we don't care"
Another doctor: "Don't teach us what to do. You can leave if you can't comply with us"

For whole day they made my mother suffer all of which could have been avoided totally. For moment there we felt letting mother die in home would have been better option than this suffering which was avoidable. Even my mother was like I will never ever will come to hospital in future no matter what.

Worst experience for both my mother and us. And 80K+ bill.

I am an Ex-Serviceman, treatment by neurophysician, medicines prescribed by him, ecg, blood reports for sugar and other medicenes are not free for Ex-Servicemen, explain how these expenses can be reimbursed

College is good and Hospital provides best treatment and staff is also very sincere. Bathroom and canteens maintained well.

My grandfather died of carelessness of the hospital. He was initially tested negative for covid. But, got covid in their own ICU.

Some carelessness happening with patients now a days. Also unnecessary tests writing is common here. Especially in speciality section.
Some days back I have faced this issue, when one of the cardiac physician written the test one by one, it's started from 10.30Am & end up with 8.30pm.
Afterwards he's not there for seeing all these reports he advised to go to emergency & take d prescription from PG's. Full of negligence

Its more training centre then hospital. 10 trainees wil come ask the same question, same chechk.serious health issue paitent feel irritate.

The food quality in the canteen is an utter disappointment for the students. Haven't changed the dish in decades. They serve better food in detention units. Couple of my friends studying in this college advised me that the food is a total catastrophic failure. Its way past due time to improve the quality. The management needs to take the appropriate measures to ensure the student are facilitated with better and healthy food in future.

Very hygienic conditions are maintained in the hospital. Staff is very much cooperative in guiding you for appropriate section to visit for any consultations or checkup. Overall it's a good hospital with all modern facilities and equipments under one roof. Cost is also very less when compared to other private hospitals. People come from all over North Karnataka for the treatment.

Medical Service is Good But very worst communication some staffs are not good they not give correct information after OT I search my patient appx 30min in hospital from 1st floor to 5th floor but finally patient not shifted from OT but OT staff told to go 5th floor we will shift patient and refused to take our one person with patient
In this condition I also talked over with staff in tension

The Best Hospital.clean and well maintained, very reasonable fees and the specialist doctors services and also the staff/nurses are very proactive and helpful.

After 11AM there is no space for better to go by bus.and d worst is security guards.very rude and arrogant they think they are from US ARMY

I visited this hospital my mother joint pain and we done all the scanning and exray as per Dr. & they are given tablets for 1 month but No result and we are wasted many 2500 Rs on that day

Came here to have Executive Check up (Well Womens Check Fees. Rs. 3200/-) of my Mother. Came at morning 9: 30 in fasting.after you get registered nobody will take care of you. They drop you in Q and you have to request in every counter to get scanned, ultrasound, xray etc. Finally you could able to have Breakfast after 12pm. And after all these when your report comes if you wanted to take opinion of Specialist Dr.you have to take separate appointments. So my opinion is, to get checked by regular Dr.by paying Premium charges is not worth.

SDM is a very best Hospital in North Karnataka Region and treatment is also very cheap price in this hospital and doctors, nurse services also very nice.the out patient checkup charges is only ₹30 per visit here and if you are admitted all the benefits like ESIC, Health Card, Railways, Army, Govt, Aaragoya Shree Cards. All benefits from government will be applied here and if the more guests are there with a patient then hospital backside Netravati Guest house is there for 1 night stay ₹50 only.

Worst unprofessional doctors who treat patients as just specimens and lost my Father in 2014 because of doctor and staff negligence. For even a small thing they want to do operation and make money, God will never forgive them. Since they have college they need more patients for there students.

No words to express. A every good hospital in entire Hubballi Dharwad area. Clean and care are important roles. Even economical.

Waiting for gynaecologist CK. Morning came and we were supposed to do blood check up. Report came at 3. She could get back to hospital at 2.30.it's 3.30 now. Only for blood check up and to get report we spent whole day. Yet many patients are waiting And 5'o clock is close of office. Horrible day. Doctors should be so panctual more than any one know?
