We had our very first child delivered by this wonderful women (god send angles) in a way which we as a couple will be cherishing forever and ever in our hearts. Dr. Anusha and her team is the best gynecologist team I have ever seen. The team took care of me so well and when I was in my labor pain in OT it was more than 3hrs i was not able to cooperate all the doctors encouraged me so much they maximum try for normal Dilevery in my case baby weight was more but still we went for normal Dilevery with full safety I really want to suggest that SDM hospital is the best ayurvedic hospital and it's affordable too I must tell you one thing the hospital is well cleaned and well maintained very good staff members best environment.

I had severe stress related issues consulted physicians in an eminent hospital. The medicines prescribed were good initially but after few weeks I realised these are addictive, and put be down psychologically. One of my friends son Dr Harsha asked me try Ayurveda and referred me to SDM, Dr Mamatha madam treated me, I could see all round
With 3days, within a week I was fit and fine, Ayurveda has wonder drug. I see patients at allopathic hospital in pain, depressed and sad. At SDM there’s happiness all around, I personally brand this place as HAPPY HOSPITAL.

It had been 4 years that I visited SDM for the first time.
Since then the relationship is keep on going.
Actually I was suffering from Ankhylosing Spondilytis which is a genetic disease. I suffered a lot due to this. It causes hardening of spinal cord and thus resulting in bending of neck and back. The skeleton becomes bow shape.
When problem started as usual I consulted Ortho surgeon. MRI done. I was informed about the problem. Suggested physiotherapy and medicines. Temporarily I felt relaxed.
After some months, again the pain started and again I consulted a Surgeon, MRI done. Medicines given and relaxed temporarily. Like wise I consulted many ortho surgeons and each one told there is no any treatment for this problem and I have to suffer for lifetime. I was leading life with the help of pain killers.

In 2018 when my problem reached it's peak I suffered a lot and I could not bear the pain. From the neck the pain radiated to shoulders, elbows, back, low back, and knees too. By that time I was not able to stand, sit and move easily. I was not able to lift the hands properly. Moreover turning of neck was a dream. I was not at all able to rotate my neck at least an inch. I used to put pillow at least of ten inches thick.
I was living with the help of pain killers.
At this stage I visited SDM.
I consulted Dr Basavaraj who is the HOD of panchakarma (ortho). Still I remember the question that he asked me, "How are you bearing this much of pain? "
He listened to my problem and told there is treatment for this and it's of long term.
He prescribed some medicines for some days and advised to admit for 10 days for treatment.
After admission many treatments given, like Yoga, Nasya, Basti, Body massage, PPS, Steam bath, Physiotherapy etc.
After 10days course of treatment I felt a little relief.
With ten days of gap I readmitted for the same 10 days course.
Again after a month gap the course repeated.
After treatment the pain minimised, able to turn and rotate neck.
Dr Basavaraj advised to do yoga continuously and I am following it. No medicines now. No pain. I can drive for full day.
I can ride bike for 600 km in a day. I can walk 5 kms without break within an hour.
SDM has given rebirth to me.

It's a huge hospital dedicated for ayurveda treatments. College is also there. We can consult for almost all problems. Spacious building with all facilities gives us a pleasant experience.
Padmashree Dr Veerendra Heggade is known for their service, dedication and discipline. We can see the same here. No consultation fee taken here. There is no any ayurveda hospital in Bengaluru is giving treatment at low cost than SDM.

Last week, I was in SDM from 08.10.22 to 14.10.22 and was treated by Dr. Basavaraj. He is one of the best doctors I have ever come across. Very Cheerful, has utmost patience, very empathetic and knowledgeable. He is very helpful even after being discharged and is only a message away if I have any queries.
I am thankful to SDM for providing me the treatment.
Let me share my experience with SDM.

Good: -
1. The admission procedure was methodical. I was allocated Special Room which was spacious, blankets were clean, Rooms cleaning done twice and changing of linen was done daily. The cost of the room was also reasonable.
2. The duty doctors and the nurses carry out their job with outmost care and promptly plan the treatment schedule for the patients.
3. The Pancha karma Treatment carried out by Mr Jaisimha and Chandan was very good.
4. Ample space for walking and Car Parking. College Library -very good.
5. Cost of Treatment- Affordable.

Improvement Required: -
1. Many times the Room Service - Lunch and Snacks timings clash with treatment timings. Lunch is served between 1-2 PM and Snacks 4-5 PM during which the treatment is also carried out. Diet and regular food served is absolutely not palatable and not worth the cost charged (Rs 250/day).

2. Lot of commotion in treatment rooms in 2nd floor. Boys talk aloud with each other and enter other rooms for some reason or other. It appears that there are only few experienced persons who have to run the show with inexperienced persons. There is no privacy and the room door is always kept open during treatment.

3. Lack of Coordinator in each floor creates communication gap between patients and the nurses/doc.

4. There is only one common cloth drying hanger on every floor for Special Rooms which cannot cater to all rooms. Since all room mates need to wash their clothes daily it is strongly advisable to keep one cloth drying hanger in each room.

5. Hospital Canteen-is Ok. Should serve Sandwiches in the evening.

6. Identification of depts is very difficult in absence of sufficient name boards and mapping / signboards. Even doctors rooms are difficult to locate since signboards are not there. The numbering of doc rooms are done in an clumsy manner … Space insufficient. Patients standing here and there.

7. In Sufficient Lighting in the GF area especially near the ATM machine.

8. Information regarding items to be brought by patients who are to get admitted and items provided by the hospital should be clearly specified in the hospital website.

I had nasal polyp with blocked nose without smell for more than 2 years, during my visit to Australia my problem worsened, on my return to home country my daughter compelled me SDM where i was advised to meet Dr Mamatha, she thoroughly checked and gave simple Oral syrup, Nasal drop and drops for steam inhalation. To my dismay 3rd day I started with 20 % smell and blocked nose with free passage of air whilst breathing, 5th day I started smelling good, bad ugly. Best Hospital, consult Dr. Anusha Madam if you are facing issues related to Pregnancy, PCOD, etc. Our problem was not solved by English medicine even after spending lot of Money but got a solution with Ayurvedic medicine.

This hospital is the worst not because of treatment because of their negligence about patients. Today my dad went to hospital for his treatment he has blood cerculation prblm in his legs and he carry 7500 in his pocket for the treatment. They gave him leech treatment in 3rd floor of that hospital for 1-2 hours he slept in bed and at that time someone took his amount after he wake up he realise that his money took by someone and he ask with one lady doctor their but she didn't respond properly. My dad name Sudhakara Shetty we are not rich like them we are middle class people's came for hospital for our illness but this negligence gives fear for us to come hospital they didn't even check their CC Tv. Please return our money back. This happen all because of their nurse staff and doctors negligence. He is innocent he went hospital because of his treatment but u did like this he is not well and he came back simply without money respond here.

This review is more for the Physiotherapy doctor named Alisha who is horrible out here. She is not bothered about the patients. She treats them as if they are some vegetable. Rude and unkind. The worst physio doctor I have met in my life. I had not problems until she was not there for 8 days. Once she has come she has created all the fuss around. Please complaint about her if you are going through the same and help others not to go though the same situation.

Good Bad and Ugly of SDM Ayurveda Hospital

Last week, I was in SDM. Let me share the Good, Bad and Ugly aspects of my experience with SDM.

Good
1. The spacious rooms, clean blankets, cleaning the rooms twice and systematic and organised manner of working.
2. The way complaints were handled; instead of getting offended, they were open for feedback. Not even once did I hear I was wrong or argued against.
3. The admission procedure was methodical. The trainee doctors did an excellent job in completing the admission procedure and taking me to the concerned department.
4. The security guards were ready to show the rooms available.
5. The cost was reasonable.

Bad
1. Time was not managed between different departments. For example, breakfast is served at 9am. And the treatment or yoga appointment was at the same time.
2. The cottages are the highest charged rooms but do not have their own treatment rooms, and patients have to share with other cottage patients.

Ugly
1. COVID appropriate norms and behaviours are not practices in all departments. The vaccination records or proof of RTPCR test were not checked or asked anywhere in the hospital, nor was there a mention on the hospital's website.
2. The patient's history is collected outside the consultation room, in front of other patients.
3. No casseroles for dietary food, so by the time you get back from the treatment, you may have to wait longer for the food to arrive.

We happen to visit SDM on the strong recommendation for treating Migraine (carrying for past few years) and Sciatica for my daughter and wife respectively.
The first impression of the an Ayurvedic hospital was that it's huge and very well maintained. Hygiene seems to be given a very high priority. Hence it was NOT smelling like any other hospital.
We happen to consult Dr. Sharan Prasad for addressing the ailments. Based on his recommendation, they were admitted in the hospital for a week. Rooms are spacious and again, hygiene was the key attribute.
It suffices to state the prescribed procedures and treatment, as recommended by Dr. Sharan Prasad, were done methodically.
At the end of the week, both my daughter and wife were feeling much relieved.
Dr. Sharan Prasad not only is very patient, good in diagnosis, takes personal care of his patients, but more importantly he was giving them Self Belief. This, in my opinion not only hastened the recovery but also gave them the confidence to over come the ailment in quick time. We are highly satisfied and indebted to Dr. Sharan Prasad, his colleague Dr. Ananya and his team for bringing back a smile on our faces.
