This has been my favorite bakery for decades. During our college days, we used to get down at the BTS bus stop and head directly to Shastry's bakery. It was started new in the mid 80's. Favorites were the honey cake, palya bun, toast. I will never miss my visit to Shastry's bakery when I am in Bengaluru. I have introduced at least a more than 100 friends. Even after moving out to different localities, states or countries, they all make it a point to visit. For me, it is almost 35 years since I am visiting this place. The taste and quality has never changed. Now, I have introduced all my 2nd and 3rd generation to this bakery. Please keep up the great quality that is maintained over decades. Best part is, the Palya bun never goes bad, even after a days travel. Couple of my relatives, who come from TN and AP, they vouch that palya bun purchased anywhere else, will never be good after an over night travel into their hotter places.

A very famous bakery located in K R Road. The snacks you get here is the best in the locality and the prices are reasonable too. If you're near banashankari 2nd stage and would like to taste some nice snacks and drinks then this is the place to go.
