Good place to bring your kids. Every gaming equipments are well maintained. Overall atmosphere is calm and cool.

Serene and Calm green place with lush green campus with a lot of options for kids and adults.
Parking area is big enough too.
The children park has all varieties of options for kids and the house of Dr Karant is neatly maintained.
Has a library, art gallery too to add.
The swimming pool is another main attraction with excellent coach n teachers. The water n pool is very well maintained with a separate baby pool, excercise area.

Poorly maintained place, crowd was very bad and the kids park was filled with all elders/youngsters. Ticket counter is there but no checking or security personalle to look after the property.

Pristine, well maintained, not too crowded a place. Definitely worth a visit. A must visit for people who are familiar with the workers of Shivaram karanth. Play area for kids is reasonably well maintained

Good spot for picnic. A tribute to Late Dr. Shivarama Karantha - a famous Kannada literary figure. Serves both educational and amusement purpose. Great ambience. Peaceful.

Dedicated to Kannada Novelist, Playwright, Conservationist, Rabindranath Tagore of Modern India Sir Kota Shivaram Karanth. Karanth Sir house named Balavana and is now maintained by the Government of India. The government has added a swimming pool and made the place an educational institution for local children. Karanth Sir was the third person among seven recipients of Jnanpith Award for Kannada the highest literary honor conferred by the Govt.of India. Karanth Sir was conferred Padma Bhushan by Government of India. Very calm, peaceful place with beautiful greenery all around. Park is available inside. The place gives a heavenly and Nostalgic feeling. Thus making this a must visit with friends and family

Worth going there the only problem is no maintenances. Lots of pests please is good for kids to enjoy. Pool is total garbage they charge you per hour.

Wonderful place to visit at evening with family. Very well maintained and clean, also car parking available for members of Balavana.
There a nice Olympic size swimmers pool over there, which is a great attraction for one and all.
Also there a art museum based on #SHIVARAM KARANTHs Kadambari (Stories)

Good play area and swimming pool is there for childrens. There is a library and art gallery inside is amazing.

A decent place. If you have kids you can bring them here to spend some time. Other than that there is a swimming pool. They charge you per/hour.
