A surprise in HSR layout, so less vegetarian places and yet another hit. Shree khana khazan will provide a variety of vegetable gravy items and authentic Rajasthani taste. Superb stop for daily lunch and dinner.
The food was good here, I and my friend both ordered a badi thali (big thaali) with my friend opting for a jain thali. My thaali consisted of 3 types of sabzi, dal, rice, 4 rotis, 1 piece gulab jamun, 1 piece of papad + plus some salad. Big thali cost was ₹180. Cost was on a high side I feel, but the taste was super good In bangalore, there are very few places where we can find taste of home cooked food, this place is among them.
Menu and what they serve is totally different. One who serves is not aware what is being served. No Aloo in aloo paratha. Thali means 2 paratha one curry but its little expensive. Totally disappointed.
This restaurant is famous for Rajasthani food. Quality of food are really good and this restaurant is budget friendly. Staff are not professionals and service is very slow due to lack of staffs.
Me and my wife had visited and ordered for thali meals and the rate is Rs 180. After 15 mins it was served with 4 very small size roti and a small cup of rice with 3 types of sabji which is not tasty at all Even 5 yr child can't fill their stomach. In one word very worthless and no hygiene.
Very good service. You don't really know what you want to eat until the food is served. They served gulab jamun instead of churma. Amazing ambience. Loved the construction noise.
Best ever restaurant if you don't want anything what is expected in your combo. Instead of churma in dal baati churma devour the very soggy not so tasty gulab jamun and when you ask for chutney you will get Manchurian sauce and that will be quoted as something special for the day and that Manchurian sauce with dal baati. Just great. And wait just don't ask for chutneys with pakora as you will be delighted with green chilli sauce which probably is left overs or spilt overs.
Worst food.got unlimited thali where u have nothing to eat.plz dont waste ur money.u get small bowl of low quality white rice and 4 or 5 rotis with dal one sweet.where you wont dare to ask anything again.
Staff doesn't know what to serve and giving wrong info. Restaurant claims Rajasthani food but no item in thali is genuinely Rajasthani. Price too high for the quality and quantity. Restaurant didn't serve all the items mentioned in the maharaja thali and staff were making excuses that menu was changed. Many of the items were partially cooked while some other over cooked. Owner claimed that guests don't prefer ghee in dal. Without ghee, it can't be genuine Rajasthani Dal Bati Churma. Churma was just grinded paratha with sugar. Overall disappointing lunch.
I was just searching nearby North Indian Restaurant and found this. Went there and saw daal bati in someone's plate. Couldn't believe for a while and then got so much happy! Daal bati churma thali was really good.
Loved it. Tried Maharaja Thali n it's was just awsm. Will try more dishes from the menu. All the foodies, who all r missing the gud north indian taste they should all definitely try this restaurant.
I don’t think this deserve more than this. And specially if you are trying first time Rajasthani food then please don’t try here otherwise you will never try again. They even don’t serve in the way in which Dal Bati should be served.
This is a perfect place for people looking for 'Ghar ka Khana'. Try 'Badi Thali' here, a proper home made meal with 2 sabzi, ghee wali roti, daal, chawal. Ask for chilly pickle, really awesome. Recommended. I had my lunch here daily during my stay in HSR Layout.
This Rajasthani restaurant in HSR layout is a must visit if you are looking for home made food without any added colors or harmful ingredients.
As we visited this place during Navratri so we wanted to have food without onion n garlic, the owner agreed to offer us a thali without onion n garlic
It took cook about 10to 15 mins to prepare this thali
Well when this thali came.it was just superb.it had yummy aalu prathas with delicious plain curd and non spicy paneer gravy.it was just yummy, we really relished it
We saw others eating dal batti churma and other thalis.all were enjoying their food
The only negative point is the substandard ambience, it's not well maintained
As such staff and expecially owner is very polite n curtious
Serve is also ok here
I must say do visit this place if you want to have a good home made food
They offer different types of thalis. This place is value for money
I had visited this place on 12th May. This restaurant is located in second floor which is not mentioned anywhere near the restaurant. The items are very few, the taste wasn't up to the mark and some items were pathetic compared to their quoted price. Overall, I would not recommended anyone to visit this place.
Highly expensive. And they do not serve the same quality which was initially they used to serve. I tried daal-baati there and its the worst daal-baati I ever had in a Rajasthani restaurant. NOT WORTH FOR MONEY.
I visited here today based on the rating and highly disappointed. This is like a normal mess and price is very high for the quality, cleanliness and staff and taste. We ordered badi thali, choti thali and gobi manchurian. They did not fry the gobi properly. Overall not at all worth. Also the place was empty.
I ordered thali from this restaurent. They delivered wrong items. When I called the owner, rather accepting the mistake and understand my problem properly, he misbehaved and argued.
This place is almost like a dhaba. Their food is delicious. And feels very homemade. No use of added colours. Rotis are made with atta without any maida. Authentic rajasthani thalis. Very pocket friendly. The place is clean and properly maintained.
Food is very authentic without artificial colours and no maida in chapati. Awesome food and great hospitality. Ambience is not great but worth giving a try. Its value for money!
We were looking for places to order North Indian food and stumbled upon this place which is located in HSR Layout. So we thought of trying it and trust me, the experience was wonderful. We ordered Paneer Mirch Masala and Mushroom Masala with Phulkas and Lachha paratha. We asked them to make the curries spicy and they followed the instructions. If you love cottage cheese, you shouldn’t miss out one of their signature curries – Paneer Mirch Masala. Mushroom Masala tasted amazing too. Now, whenever we are not in a mood to cook, we can order sumptuous North Indian food from this place. The quantity is enough for two people. Going to try their other curries next time.
Loved the taste, pure vegetarian, the paneer paratha is sooo soft and delicious. And we had mushroom masala too, it tastes good. Don't miss the curd. Lassi is loke average.
A nice cold place for evening food. Daal bati can be considered their speciality. Situated in HSR prime location. It has a good crowd and polite service. Do enjoy your time here.
Though they make good tasty food, the service is way behind. We had ordered a couple of times earlier on Swiggy and liked an item. This time when I was in the vicinity, I decided to go and pick up the item myself. When I reached the place, the welcome was half hearted- like I was disturbing their peaceful time (I was the only customer at this time). While trying to explain the item we liked and how I wanted it, the order taking person was over confident and said he understood what I was asking for. I tried to tell them politely but the person just ignored my talks. Later after getting home, we realised they gave us a completely different items and even over charged us for this.
Cons: Tasty food Good seating area
Cons: Visibility/location- hard to find 2 floors of stairs to reach seating area Rude/negligent customer service Hygiene is a concern No parking area Delayed and slow service
A rather non descripit place in a rather crowded junction that can be missed easily unless you are a regular in the area and/or have a keen eye to spot restaurants. I fall in both categories. Anyway, this place serves traditional Rajasthani food, roti, paratha, sabzi, dal, bhati, churma, kadhi, chola and the works. My fond memory of an old navarathri thali (many years back) at this place dragged back this year looking for the same. Unfortunately, he had no such thali on his menu this year. But he said he will make everything we order with out onion and garlic for navarathri. We ordered a paratha combo and kadhi chawal and a lassi. I must say the food never fails to disappoint here. We left happy and content despite the initial disappointment of not finding the thali we wanted.
