90lakh shivling till now and they are planning for more. Koti means in kannada crore and they will be soon completing to 1 crore. They place was quite and very pleasant. The mind go so attractive to that place.
There are many other lords as well and lot of space. When we last visited there was no crowd.
It's a little far but was definitely a worth going place.
You can go with your family and friends. Advised to wear good and traditional clothes as we already know it's decent and people around them also will support.
They are 10 lakhs short of making a crore lingas at my time of visit. A very peaceful place Beware, some poojaris try to loot money by getting the Pooja done first and then asking for money forcefully.
Awesome place. You need full day if you're visiting from Bangalore. In a way you can visit Chikka Tirupathi. Inside it you will some chat & Dosa options to have for a lunch. There is a ticket to enter into temple.i. E. 20rs
One of the best religious places I ever visited. A Hindu temple dedicated to Shiva. Having more than one crore/ 10 million shivling of all sizes including a 180 feet tall shivling. Located about 35km from Mulabagilu and 86km from Bengaluru. A place worth visiting.
It was one time experience to see this sight but would recommend to go during winters or less sunny day so that one can walk freely barefoot also. Weekend crowd is there, waiting is there to enter temple, and more cleanliness outside the temple can be maintained.
We visited on a public holiday. There is ample parking space available. The main premises has a entry ticket of 20rs. There are three temples inside premises for which there will be queues. You can carry all Puja items like diya, flowers and coconut and perform small Puja on any of the Shivling inside.
Great experience. Went from Bangalore on Monday at about 7 30 am. Great place to visit with your family. You can see the main girbha griha as well as other temples of gods and goddesses apart from that of Lord Shiva. One can witness numerous shivlingam. It is prohibited to take photos insides the girbha griha, but you can take photographs from the arrea whre other shivlingams are situated. One can feel the cool breeze and ambience of faith in this place.
The presiding deity of the temple is Lord Shiva. The temple has one of the largest Shivalingams in the world, and is also home to a crore (10 million) smaller shivlingams.
The temple is a popular pilgrimage destination, and is especially crowded during the Shivaratri festival. The temple complex is well-maintained, and the architecture is both beautiful and impressive. The highlight of the temple is the 33-meter-tall Shivalingam, which is a truly awe-inspiring sight.
If you are a fan of Hindu temples, or if you are simply looking for a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, I highly recommend the Kotilingeshwara Temple. It is a truly special place, and I am sure you will enjoy your visit.
Here are some of the things I liked about the Kotilingeshwara Temple:
The sheer size of the Shivalingam is truly impressive.
The temple complex is well-maintained and beautiful.
The atmosphere at the temple is peaceful and serene.
It is a popular pilgrimage destination, so you will get to experience the vibrant Hindu culture.
Place is good. Have reduced one star because of the people inside the temple, they don't let you go till the time you don't give some money in the temple. My 6 months old was crying and the person standing outside the gate was not letting me cross without going inside the temple. These people should be removed from temple. It's god's place, no one has the right to force us to do anything.
This is quite famous shiv temple in Karnataka, I have visited this temple 3 times, and it's such a beautiful temple. From banglore to kotilingeshwara temple distance is around 90 to 100 kms. It's near from kolar. So if you are in banglore and planning to go out with family and friends then this temple is indeed a best place to go. Please give a thumbs up if you find this review helpful.
A special Temple with Lakhs of Shiva Lingas (refer to the photos).
Worth visiting with family! Private temple with Poojas per schedule. A floating population temple with local celebrations. Local vendors make their food easily.
A very good place to visit on weekends. It lies within 100km from city and roads are good and you get good options to eat as well. Entry iw chargable at ₹20 per head. You can also visit places like someshwara temple and Avni on the same trip. Om Namah Shivay!
Very good temple but horribly management by temple staff. Completely commercialized. Very disorganised. The complete the three temples inside will take a minimum of 2 hours.
Good place for a one day outing.pretty much crowded compared to what it was in 2015. From bangalore it's good to go via Kolar and Bangarpet as it has good road condition.
The temple is good. Not happy with the management They are diverting the crowd in such a way, you are forced to enter every small temple inside. You must not force everyone to enter. Desiples must be free to go than forcing them for pooja etc. Feels bad that you are doing it in business model.
The concept and the determination of the temple trustee is exemplary.located in a 100 kms distance and remote place of Bangalore. Temple should be developed in a broad manner.its conjustive and more to be done.as per the version of the temple dharmadhikari around 35 lakhs lingas were made praristha till date out of 90 lakhs lingas installed.
Place is nice. But it so commercialized that I don't feel much of religious place. Priest and shop keepers should encourage for religious activity rather than commercial.
Temple is awesome, Lord Shiva. The main issue is temple staff and archaka who does this pooja and Mangala arati, they force to us to stand for the pooja or Mangala aarthi, made it mandatory to visit all the temples thr by blocking the other ways to get inside or to go further. It looks all because of money? Or what? If you guys need maintenance cost and all, keep a Entry ticket rather than doing this.
The Kotilingeshwara Temple situated in a very small village named Kammasandra in the Kolar district, Karnataka state. The temple is extremely famous because of the largest and the tallest Shivalinga, more number of shivalingas are there.
As we all know all the temples will be abviously good but there should be proper maintenance to keep that in good atmosphere and in kotilingeshwara temple they should improve their higein
Sri Kotilingeshwara Temple is a wonderful temple situated at Kammasandra village between Bangarapet and Bethamangala. Kotilingeshwara, meaning 10 million lingas, is one of the famous pilgrimage sites around Bangalore with great religious significance. This temple is famous for huge 108 feet Shivalinga, which is one of the largest in the world and 35 feet tall Nandi in front of it. There are lakhs of shivalingas all over the temple. The temple was built in 1980 over an area of 13 acres.
There are several other shrines inside the temple complex and they are usually visited while moving towards the main shivalinga. Apart from the main shrine of Prabhu Kotilingeshwara, the other shrines include Prabhu Brahma, Prabhu Vishnu and Prabhu Maheshwara temples, Venkataramani Swamy Temple, Goddess Annapoorneshwari Temple, Prabhu Panduranga Swamy Temple, Prabhu Panchamukha Ganapathy temple, Prabhu Rama, Lakshmana and Sita Temple, Prabhu Anjaneya Temple, Goddess Kanyaka Parameshwari Temple and Goddess Karumaari Amma Temple.
Simply amazing temple. One needs minimum of an hour to visit this temple. Magnanimous statue of lord Shiva and Nandi. One can pay and install a Shiv Ling statue in the temple. Countless number of mini shiv lings are available.
90 lakhs shiva lings. That is enough for craving. But the floor near biggest shivling is very hot during sunshine, avoid going there as there is no shed. Lifetime experience
Temple good. All poojaries commercial minded. In all Temples your poojaries forcefully done the poojas from the visitors and expected huge amount. If not give unwanted words heard from them.
I expected this place to me very religious, cleanliness was not well maintained. They take ₹20 per ticket and in all temples located inside this location ask donations, they presurise us to donate money. Rest all was ok.
Huge place with with om Nam shivaya every where almost all the gods present here. It will take at least 2 hours to cover whole.place.in a single day koladevi and Bangaru Thirupathi can be covered.
The mighty Almighty Lord Shiva! Located in KGF. Around 105 km from banashankari, Bangalore. NH75 HIGHWAY covers most of the distance. Remaining 25 kms the road is little worn-out with some puddles here and there. Around 90 lakh Shiva linga is present in the temple. There is a linga mara in the temple premises which is believed to bring your wishes true. People tie some yellow thread. Those who wish to be blessed with a baby tie a totlu.
Can do better by organising and maintaining the queue. It is Totally unorganised, also since there is so much of tourist, toilets could have been better.
Kotilingeshwara temple is located in Kolkata after the K. G. F stop. If you are travelling from Bangalore you can take train from majestic railway station to Bangarpete. And then from bangarpete you need to take bus. Temple is huge and beautiful but it's not that clean. Annasantarpana us available on special occasion s. Speciality of this temple is there is worlds largest and tallest Shiva lingam.
A Hindu temple with around 90lack idols of lord Shiva. It's really a pleasant sight and experience to see the temple. Worth spending few hours. U can have a ride from blore to this temple as it's only 100km from blore
Wonderful temple with almost 1 crore Sivalingas, nicely organized, there are other God temples also in the complex, especially trinity temple, and very neatly maintained. One can spend easily a day here.
Nice Place but no maintenance of innumerable Lord Shiva's Linga inside the Temple and it seems to be Archakas or Poojaries are having financial target to collect money from the devotees (without force) keep saying give money for Flowers, Rice and Poojas and everybody touching shiva linga which must not allow from the point of religious aspect as well protect statue. Name of the donator must be banned below shiva linga statue. Please maintain cleaningness over all statues. Forming statue is not a big deal maintenance of lingas is very important and remove some linga which are broken. OM Shambo Shiva Shankara Hara Hara Mahadev.
Nice place to visit, here you can spend good time. In weekend rush is more inside the main temple. From entrance to exit, temple’s staffs are following a queue of devotee and the way of queue there are so many small temple are there, where staff are demanding money and they are not allowing to you to skip the queue.
Beautiful place to visit. Too much tokens for everything. Get a Shivalingam placed with your name on it. Sizes vary according to price. Feel free to take pictures.
Drive to this place could be exhausting but it's totally worth it. Best time to visit is during sun set.
Nice temple Every where siva lingam, but I am missing that spiritual energy means that vibration. We started from Bangalore via kolar. After kolar route is not good especially last 20 km horrible. My advice is first you must visit kolar someshwara temple and kollaramma temple (next to someshwara temple) these two place u can feel that vibration and it's very old temple. In someshwara temple is too good and kalyana mandam is there it's specially for sculpture lovers. Kollarmma temple is full of positive energy.
Om Namah shivaya, Almost It reach Kotilinags inside the Temple complex, Good hangout place with family with divine feeling, must visit place very near to Andhra/Tamilnadu borders, direct bus services from Kolar gold fields, from Andhra side piligrims came from Venkatagiri Kota town, U can felt thrilling after saw humourous lingams in temple complex and Venkateswara temple, Ganapathi, anajaneya temples also located in Premises,
An awesome place. The name of the place is Kotilingeswara. So one would expect 1 crore of Shiva Linga. And truely, there are so many that you won't be able to count. The actual temple for Puja is an ordinary one. But outside decoration with lots of Shiva Linga is super.
Our village the famous temple in surroundings and can get blessed with God Shiva and different temples inside can enjoy kotishivalinga dharshanam visit and take blessings
Good place for devotees. Hindhu temple. This place contains more than ninty lakhs (9000000+) shivlingas as well as its is speciality is this temple includes all the indian gods
This place have threemorthee's {Brahma Vishnu Maheshwara} these also special
Kotilingeshwara Temple. Situated in the small village of Kammasandra in Kolar district, Karnataka State. The temple was constructed over 14 acres of land by Swamy Sambha Shiva Murthy. The first Linga was installed on 10th of October 1980. Since then, more and more Lingas have are being installed surrounding the temple. As of now there are about 90 lakh Lingas in the temple. 108 feet tall Linga is considered to be the largest in Asia. There is also a huge 35 feet tall Nandi. There are eleven small temples of various deities within the premises of the Kotilingeshwara temple. It takes about 2 hours by road to reach this temple from Bengaluru. One can also visit Antaragange cave and Mata seeta temple near Kolar
Devotional place. And a historical value. Roads are nice and nice place to visit. 2 hours journey from Banglore.nice place for a weekend for a day visit
This place has lot of shivlingas. Good place to visit for half a day journey from Bengaluru. Ypu can plan and visit Avni (birth place of luv and kush) and kotilingeshwara
This is a nice temple with lot many shiva lingas. As per the priest there are around 90 lakh shiva lingas there. I went with my family on a Tuesday and the place was not much crowded. I think it will be more crowded on holidays/weekends. Nice temple for a small timeout/visit with family and friends. The road via kolar is good except for last 1-2 kms which passes through small villages, if you are travelling from Bangalore.
