From the ceiling to the floor, from the pillars and to the doors, everything to do with this home enjoys rooted and endearing nuances, while beautifully syncing with the easy and tranquil pace around it.

Every single corner has a story to tell and memories for every guest to create.

Our early morning leisurely walks, sipping away hot tea, swinging away merrily on the antique wooden swing, meditating with bird song, every single day was rejuvenating and we are immensely grateful to the owners/hosts for sharing their joy and space with us.

The food was therapy for the soul! The mildly spiced flavoursome curries and many other traditional dishes that tingle your taste buds and awaken your appetite.

I strongly believe that a great stay is incomplete without the warmth and hospitality of the staff and a large part of our gratitude goes to the staff who made our stay super comfortable. Special mention to Dhiraj - the amazing cook at the estate, always wears a warm smile, ever ready to serve wholeheartedly. Mr. Feroz, a generous gentleman who drove us to various locations that would include and permit our 3yr old pet, Brownie.

Its a sweet homestay but a little over-priced. Their hospitality was warm and kind with sweet in-house cooks but the meals seemed pricey again. They have lots of games, books, and a common room to meet new people and share new memories while also providing private space for you and your loved ones. The care takers are quite helpful and generous in making sure that your stay is comfortable.
Overall, it was a sweet experience but over-pricey for the services being provided.

A nice location in the midst of coffee estates. We reached the estate quite late & it was thrilling to go there in the night, with no vehicles around amid the darkness. Rooms are okay, there is 24/7 hot water supply however the shower was not properly directed, must carry own toiletries (as informed before), we got soap on request but carried toothbrushes, paste, shampoo on own, there was hand wash though. The common hall has got some artefacts & photos. There was no free amenities like camp fire, games, no activitiy as part of the 'stay'.
When it comes to food, both the dinner and breakfast were good taste wise however we would have preferred coorg authentic foods rather (MEANT A LOCAL CHEF FROM COORG), not saying the food was bad however we like South Indian taste, the chef is from Bihar but is very friendly, Ganesh and another person from kitchen were cordial with us & were not hesitant to take any orders. The evening snacks, with 2 cups of coffee costed us 275, which was actually not worth at all considering the taste. We had ordered pakoda, it was a mix veg pakoda (onion, brinjal, cauliflower). The hostess asked our choice of food before the order.
There is a beautiful brooke running below the estate, the stretch outside the estate was good for a walk, trekking. We enjoyed trekking till almost the 'Botlappa temple', suggested by the hostess. However apart from that there was no activities inside the estate. It's good for one day stay, just to eat food, sit & relax. I needed a help with draping kodava saree, the hostess helped with the drape, thank you so much:) really appreciate your time:)

Lovely place and awesome people. Owner of property is very loving lady. The staff is also very friendly and helpful. They love to serve the guests and go extra mile to make the stay pleasant and comfortable.
The brook/river near the estate is cherry on the cake.
We stayed there for 2 nights and it was a very homely feeling.
Last but not the least food was superb and delicious. We helplessly overate.

I travelled with two friends and stayed for 3 nights. It was a beautiful experience. The decor was beautiful and the ambience just what I had thought. Just two things that struck me which does not really take away anything from the overall experience - Since it is really remotely located, voice carries, so guests need to be sensitised regarding that especially late in the nights and early mornings. Also, the staff was polite, courteous and prompt - but maybe the time could be better managed. The food was simple and tasty. Lovely dosas for breakfast. Will certainly recommend.

The owner claims one has to pay in full and cannot cancel. This was told to us at the last minute and not even when we informed about our plans 24 hrs prior.enough notice was given.cancellation policies were not clearly stated either by the agent or the owner at the time of booking. Even hotels accepts cancellation prior to 24 hrs. Yes, as stated by the owner, some people come in life to teach a lesson. We trusted the owner is friendly and considerate. But unfortunately, we had to face quite a rude attitude. Being in the service industry, customers cannot be treated like this. Such a bitter experience at the end, to an otherwise great stay. We fell for the location! That’s our mistake!

Not well maintained for the price, food is overpriced, environs are beautiful. We chose Silver Brook Estate based on the reviews. The pictures also looked quite good. But sometimes photographs especially from social media do not correctly depict the real picture. We booked 2 rooms for 3 days, for a family holiday. We arrived at the estate, but it was more like a guest house run by staff, as the hosts were out of station. The house is charming with a photogenic verandah, but the rooms were damp and dirty, the bathrooms were rarely cleaned and towels and the bathroom mat was wet and damp from before we entered the room. There was mould and fungus on the window blinds and even in the cupboards.

Since the place is so far from Madikeri and there weren't any options for food close by (nothing within walking distance), we chose to eat dinner at the estate. Meals were very overpriced at Rs. 750 per person, per meal. Meals consisted of a dal, 1 chutney, 1 dry vegetable, paneer or gatte ki subzi and chicken/fish upon request. The quality and presentation of the food is comparable to a very ordinary rice-plate kind of place which are very cheap, but perhaps better in taste and presentation. The overall service was messy and the tables weren't cleaned from the earlier meals, the napkins/serviettes were just plain paper! For this price, I would expect better quality at any establishment!

We requested our towels and bath mat to be changed twice, but it was left as it was even when we came back after our outing for the day. Finally, we had to carry the towels outside to tell the staff to change them, as they were wet for two days! They eventually complied.

There was one TV in one of the rooms we had booked and we turned it on in the evening since we had a child with us there was there was nothing to watch as the Tata Play account was not charged.

The best thing about the place is that it is nestled in a lush, green environment with plenty of trees. It has a lovely verandah with a swing, (as visible in all the pictures!) which photographs really well. But is it value for money? No. Is it well maintained? NO. Is it warm and welcoming? No, our hosts weren't there. Was it run well in their absence? No.

While, I don't expect a homestay to be a hotel, I do expect it to be clean, dry and well maintained, as at the end of the day, it is a commercial establishment.

A beautiful property with the best of architecture, plantations and serene atmosphere altogether. The newly setup largest room is huge and perfect for a family. The art and architecture of this place is a delight and the staff is very kind and friendly to take care of you with the most they can. Booked the bonfire for my birthday celebration and it was amazing. We missed meeting Revathi but her assistance since first day gave us the assurance of a comfortable stay. The tour of the brook and plantations was amazing during the drizzling morning along with the friendly dog ‘Jan Bon’ at the estate. Thank you Silver Brook Estate for the lovely experience.

Stayed at Silver Brook Estate for 5 days in the second week of November. The scenic beauty of the place simply took our breath away. The rooms were so clean, the food out of this world and the hospitality to be seen to be believed. Had a wonderful time.

We had a wonderful stay at Silver Brook.
The rooms are spacious and you really need to only sleep in them. The running verandah well laid out around the rooms is an ideal way to spend your day and evenings. You can come here in a small group and occupy all 5 rooms.
Fantastic hospitality and food!

Excellent food, service and CoVid safe! We enjoyed our stay here, the place has a nice decor. The host and the staff ensured we were well taken care of!

Yogesh and Revathi are great hosts and they took great care of us.the place itself is amazing and is very well kept. There are quite a few trails that one can take, a brooke flows next to the property and you can spend a lot of time sitting along the brooke. The food is superb, home cooked and very hygienic. Overall this has been a great stay for us and we would love to come back to this fantastic homestay again.

Let me break-down our experience at Silver Brook into the below dimensions:

1. Living admist Nature
Silver Brook delivers gloriously on this front. The stream which is 30 seconds from the property is probably the most beautiful place in Coorg. Have spent many mornings sitting on the rocks by the stream hearing the birds chirp lost admist divine beauty. Replaced what "Streaming" means for me from Netflix to Nature! That apart the garden, the many flowers and greenery gives an extremely rejuvenating feeling. For me Silver Brook resembles heaven on earth!

2. Unbelievable homestay warmth
The warmth of the hosts Revathi and Yogesh and the Silver Brook staff is the secret sauce that would make me pick this place over a five star hotel/ resort any day. While there are innumerable instances of this warmth displayed during our stay I'll narrate 1 instance here for the sake of brevity. For my wife's birthday the hosts went out of the way to make it one of her most memorable birthdays- Yogesh, who worked for 20 years at the Taj himself cooked a full course Italian meal consisting of delectable Potato Leek Soup, 2 types of pastas, mouth watering Pizza, herbed potatoes and succulent breads. If the food wasn't enough they went out of their way to set up this lunch in an outdoor setting by the garden complete with Italian music. An amazing birthday celebration during any period let alone during Covid.

3. Karaoke Partayyy and friendships made
Over the course of our stay, my wife and I met so many amazing guests from very diverse professional backgrounds and age groups. Many of these guests have become good friends. What makes this possible is the warmth of the hosts in creating an environment which encourages ice breaking and interaction amongst guests- something that wouldn't occur as naturally when you say visit a hotel or resort. Revathi who is an internationally acclaimed dancer is an amazing singer and sets the scene with mind-blowing Karaoke parties churning out hit numbers such as "Koi Yahan Nache Nache". Such was the environment created that over the course of my stay have picked up a love for Karaoke.

Oh by the way it's a great place to work/ workacation- found working admist nature much more satisfying compared to working admist concrete walls during work from home.

All in all a SUPER experience - We will be back here soon!

Traveling during pandemic times is fraught with anxiety; however, after talking to Revathi I felt a lot more confident. Her hospitality is unmatched. And, so is the aura of Silver Brook Estate. The rooms were sanitized before our arrival and upon request they sanitized it once in front of us. Food was delicious, and since we were a big family they prepared the menu according to our request - bf, lunch and dinner. The best part was the evening Karaoke setup for us. And, Revathi joined in to make it perfect. The brook right across the Estate is beautiful. Loved the sounds of birds waking me up in the morning. I hope to return soon.

Perfect place if you are looking for peace and tranquility. Hospitality and food are excellent. My daughter is 5 years old and hence we had some special requests in terms of food which the staff happily helped with.
We will definitely do it again.
