Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology

This was one of the UGC NET exam centres for the December term. Though it was not in the heart of the city, people still poured in. Afterall, it is the pathway that leads them to become a research scholar.

Coming to the campus, the infrastructure was good with a canteen opposite to the building as well. Since it is not on the main road, there is no sound pollution and pretty peaceful. Travelling might be an issue considering the distance. Regarding placements, one can always feel free to visit the official website.

Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology (Sir MVIT) is an Institute of repute in the state of Karnataka founded by Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust in 1986. The institute offers nine B. E.degree programs in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science & Engineering, Industrial Engineering & Management, Telecommunication, Information Science and Bio-Technology and four Masters Programs in Computer Applications, Business Administration, Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Electronics.

There's innovation and design thinking sir named Sundaraguru. He is a racist. He starts his class by asking which state they belong to. Worst professor ever. Never seen such a professor in my whole life. He discriminates non karnataka students very badly.

Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology  (Commonly referred to as Sir MVIT). The Institute is named after Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvaraya, a well known Engineer, Statesman and a former Diwan of Mysore. The institute was founded and established in 1986 by the Sri Krishnadevaraya Educational Trust and offers programs in the field of Technical Education. The Institute is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University and approved by All India Council for Technical Education,  New Delhi. Sir MVIT is an ISO 9001: 2008 Certified Institution.
Sir M. Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology has on its Campus, Men’s & Women’s Hostels, 100 bed General Hospital, Ladies Amenities Center, Staff Quarters, Guest House, Cafeteria, Outdoor Sports Facility spread over 12.1 Hectares and an Indoor Games Complex. Apart from the Engineering College, there’s a M. B. A department, Sir M V School of Architecture (B. E) and a Dental College (Krishnadevaraya College of Dental Sciences and Hospital) as well, where all Students and Working Staff can get the treatment done with concessions of 50%. The Institute power requirements are met by a dedicated HT Power Connection from BESCOM and Captive Power Generating units. The institute is connected to all the parts of the city by its own fleet of Buses. All the students admitted to the institute are covered by insurance for life and medical care.
Sir M Visvesvaraya Institute of Technology is spread out on 133 acres of barren land along NH 7, near Air Force Station, Yelahanka, in North Bangalore, close to Bengaluru International Airport  (21 km from Bangalore City Junction). Although it is far from the city centre, it is accessible as BMTC buses ply within walking distance, and some pass through the college campus itself, like 283A.

The smvit college has the WORST LOCATION
WORST INFRASTRUCTURE

- Its located "VERY FAR" from the main BANGALORE city area.
- you will never be able to enjoy your college days if u join this college.
- My Friend is repenting joining there because of the worst location.
- it will take you around 1000 RUPEES to go to and fro to the city center in a cab.

- People will tell you, this college has good placements, but that doesn't matter. This is Bangalore, the capital city of Karnataka guys, u will easily find more good colleges with Best locations.
- it's close to Bangalore airport.you will feel like u r in a jungle
- Hostel is like Ashram.worst.

Still if you wish to join this college, please do go and visit the college once before you join it

P.s: I have visited it by paying 1000 ruppes for a cab.
My friend is repenting joining it.
