Try SAME PLATE - khara bath, single idli & vada in one plate with chutney. You will be hooked to it. Great quality food good at affordable prices. But being a small place be ready for cramped space to take out your food. It Can be difficult to find car parking. Two wheeler parking is available on the road.
One of the many good iconic outlets in Bangalore. The food especially the vada the idly and kesari bath is a definite must have. Coffee is too good. Extremely tasty food. It's all self service. Food is served from the kitchen to the counters extremely fast and it's very efficient.
A definite must have food place to visit if you are in bengaluru. For people who are new to this place do remember that there are no tables or chairs inside the hotel. One can take the food and find a good spot outside and relish this food.
Crunchy vada, soft soft idli along with spicy chutney. Heaven on earth. Masala dosa with butter is one more delicious item. You can have that chutney just by itself. Must must must try place, each and every penny is worth for the food. Definately a must visit place even if you are staying in Mysore, not exaggerating you will feel the same after visiting here
The quality of the food here has gone down lately and the prices have increased drastically too. Not worth the money anymore. I can claim that there are better breakfast joints at cheaper prices and great food. The chutney here is too spicy. The quality is not being maintained.
Amaazing food! The whole experience from start to finish is great & staff is super-fast with their service and friendly. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the portion size. Always a great spot to get great food.
Very popular with public. Excellent extra roasted coffee. Typically available only here. Our favourite. Celebrated place for years with permanent patrons for their piping hot idli chutney, dosa, maddur vade, Uddin wada, kharabhat, Kesari bhat and many other snacks.
We visited this place again, and specifically for the famed (and rightly so) the chutney - which is the highlight of this beloved eatery in Banashankari. This place qualifies in its own right to be a land mark!
Amazing soft, steaming Idlis with fresh crisp Vadas with chutney and benne (dollop of butter on top) is our favourite. Whilst the masala and khaki dosa are equally commendable- they are not in same league of idli
And repeating again, chutney is what makes this place so special - in fact one person is sitting outside with bucket full of chutney to serve extra!
Coffee, tea, rice bath and kesari bath are good but those are not something I would recommend this place for.
Given current circumstances only draw back this place is - social distancing and crowd control measures. We had to stand 50 meters away and eat.
Two wheeler parking is not an issue but 4 wheelers will need to struggle in peak hours.
SLV is synonymous with their all day South Indian breakfast dishes.quick & easy.hygienic & consistent.a customer since 30+ yrs.can still recollect and compare the old taste with today’s.i feel there is very little change.apart from the price of course & new additions in the menu.dont miss the idli vada chutney.the masale dosae has a big fanbase too.end this with a piping hot strong filter coffee.you are set for the day!
Highly overpriced. I am not sure why the guy at the counter charged me Rs. 100 for two plates of idli-vade. Maybe he wanted some pocket money for himself. LOL! Definitely not visiting this place again. You may or may not get parking right in front of it but if you know your way around here, you can find a spot. Had idli and vada and they were really good. But nothing too special to warrant the cost of Rs. 100 for just idli-vade. NOPE! P. S.: (I have the proof of payment)
This place serves amazinggg vada. If u r heading to Banashankari, must try the vada here. Idli was good (not out of the box). Masala Dosa, on the other hand, was below average. Regretted the decision to buy Dosa. We had also ordered Avalakki bath (poha), but after tasting the vada we got our order of poha changed to vada. Unlike many other south indian snack / breakfast restaurants that I have been to, this was very noisy. The service boys were shouting out orders in a funny way. The place was also very congested. I would suggest to take-away (they offer packing option). Vada is a must
Small eater, no seating available inside. Taste wise Masala dose, khara bath and vade are my favorites though all the items are good to taste. Coffee I dint liked here.
This restaurant is one of the best places to eat authentic south Indian breakfast in South Bangalore. Located right across the BDA complex, BDA park and very close to BNMIT college.
Dishes that you must have here are masala dosa, and kharabhat other than the regular idli and Vada.
One thing to keep in mind is they don't serve sambar. Only chutney is served, so for all the sambar lovers it might be kind of irritating.
The restaurant is easily visible from a moving vehicle. Also because of the amount of crowd that literally pours out on the streets. Parking is tough to find around the restaurant especially for cars.
Rest assured you'll enjoy the taste of the food! Have a great time. If you found this review helpful please leave a like. I really appreciate it.
Awesome Idlis with tasty chutney; no sambar though. Good place for morning breakfasts. Parking us sometimes a problem. Otherwise a must place if stay near or visit Banashankari.
Love this place.it's been a mainstay in local food for a few decades now. Despite being around for that long the taste remains the same. The location continuous to improve and expand. It's conveniently located and has a excellent system to quickly serve good food in large quantities. It's priced very reasonably and has good road side parking. The menu options are fixed but sufficiently cater to repeat customers. Must go food joint in bsk.
Probably the best south Indian breakfast / snack place. The chutney they serve here is the best. Should I say anymore about the heavenly coffee!? Although there is no sit out, there is a huge crowd during mornings and evenings. If you're new to the locality you might not find the place but all you have to do it find the huge crowd that's always there in front of the restaurant.
Been my first option for idly chutney breakfast done I was 8 years. Has a history of over 40years I believe. Always the same. You'll never get disappointed.
Authentic taste of Karnataka breakfasts. Chutney taste is very good. Price is very reasonable and various joints across Bangalore, especially in southern Bangalore. Value for Money!
