I am Mahabur Mia from Cooch Bihar district of West Bengal last 11/10/2023 Prastha Hospital Dr. Arvind Bhatija sir has no appointment. Sir saw all my reports and said I have L4L5 disc herniation. Then I do all the reports and the operation is done the next morning. That afternoon I went for a walk. The next day Dr. Arvind Bhatija sir discharged me. Absolutely he is good caring doctor. He is the best doctor in my view because before operation he gave relief you will recover soon. After surgery, severe pain may disappear. Now I walk alone properly. I went to Dr Arvind Bhateja when I had struggled for over 2 months with a very bad slip disc, Before visiting him, I had visited a few Orthopedic Surgeons, None of them were even able to find out how weak I was by doing a simple test, although all of them had concluded by telling my condition is weak and some wanted to inject me, somehow had no faith in them until I met Dr Arvind, he had me right at the start, performed the most common test to understand the seriousness of my problem, explained me everything, Kept my confidence high and finally within 3 days of meeting him, I was Pain free. He performed a surgery on my prolapsed / degenerated disc and slowly after 3 months of my process, from being pain free from day of surgery to now, each day I have been thankful and grateful to him.
Just not the surgery, its the entire process and they way the diagnosis was done, I highly recommend anyone who has a sciatica issue along with a disc problem to visit and consult him. This is just not a review, but a word of appreciation to the Doctor and the hospital itself.

I had a shooting jabbing pain in my neck and restricted movements of my right arm. Had no clue what I was headed for. The doctors in Australia wanted to put me on corticosteroids to ease the pain. I sent my reports to Dr Arvind Bhateja who correctly diagnosed me with a prolapsed disc and severe nerve damage requiring immediate surgery. If delayed I could potentially have irreparable nerve damage to my right arm. I am glad I made the decision to fly to Bangalore and have my surgery with Dr Arvind and his team at Sparsh Hospital. The surgery was done to near perfection with no complications. So much so that the two inch cut is unnoticeable! A flawless job well executed by the best in the business. I recently had the opportunity to visit Sparsh and get the chance to engage with the team to diagnose, treat and heal a fractured vertebra in my mother's back.

The first couple of visits were for the X-Rays, MRI & CT-Scan. Sparsh quickly pulled in the experts to assess, with the Orthopaedic and Neurosurgeons (Dr. Usman) reviewing first, and then pulling in the Rheumatologist (Dr. Bafna). We also had Dr. Bomanna Gowda help with a visit.

With Mom's mobility restricted the next few weeks treatment and counseling was done remotely through calls and our family visiting in person. Dr. Bafna was absolutely amazing in being responsive to calls/messages and proactively following up.

The severity of the condition required surgical intervention and engagement from Dr. Bhateja. In collaboration with the Sparsh team Dr. Bhateja made the decision for surgery. The complexity of the fracture made the procedure tricky, but Dr. Bhateja and Dr. Raghavendra collaborated to perform a very successful surgery. The follow-ups, counseling, explanation of the condition and what is required for recovery was done effectively by Dr. Bhateja and Dr. Usman.

During our hospital stay, I was very impressed by the dedication of the team of nurses, housekeeping and the excellent cafeteria that made our stay comfortable. The Customer care team led by Soma was on top of our entire experience from checking in, the hospital stay through checkout.

The dedication of the Sparsh team, the empathy, the quick decision making, collaboration between the different departments, and the seamless transition internally was very impressive. I am a patient of Slip disc. I am from West Bengal. My back pain started from November, 2021. At first I went to some local physicians. They tried to treat me normally. But the last Orthopaedic Surgeon advised me to do an MRI test. But by then one month had already passed. The situation was getting worse. My right leg was getting numb whenever I tried to walk. I was suffering from themendons pain on the back side of my right leg. I could not even sleep at night without pain killers. After seeing the MRI report, the doctor diagnosed me with slipped disc and told me that surgery was needed. I was panic stricken. Then I went to a physiotherapist. He told me that my condition will be treated with physiotherapy and I wouldn't need surgery. So I started physiotherapy. But my condition was getting worse. The movement of my right leg reduced by a significant amount. The sense of my right foot vanished nearly. And the pain became unbearable. Then the local physiotherapist advised me to use foot drop splint. The loss of sense in my right foot was to immense that I had to walk with a walking sticke and even then I could walk for five minutes max. Then I decided to go to Bangalore to treat my condition. After Coming to Bangalore, I came to know of Dr. Arvind Bhateja. I went to him. He saw my MRI report and explained to me in details why surgery is necessary for me. Then he told me that he would do minimal invasive micro surgery ". He also explained to me how the surgery would be done and what were the pros and cons of the sugery. I got admitted in Sparsh Hospital. There he did the surgery successfully. After surgery, I didn't feel any pain in my right leg and the pain of the wound of the surgery was also significantly less. After the surgery, Dr. Bhateja came to me and asked me whether I was feeling any problem or not in details. Every staff of Sparsh Hospital was caring and they had genuine nursing mentality. After getting admitted in the hospital, they took me to do to various kinds of test with care. They even did some test in my bed. They gave medicine and food time to time. They did everything with love and care. I didn't feel any fear at all. Each and every staff of the hospital was professional and friendly. One day after the surgery the physiotherapist of Sparsh Hospital came and showed me fome exercises to regain the movement of my right leg. She also advised me to start walking a little and also told me to call the brother or sister of the hospital to assist me while walking. I didn't have to call them. They came from time to time for assit. After a few days of the surgery, the doctor gave me a checkup date. As I am from West Bengal and it is very far from Bangalore, on that day he sent me to the Sparsh hospital physiotherapist and the physio showed some exercise that I must do after a month of the surgery. She not only showed me but also recorded the exercise in a mobile phone and gave me the recordings so that I do not face any problem doing the exercises a month later. Now one and half month has passed after the surgery and I don't have any pain in my right leg. My right leg moverment has increased significantly. My legs do not get numb now and I can walk now without walking stick. All credit goes to Dr. Arvind Bhateja and his team for my speedy recovery. Without Dr. Bhateja's minimal invasive micro surgery it would not have been possible. Many thanks go to all staff of Sparsh Hospital for their professional, kind and caring behavior. They did not even let me feel homesick for a moment. I came back to West Bengal by train after seven days of surgery and I did not face any problem in those 2 days of train journey. After one and half month I am now almost well.

Had been to sita bhateja hospital for my son's operation under Dr. Rolson Sandeep, everything went on so smooth and had a very good experience in the hospital. Doctors and staffs are excellent.
