All staff is busy on their phones.they did not bother to tell me that the reciept has to be presented at a different counter to get your drink and i took a seat and kept waiting.will not revisit
This is one of the famous places in Bangalore which serves amazing faluda, lassi's, ice cream fusion and many more. This outlet is so refreshing after tiresome shopping in commercial streets. The side dishes available here are also good. Pasta was yum. Chats are also available.service is also very quick.
Absolutely loved it.delicious menu.had been here for desserts but next time plan to try their snacks as well.good thing is the pricing are reasonable for the quality and variety they offer. Host of flavors in Lassi and ice creams.the dessert place to go to.looking forward for a visit again soon
Amazing lassi's. I have been drinking lassi from this place almost for 10 years now. Nothing can match it. Also the sizzler brownies are just so yummm.
Lassi is a great coolant – whether it is given a twist adding fruits, or kept simple with a dash of sugar or salt. A lassi bar on Lavelle Road in a Bengaluru of the 1970s.imagine. Probably one of the earliest times when a concoction from the north was available here? In the south it has largely been a much watered down buttermilk that has been the cooling drink.
With a history of over 40 years, Sreeraj Lassi Bar is one of the most iconic spots on the city’s food map. For many of us old timers here, the place holds strong gustatory memories. In simpler times, it was a Sunday family treat.almost a revered ritual — going to Cubbon Park and then treated to the lusciously thick lassi and creamy kulfis at Sreeraj Lassi Bar.
The memory of that same taste is refreshed each time you have their goodies, because things haven’t changed much at Sreeraj. Milk still comes from a dairy farm in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu. It is still boiled on wooden fires - one of the open secrets of the distinct taste that all their products have. The curd is made in-house. Any milk found unsatisfactory while boiling at their Shantinagar factory is sent right back!
Abdu Rahiman, who came from Kerala to Bengaluru in the 1970s initially sold kulfis on the street out of boxes. After a few years of struggle, Sreeraj Hotel on Lavelle Road offered him space to set up a stall, and the lucky name has stuck on to the legendary chain ever since. Today they have nine branches spread across Bengaluru and one in Dubai, with a second soon to be added.
Today, Abdu Rahiman is no more and Sreeraj Lassi Bar is run by his three sons. Kahab C. K, the youngest of the three, talks of how they initially started with four flavours of lassi – sweet, salt, khara and pudina. They are served in thick tall glass tumblers. Mango lassi, introduced in summer, is a hot favourite and continues to be on the menu seasonally. You just need to take a sip of this divine drink. In fact it is so thick you can eat it with a spoon! Apparently the consistency is maintained by putting the lassi though a churner, not a conventional mixer. Sweet mango does a tango with the slightly sour notes of the lassi and the final balance it creates is sublime. Another seasonal favourite is the pink jewel-toned strawberry lassi.
“Fresh fruits go well with lassi, ” observes Kahab. Their pineapple and grape lassi, available through the year, are the other classic staples. Their more recent addition is the mixed fruit lassi - starring apple, banana, pineapple and papaya. Lassi is traditionally sought out as a “coolant”, more so in summers, but people are apparently not deterred by winters either
Out of all the nice things in sreeraj lassi bar, it is definitely the lassi which makes its mark. The ambience is great. The only problem is the parking.
Excellent place and available at many places in Bangalore. Also, Shivajinagar branch has been remodeled and have a cafe on the upper floor. Good place for family.
Today i.e 27th July 2021 around 8PM IST I bought 8 pista badam kulfi, costing 480 rupees all kulfi I found not tasty, even felt already expired item. Very strange and odd feeling
Owner is least interested in listening to customer and placing orders. He was completely engrossed in counting notes and coins. He didn't even inform that the customer needs to give the payment bill to worker, who are anyway just 1 feet away from the him at the billing counter. Why to give this additional headache to the customer to pass the receipt to workers, stupidity at it's best.
Tasty lassi. And good mango milkshake too. Rose milk was pink but it wasn't rose or strawberry. It was something else. Even shrikhand was tasty. Do buy.
Got impressed on first visit only before some years. Taste is very great thats why still filled with crowd. Small outlet in that location that was continuing running for many decades with same taste. Milkshakes, falooda, nd mainly lassi quality is high on the mark and making to visit often.
This is my favourite place to have many choice of lassi. Clean and tasty. Kulhad (earthen ware) lassi is simple and very good with two flavours- mango and plain. Refreshing and filling too. Has many ice-cream based as well as falooda etc. Nice sitting arrangements and good ambience. But no toilet.parking in front (on the road) is permitted. Perhaps the police is taken care?
The new interior is eye catchy and good looking and one thing to tel you that after ordering you have to pass the receipt to the next counter, so they can start preparing the ordered food.
The juices served here are amazing and the fruits used are fresh. They serve sandwiches and brownies and garlic bread as well. The snacks are not great but good enough for a quick bite. The management is very cooperative and friendly. They are open late night which is a great perk.
We went there after 7 years.lots of change in looks.they have done a very good make over.one thing which is not changed is the quality of the Lassi.i still remember this place when i came to bangalore 20 years back, they are too good.we all enjoyed the falooda and the signature dish which is sweet lassi.its a good place.one should visit.you can park your car in westside which is bang opposite Sreeraj Lassi Bar.i recommend.
Ordered matka lassi, but the taste was like normal lassi and it was not at all thick. Told at the cash counter the person refused to change telling me to adjust. Staff not at all polite and humble. I think they are running high on their success and one/two customers gone won't make much difference.
A great place if you love ice cream and lassi. No fancy things but a pure joy to the taste buds. A must visit if you are at commercial street for shopping.
