Sri Ranga Homestay

I stayed one night here. Walkable distance to jog falls. The stay was pleasant and calm. The room is okay to stay for a night and to have sleep. I traveled with my family so safely to stay with family.

Owner is very helpful and kind. Got late to reach location but owner followed up by calling and guiding on the frequency of buses to the location. Came to pick up from bus stop as we reached late to the location.

One of the best stay in the locality and the best service offered by the staff, the rooms are very clean and neat.

He is a cheater, he cheats people. He take money for home stay and shift people to badly smelling lodge with lots of insects which can bite you so book it on your own risk

This lodge has clean and wide rooms with neat and clean sheets. Cleanliness is well maintained and they rooms for even large group of people. There is hot water facility for taking bath during winter season.

Just next to the homestay we can see the river sharavati flowing towards jog falls and on the other side of the river is the thick forest region. It's the best place to witness sun rise/set and if you're lucky you will also get to see peacocks, tucans and other exotic birds.

Although there are no hotels available nearby the food provided in the homestay is quite tasty as it's freshly prepared by their cook and served. They have both veg/non-veg cuisine but limited items.

Be prepared to cut yourself from outside world as there is absolutely no network available.

Also since the rooms are so close to each other there is lot of noise from neibouring rooms and people checking in throughout the day especially during weekends and holiday season.

Room rent is moderate as we visited during weekend but it was off season. Rent will shoot up during rainy season which is the peak of visitors arriving to witness jog falls in all it's glory.

The rooms smelled of cigarets with ants running around. Dogs were barking all evening long and no one was going to calm them down. Among good things: warm blanket, hot water (unexpectedly in the evening) and free water at check in and check out.

Locationwise it is the best. Yes you may not get the direct view of the waterfalls but it's just 10 minutes away (by walk) from Falls view point. This hotel is located on a tiny hilltop which gives you awesome view of green fields and vegetation around. The owner is very welcoming and helpful. Loved the home cooked food.

Well maintained rooms. It's a normal budget home stay. But will strong recommend. They have maintained the rooms, very good service, excellent food. They have parking space and good landscape.
Full on value for money. I strongly recommend.

Nice Rooms in budget, beds and pillows were not soft, have a soft pillow other wise there could be neck pain for people with spondilitis.owners were friendly and polite. Food prices with owner are reasonable. Had a nice stay

Well maintained rooms but not hygiene, food (veg) is ok for us everyone happy, around 1500 charged for dinner and morning tiffin for 4 adults and 5 kids (depends on menu), very limited staff but good response. No hot water issues

Best place to stay near Jog falls and it is very near to the falls. We have enjoyed the stay and their homely cooked food was delicious.

Very close to the falls. Room rates are also reasonable (paid 1400 for a large family room, 4 people). Rooms are well maintained. Only problem we had was only one electric point so we had to manage mosquito repellent, phone chargers but it's OK. Can't expect all facilities. Had a good experience here.

It's best place to stay must visit. The guide is soo friendly and food is excellent and room is also good must try

Owner Mr. Rajkumar treated us like family. Very friendly. He offered his place for us to cook food. Great location. Spacious and comfortable rooms.

***this may help you from some cheaters***, I booked from make my trip Sri ranga home stay for 3500 rs for 2 rooms but he dumped us at some dirty lodge (I checked with lodge person the rate of rooms are 800 only). When I called the owner he started playing the games with me and was telling lie that booking was transferred from MMT.then I called MMT customer care and inform this incident and customer care guy called the owner of Sri ranga home stay and this guys was now telling us to concel our booking but it was around 11 pm and we had not other option near by, so we have to spent whole night in dirty room with chochroches (we are traveling with baby so I will suggest don't book this one please).

The property is located in a beautiful location. A small dam near by and through out the night you hear the river flowing down the stream. So silent and charming.
Food is good. Didnt try much as I stayed only for a night.

Nice Staying place for a night or two.
To be honest it was little costly compared services and quality of services it provides.
Room was ordinary Home type room with non working AC and TV. A small bathroom and Toilet with no Hot water facility.
Owner and room boy were helpful but they were talking in Kannada and it was little different for outsiders or tourist.
Food here is amazingly tasty and homely.

Super place and owner is very generous we came 5 people asked for room and he gave us for 1700 only the room is clean and the place is green. It has nice canal flowing near it with a small dam and over bridge very good for taking photos as sunrise just comes parallel to the canal.

Rooms are good but facilities are pathetic. The caretaker boy assure everything like, food, hot water but do nothing. Moreover, he come early Morning to wake up you and destroy your sleep in the guise of use of water. So it's your risk to book this hotel

This is one of the best home stay in this area. Owner Rajkumar is very friendly & takes personal care for guests. Food is unlimited here, taste and quality is also very good. They won't even charge a penny extra whatsoever you order. You get 3 course meal & firecamp facility in private farm backside at nights. Room boy Ball is also very supportive and served us very well until late night. In total I was totally satisfied with the service and rooms were also very clean and well maintained. Place is in midst of forest, next to water channel almost near to jog falls which gives pleasant vibes to stay there. This place is good for family n bachelors as well.check in check out is 12 to 12.i had my doubts initially before visit, when I saw pics in review, but I just wanted to clarify other tourists that this is really a good place with best of facilities.

Pleasant stay. Although the rooms are a little old and small, they're clean. The owners are friendly and provide decent food. They have an amazing backyard where you can completely fall in love with the silence, the birds, the greenery and the cool fresh air! Blissful in the early mornings and evenings. Walkable distance from jog falls.

Beautiful serene place, good ambiance, good food (really enjoyed dinner and break fast, good service rendered. Very helpfull owner.reasonable price.lot of Parking facilities. Place has a unique beauty with nature’s touch in it. Beautifully done villas with fully furnished and good amenities. Totally enjoyed the stay. Blindly recommended.

The stay is mediocre for 1500 per night. But the place makes up for the stay with the food. The food is simply amazing. You can ask for whatever you want and the staff will make it for you. There is no compromise in food. As you spend the whole day outside sightseeing the room is only needed for refreshing and sleeping. You have an option of non veg food of you ask which is amazing too. Overall it is a decent place to stay in if you are in jog for a day or two.

Rooms were good. One thing I'd like to mention is the unlimited homemade food served by owner's family would be really fantastic with a cheap price of only ₹100 per head.

Good scenic view from the Homestay. But little high priced for the facilities and room quality. Food is so delicious.

Playing games, reach late or early and he will send you to some pathetic lodge if he gets better customer who will pay him higher price

I had a pathetic experience here unlike others. I was travelling from Bangalore and was reaching this place at 10pm on Saturday.
I had already informed him on friday that I will reach late night 10.
Once I reached there this person had given my room to some other person at higher rates and didn't have any room to give me. I had booked my room from goibibo.
Rajkumar was blaming goibibo for not sending him message. But the fact is I had already informed you about me reaching late.
Later he had sent me to this another lodge which one was in too pathetic condition. I spoke to that lodge person and he informed me this Rajkumar guy paid him 800 for room.
Sri ranga homestay is playing games.
You book a room online and he will send you to some other place once you reach there. Making more profit.
Goibibo should make sure they don't entertain such irresponsible people like this Ranga Homestay
It was night we adjusted and slept. Look at the room condition in images. We weren't feeling safe. The response of the guy was amazing when we asked why he did so?
"I WILL GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK, GO FIND ANOTHER PLACE". Mr. Rajkumar have some human curtosy at night 11 you ask three people who travelled for 9 hours to search for hotel room, then why did we book your room online.
Guys don't fall for his prices and good looking rooms, although they aren't soo good. He will play games with you like this if you reach late.
Hope at least you don't repeat this with other travellers rajkumar.

I traveled with my family to visit jog falls. I booked room online and informed him one day prior that we will reach late and have booked room.
Rajkumar the owner once we reached there had already given the room to some other unaware customer at higher rates maybe.
He blamed the online vendor goibibo of not sending the message, later he accepted saying his signals strength is week. But buddy we already called and informed you one day prior after booking.
He had sent us to some really bad lodge. Alankar lodge if not wrong since they had no name plate on the lodge.
Rooms were scary trust me scary. That bad.
Sri ranga are doing their own business. Accept booking at low rate send those guys to some other lodge at more low rate.
Take in customer at higher rate.
Goibibo should check in on this guys.
Mint money. Buddy don't cheat customer. You won't do any good to your good business.
