Shringeri Sharadhamba is a must go place once in a lifetime, The Sharadhamba idol just makes us stand in awe and bow with respect.
There is Anna Prasada every afternoon and night.
There are a few things that need attention within the Temple premises, that being cleanliness and Public toilet facilities.

Beautiful temple, loved the ambience and got a great darshan. There are toilets, you get Prasad here as well. So if you want Prasad you can plan a visit time so you can have the food here. There is a river full of big size rohi fish. People feed them rice and bread.

Temple architecture was so good. Inside there is a lord siva temple and beside one goodness temple was there. To visit the shankarcharya asharam, there is timings 10 am - 12.30 pm, evening 8.00 pm - 10.00 pm this time may changes.

Performed Aksharabhyasa for my son here in June end and it’s such a blessing. No need to do advance booking for any pooja. Avoid going in monsoon as drive can be risky. Best to visit after monsoon to enjoy lush greenery.

Holy place of Godess sharadambe. Historic temple of lord Vidyashankar. Cross the rivulet the peaceful shringeri peetha ashram.

Visited during Dataram navaratri, had good multiple Darshans of diety and peetadipati. Was able to take Darshan quicker than Hyderabad Shankaramutt.

What a stunning temple and this place is a must visit if you are in the state. The travel is worth it and thanks alot to them for the delicious lunch. Pls dont miss the free lunch. The dedication on the staffs/swamis are exceptional. I was feeling so blessed after visiting and having the lunch. I really want to thank and appreciate them. They are truely devoted tk god. Just note the Adi sankara peetham and saradamba temple are in the same compound.

It is believed that Adi Shankaracharya chose the site to stay and teach his disciples and impressed with his place, he stayed here for twelve years. The Vidyashankara temple was built in commemoration of the pontiff Vidyashankara, around 1357-58 C. E. It was built by Vidyaranya, patron-saint of Harihara and Bukka, the brothers who founded the Vijayanagara empire. The niches in the temple have a number of sculptures from Hindu mythology.

This is temple. I loved the architecture of the temple it's too good. It's having a good nature, it's one side is surrounded by river. Temple cleanness is good. And daily there are many passengers are visiting this place. In this it's having 2 to 3 separate buildings. There are many many number of fishes in the river. In this river there is hanging bridge near by temple. It's good place to visit

It's one of 18 shaktipeeth and the temple is amazing. U can see the goddess from entrance of the temple only. There are more other temples like of shiva, ganesha, anjaneya, subramanyam swami.
The pond is really wonderful. It have a lot of fishes and they are really smooth. The scenic view from the bridge is so good.
The gigantic elephants at entrance will give ashirvad. Totally inside the temple it was.

It's a pleasure to visit this temple. The feeling which we experience seeing goddess is beyond words. It's one of the oldest and most famous temples of Karnataka. The prasadam served here in the form of meal both afternoon and evening is very good. Temple is well maintained and it feels good to be here.

Clean and pristine. This is what sets apart the temples of Karnataka with others.
Good devotional place with helpful staff like Mr. Balaji Sringeri at the accommodation office helping people from behind the screen as well.
Always good to visit during non-peak seasons to enjoy more, less crowd and less disturbance.
The adjacent temple to the main diety is Thoranna Ganapathi temple which is also very powerful.
The mutts accomodation room where I stayed was also very clean and tidy. Well maintained surroundings since 28 years (the first time I visited in 1993).

Nice temple. People who come to eat Prasadh need to learn to respect the importance of keeping hygiene and cleanliness of the place and just not walk where people sit to eat

By divines grace I am here today. I have been to this place as a child with my parents in 1981. This is one of the four holy muts established by Adhi sankaracharya. Especially udayabharathi matha after becoming Shri sharadambal chose to stay here and bless all of us in South. The first Acharya was also mandanamisrar before he became sureshwarar. River Tunga is flowing around Shri sharadambal temple. Greenery every where and the way to reach is also full of ghats and forest. Very good place for a retired people with decent pension. Ambal is prathyaksham here and worship ping her at this place is not easy we are blessed to have good infrastructure to visit and worship here. Mutt has rooms but they don't give to singles for a stay. There are private rooms also. All devotees willing to take meals at lunch time are provided with lunch free of cost. Food is very good. Don't miss the payasam or gheer.after lunch take rest at room or visit nearby places. Evening 5pm guruji gives Darshan to public. Night Chandramouliswara Pooja is conducted by Acharya. Don't miss it

We just loved everything here. Children specially enjoyed feeding fishes.one thing to note is plan your travel/Darshanam timing so that you can avoid visiting in the hot sun.

The temple campus is very neat & clean. What was most impressive was the white painted pathways they had created all around the place, so that even the people visiting in the middle of the afternoon will not get their feet burned.

శృంగేరి శారదాపీఠము

శ్రీ శంకరులు తమ శిష్యులతో ఒకసారి తుంగానదీ తీరంలో సంచరిస్తుండగా ఒక దృశ్యం వారిని అబ్బురపరచింది. ఎండ వేడిమిని భరించలేక ఒక కప్పు అలమటిస్తుండగా, ఒక పాము పడగ విప్పి కప్పకు ఉపశమనము కలిగిస్తున్న దృశ్యాన్ని చూసిన శంకరులు విస్మయానికి లోనయ్యారు. కప్పు సహజంగా పాముకు ఆహారము. అయితే సహజ వైరాన్ని మరిచి పాము కప్పకు సహాయం చేస్తుండడము పూర్తి స్థల మహాత్మ్యమే అని ఆయన గుర్తించారు.

ఇక తాను స్థాపించదలచిన పీఠాల్లో మొదటి పీఠాన్ని స్థాపించేందుకు ఆ స్థలమే సముచితమని నిర్ణయించి, అక్కడే ఒక శిలపై శ్రీచక్రాన్ని రచించి సరస్వతి మాటను “తల్లీ! శారద అనే పేరుతొ ఈ ప్రదేశంలో స్థిరనివాసాన్ని ఏర్పరుచుకుని భక్త జనులను అనుగ్రహించాలి” అని శంకరులు ప్రార్థించారు. సరస్వతి మాత శంకరుల ప్రార్థన అంగికరించి అనుగ్రహించింది. ఈ విధంగా శ్రీ శారదాదేవి ప్రధాన దేవతగా నాడు శంకరులు నాడు స్థాపించిన పీఠమే శ్రీశారదా పీఠంగా ప్రసిద్ధమైంది. సంప్రదాయాన్ని అనుసరించి ఈ పీఠాన్ని దక్షిణామ్నాయ శృంగేరి శ్రీ శారదా పీఠంగా పిలుస్తారు.

శ్రీ శారదా పీఠానికి ప్రధాన వేదంగా యజుర్వేదాన్ని శంకరులు నిర్ణయించారు. ప్రదత్తమైన శ్రీ చంద్రమౌళిశ్వర స్ఫటిక లింగాన్ని, శ్రీ రత్నగర్భ గణపతి విగ్రహాన్ని, మహామేరు యంత్రాన్ని నిత్యపూజకోసం శంకరులు అనుగ్రహించారు. మహామహిమాన్వితాలైన ఈ విగ్రహాలు పన్నెండు వందల ఏళ్లుగా నేటికి పీఠంలో పూజలు అందుకుంటున్నాయి.
ఈ పీఠాన్ని నెలకొల్పిన తరువాత శృంగేరి క్షేత్ర రక్షణకై నాలుగు దిశల్లో నలుగురు దేవతలను క్షేత్రపాలకులుగా ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. తూర్పున కాలభైరవుడు, పడమర ఆంజనేయుడు, ఉత్తరాన కాళికాంబ, దక్షిణాన వనదుర్గాంబలను శంకరులు ప్రతిష్టించారు.

సాక్షాత్తు చతుర్ముఖుడైన బ్రహ్మ అవతారులైన తమ శిష్యుడు సురేశ్వరాచార్యులను శారదా పీఠం నిర్వహణ కోసం శంకరులు నియమించారు. ఈ పీఠం సుస్థిరంగా వర్ధిల్లుతుందని, భవిష్యత్తులో ఈ పీఠానికి ఆచార్యులుగా వేలుగొందేవారందరూ తమ అంశకలిగి ప్రకాశిస్తారని శంకరులు ఆశీర్వదించారు. ఆ మహనీయుని దివ్య వచనం మేరకు శృంగేరి శ్రీ శారదా పీఠం జగద్గురు పరంపర అపూర్వ విశిష్టతకు నిలయంగా విరాజిల్లుతోంది.

సురేశ్వరాచార్యుల తరువాత జగద్గురువర్యులుగా ఈ పీఠంలో విలసిల్లిన మహానియులందరూ జ్ఞానమునులైన కరునాసముద్రులు, మహా పండితులు. ఆదిశంకరుల దైవాంశ సంభూతులైన ఈ ఆచార్యులను శ్రీ శంకరాచార్యులుగా భక్తులు ఆరాధించడం ఆనవాయితీ.

Situated in a very good and beautiful surroundings and thousands of people come here every day and is very well known tourist place and the speciality is it has a steel pillar standing rock steady outside the temple open to the atmosphere from nearly 1000years but still no junk and stain and rust got accumulated on it. Best for kids tours and family tours.

The Temple Construction is one of the Wonders from the Old Indian Architecture. Very Peaceful and Serene. A Must Visit!
