The temple is very serene and full of energy. Maa Sharada is very compassionate and her energy is really overflowing heals your soul. Shringeri is a very beautiful place to visit and stay for some time to absorb and enjoy the place & the energies of Great Teacher Shree Shakaracharya's energy.
A must visit temple atleast once in your life time. Pretty and peaceful temple. Very clean and tidy. Not much crowd, even though it’s a popular temple. We had an amazing Darshan and felt blessed walking out of this sacred temple.

Aadhi Sarkaar is worshipped here in side back of Saradha Shrine. Beautifully maintained with care and poojas are performed here with regular intervals. Best place to worship Shankarar. Inside the shrine Adhi Shankarar is in a sitting pose in blessing all of us.

Best and famous place in Karnataka due to powerfull goddess Sharadamba. Apart from main temple there are many temples in the premises. Most attractive one is approx 700 year old Vidyashankara Temple. If we cross the bridge from here we will reach matha.
Beautiful temple. One can plan the aksharabhyas for their kids at Sringeri. The items required for aksharabhyas will be provided by the temple against a receipt of Rs. 500/-.
The aksharabhyas will be conducted between 8AM to 1PM.
A place where anyone can feel the positive energy and blessing of the Godess! Best time to visit is Thursday and Friday or any other day in morning. If you are accompanying kids, bring some notebook and pen / pencils and ask them to write an essay inside the temple, describing the temple. Godess will bless them. Feeding the fishes is fun! Take some laiya / bhel outside in 10 Rs (buy pack in paper bag only) and feed the fishes. Prasad is mostly coconut barfi which is toooo sweet! You can get token for prasad in 100 Rs near the devi temple inner gate and collection counter is separate but near by too. Not much rush in weekend evenings!
Beautiful temple and serene surroundings. Ample rooms are available if you come on weekdays. Weekends and holiday will need advance booking. Car parking is available but little far away from temple. Ample food outlets available. Free lunch and dinner provided by temple.
Sharadaamba Temple established by Sri Shankaracharya surrounded by beautiful nature on the bank of river Tunga. Afternoon lunch and dinner served here. Many hotels are available for accomodation. Bus facility available. When you are here check out Kappelingeshwara temple. Also Kigga is nearby
Very old temple, on the bank of tungabatra river, architecture of the temple was marvelous. All infrastructures are provided at Sringeri. Clean and neatly maintained the temple premises.
A very well maintained temple beside Tunga river! They have a designated area for aksharabhyasam. The dining area is clean and serves delicious prasadam.
SRI Aadhi Shankaracharya Swami born I Kalady, incornation of lord Shiva-established Shardha maatha peetam, and has left God Brahma as its first Guru'named him as Sureswaracharya, lengthy history, beautiful climate, Rushi Rushaya srunga and many others stayed in this pious place.
Beautiful place, mesmerizing views. Definitely peace is obtained here. Temple is cleanly maintained. Prasadan was super good. Darshana went well without any hassle. A must visit place for everyone. Anyone would fall in love with the nature here. Thank you.

This Mutt, comprises of many activities. A college run by the mutt, Then there's a Vedic Education School run for free by the Mutt. Temple priests are the ones graduated from the Vedic School.
Beautiful rajagopuram. Serves as entrance to 3 temples. Nicely built structure. Neatly maintained. A family photography in front of this gopuram is always a chearful moment. They should reduce flow of vehicular traffic in this area.
Holy place done in 8th century by Sree Shankaracharya even you cannot imagine about the road ways he was the living legend rounded whole India four times just to save the Sanatana Dharma / Hinduism. Latest legend is Sree Viveka Nanda who has advised Mr Tata to open an Science University in Bangalore. WE are not even a dust of their feet. So what can we write reviews about these legends.

Holy place for Hindus. This is the first peedam established by aadhi shankarar. Here is river has full of fish which is not catch by people for food is the story behind. The temple saradha devi temple. Kanchi madam is separated from here. There is mandapam in next river bang good for meditation.
It's great place to visit and get blessings of Goddesses Annapoorneshari. Lush greenery and beautiful water streams and water falls. Must visit place. Don't forget to get your four Wheeler as bus connectivity is poor.
The calmness and the energy within here is inexplicable. I suggest everyone to make a visit and seek the divine blessings of Jaganmata Sri Sharada and his holiness Jagadguru Sri Bharathi Tirtha Mahaswamiji. Come here for the showers of pure joy and knowledge.
Full of big place dedicated for gods shrine. Place is neat and clean. They offer gods prasadam daily. It is most known in this place. The temple has parking place for devotees. Devotees come so people are seen all time in this place.
As soon as I entered the temple I got peaceful vibes. The fishes in the river can be fed. Puffed rice outside the temple can be bought to feed the fish.
Lovely and peaceful place! The temple is on the banks of Tunga. The accommodation in Sringeri is not great. The mutt/temple authorities must look into this and provide a hygiene place for pilgrims. Swamiji’s divine presence and blessings always adds to divinely flavour.
This temple is itself a replica of Lord Shiva shivalinga. This temple is built within excellent architectural engineering 12 pillars inside the temple representing the Zodiac representation of 12 rashes this Temple complexes containing more than five temples two of them are most famous one is Vidya Shankar temple second one is Sharada Peetam temple. This place is very sacred to to Hinduism because the great Sage Shankaracharya established for spiritual teaching centres in 4 different regions one of them is Sringeri. This Temple situated near to to Tungabhadra river there are also have Abode for the Shankaracharya.

Shringeri, such a wonderful devine place located in forest and on the bank of thunga bhadra river, where shri adi shankara varu have established Sarada peetham for sake of Dharma Samsthapana. This place is connected with many towns in bus route from Mangalore and Shimoga.
* There is no direct train route to shringeri.
** DAILY FOR ALL THE DEVOTEES FREE MEALS ARE PROVIDED IN THE AFTERNOON AND NIGHT.
* Only disappointing thing is that staff are very rude and commercial.
Stinger is a maha devasthanam because it not only the Shankaracharya place but also a Shakti Peeth. This temple is situated on the bank og Tunga River and is well maintained
Place is beautiful, but i had very bad experience while having temples food, the people who serve the food throw hot rassam on my leg and behave badly.and didn't even apologies. Its not only me who has experienced but the the people whom i went with faced similar problem.i request temple authority to consider my request and keep an eye on who serve the food.
This is a pleasant and spiritual place. The Jagadguru's provide us with the knowledge of the Vedas in an easy understandable words for a common man. The peetham has an unbroken parampara or Jagadguru's. The Adi Jagadguru's Shri Sankaracharya has established this and no inated Shri Sureswaracharyalu as it's first Acharya. They also do Gosamrakshna. Teaching of Vedas, nitya annadanam, etc.

కానీ అన్ని పీఠాల్లోకి శృంగేరీ పీఠం ఆచార్యపీఠం. మిగతా పీఠాలలో ఏ సమస్య వచ్చినా శృంగేరి పీఠాధిపతులను సంప్రదిస్తారు. ఆయన ఏ పరిష్కారం సూచిస్తే మిగిలిన వారు అది పాటించాలి. అదీ శృంగేరి పీఠం గొప్పతనం.
Pros: - The ancient temple is awesome to see. The ancient sculptures of the temple can be seen in the pillars and inscriptions carefully. The temple is dedicated to the goddess of the temple.
The Sringeri matha is known as Sringeri Sharada Peetha. It is one of the four Hindu Advaita maths established by Adi Shankaracharya. It is also referred to as Dakshinamnaya Sringeri Sharada peetam. Following the tradition initiated by Adi Shankaracharya, the maţha is in charge of the Yajur Veda (the Krishna (Black) Yajurveda is more prevalent in South India, over which the maţha has authority in the Smarta tradition). The head of the matha is called Jagadguru (teacher to the world) and also carries the Shankaracharya name as a title. The present Sringeri Shankaracharya Shri Bharati Tirtha Swamiji has nominated Jagadguru Vidhushekhara Bharathi Mahaswami as his successor.
The very word 'Sringeri' calms down the mind! We need to be ever grateful to sri sri Adi Shankaracharya for establishing this mutt in 8th Century AD. This is the first of the four aamnaaya peetas that He established in South India at Sringeri. Since then the Peeta has had an unbroken chain of Guru Parampara! Currently the 36th Acharya HH Sri Sri Bharthitheertha Swamiji is heading the mutt and He has designated the next, the 37th Peetaadhipati, HH Sri Sri Vidhushekhara Bharathi Swamiji as His Successor. Sri Sharadamba is the presiding deity here. The temple complex is huge housing a number of other deities and also the Samadhi mantaps of erstwhile Peetaadhipatis. It stands on the banks of river Tunga, equivalent to Ganga in the North. A bridge on it connects the Temple Complex with the Narasimha Vana, the forest abode of the Swamijis. There every night around 8.30pm, Acharya Himself sits and performs the Sri Chandramouleeshwara Pooja. The Guru Nivaas where the Pooja is held, is an architectural marvel! It can seat about 1500 people. On special occasions like Sri Shankara Jayanti, Acharyal's Vardhanti etc the hall will be full and is a sight to see! Near Gurunivaas, the Adhishtaanas, the Samadhi sthal of the previous 3 jagadgurus are there. The mutt has several guest houses where rooms are given on rent on producing your id card. But on special days there won't be any vacancy and you may have to stay in hotels that are in plenty, but costly. There are 4 Kshetrapaala deities that were installed by sri Adi Shankara to protect the place Sringeri. Sri Kaalàbhairava, sri Kere Anjaneya, sri Durga, sri Kaalikaamba. Regular poojas and sevey are held. Sri Vidyashankara temple is another ancient architectural wonder that was built in 14th Century AD during the reign of HH Sri Sri Vidyaranya Swamiji. Sri Adi Shankara installed a Sandalwood Sharadamba and it is kept inside the Vidyashankara temple. The current Golden idol was made during HHSri Vidyaranya's time. Recently a golden gopura was made to Sri Sharadamba temple. Earlier to it a huge tall welcome tower was built at the entrance to the temple complex (Raja Gopuram). New Shanka4acharya temple was also built. Sri Thorana Ganapati temple was renovated. New open Sabhaangana, yaaga Shaale were built. Dining hall is another marvel that serves prasada bhojana to thousands of people every afternoon and night! During Dasara festival, on all ten days countless number are fed. The greatness of Sringeri has to be experienced and can never be fully described in words. The Two most important things that one should not miss are the sri Sharadamba darshana and HHs Gurujis darshana. The other reviewers have given all other details. I have posted a number of photos taken on the occasion of "Shishya-Sweekaara", for many may not have been able to attend this immemorable event that took place in January, 2015.
