Sri Vageeshwari Vidyaranya Temple

This is place where Vidyaranta teerth entered samadhi and this linga appeared at that place. The original sandal deity of vakeshwari (vageshwari: goddess of speech: Saraswati) is also here.
Vidyaranya later made gold deity of sarawasti of same model and installed in new temple at sharada peetham.
Saraswati has 4 Hands with Amrit pot kalash, book for akshar abhyas, japa beads mala and Abhay hasta blessing hands.

Sri Vageshwari Vidyaranya temple is dedicated to Vageshwari Devi, who was one of the worshipping deity of 12th Jagadguru Vidyaranya of the Sharada Peetham

Peaceful temple with good architecture and great vibes. Best time to visit is during the evenings when the temple surroundings are in their elements.
