We had hired this other prominent undertaker service company in Bangalore which goes by another great apostle's name for my father's funeral service. But just when their hearse, in which my father's coffin was supposed to be taken, came, we realised it was in a terrible condition, far from how it looked in their AD. It did not have an AC and was a run down vehicle. How can a hearse carrying a dead body not have a AC? In their ad they had clearly mentioned that the vehicle had AC but when we complained, it fell on deaf ears. No one from the driver to the manager had a clue. They were just passing the buck and giving all sorts of excuses, thinking we will eventually have to take the body in their vehicle only. They were playing on our emotions but their plans "Peter-ed" out, if I may say so.

Determined not to give a disrespectful last ride to our daddy by letting him rot in that hot and broken vehicle, we reached out to Mr. John Martin of St John's undertaker. He was most gracious and efficient to ensure that a top class vehicle in great condition not only reached the mortuary in less than 45 minutes but we were able to reach well on time for mass.
It just shows, just because company has market share in a business, does not make them genuinely superior. We must give chance to others in the market also. Thanks to Mr. Martin and Kudos to his team who ensured smooth last ride for our father.

Martin was very prompt in providing the required details. We used his service end-to-end, right from the mortuary transfer to cemetery. He was also was able to arrange for live streaming and snacks as well. This reduced our overhead to co-ordinate with multiple parties and made things easy especially in such a situation. The vehicles and people provided were good. Overall, we were satisfied with their service.
