Please don't choose this hospital very negligence very huge death rate. Unhygienic and worse, someone who I know was admitted here. And they didn't even give proper treatment. We come to hospitals for the medical facility. But the nurses and the staffs are rude if someone is suffering from pain they don't care. As a patient we understand they are busy, stressed out etc. But we come here for care, at least they can be polite in handling. Worse experience so far and I just hope they take in the reviews seriously and work on changing the atmosphere for patients and give care. As hospital has to be an hospital not an unhygienic or wose place to survive. We are humans too and patients has to be given care rather than just leaving them wondering if they are safe or if this hospital is going to give the right care.

Very good hospital, very good services available at low cost. Many good doctors treat here, doctors are very good. I myself am much better now under the treatment of Dr. Sanjukta Rao.

I never seen such a worst hospital in my life. Big hospital but careless doctors. We lossed our son they have not given proper treatment.they told they will do one surgery and they have not done.after that careless we took dama from that hospital but our baby got sick and they not treated.i hate this hospital.don't choose this hospital.please go-to other hospital.in this hospital they will not give proper treatment.i will never suggest this hospital

I had a disappointing experience at the hospital. The staff seemed indifferent, and the cleanliness was subpar. Communication was lacking, making the overall visit unsatisfactory.

Went to the hospital. It looks commercial. First you have to register.then pay the fees.after an hour of wait time you will get to see the doctor. Also there is restriction that you have to wear mask.nobody in india is wearing mask but you will have to and since its not common that we dont wear mask than you will have to buy from them.total buisness idea.doctor wont be wearing mask but you will have to wear.now doctor will talk to you for not more than a minute and write multiple tests.after doing the test i went to doctor and doctore refered to other doctor when i went to see other doctor i have to pay again for that doctor.what kind of service is this.they are there just to make money.how would i know what disease i have and which doctor i have to see.

St John’s is, indeed, a huge blessing to the general public. It lives its vision of making quality health care accessible and affordable even to the poorest. Though it is a national institute, it serves optimum to one specific southern state. That’s is unfortunate.

While I was working in Bangalore 2020 September time period I was affected with covid 19 and I was admitted to St John's medical college.
I must say there covid treatment was really outstanding.
They provided meals (three times a day and tea with snacks in the evening), proper bed with clean linen (they use to change the linen daily).
Daily minimum 2 times doctor will come and check us.
There will be nurses available 24/7.
They will be in our assistance for everything. Daily they used to provide us medicines, injections, they used to check our pulse, oxygen level, blood pressure.
I was admitted there for almost 6 days.
On sixth day again they conducted antigen test for me, and fortunately I became negative and I was able to leave the hospital on the same date.
And the best and foremost part is the treatment was completely free for me. It was taken care of 'BBMP'.
I really appreciate there service.
After discharging I got all the necessary documents from the hospital including the covid negative certificate. Once I reached back Kerala again I got a call from BBMP asking how am I, how was the treatment and so on. I am pleased and overjoyed by their service.
I am really thankful to each and every people at the hospital including the ambulance driver who helped to reach the hospital.
Huge respect to the hospital staffs and BBMP.

Very good hospital, with expertise Doctors, but parking fee can be reduced a bit and quality of food in Canteen can be improved.

Hospital service is very good and doctor is also good.treatment cost I think low.but it differs.

Covid vaccine is given here. Queue is moving fast. Hard to get parking in morning. Entry from Gate 1.

Late post but would like to thanks cardiologist over there they helped my father to detect the issue of sudden blackouts which was caused by irregular heartbeats, and advised pacemaker.

Before visiting here several other docs were consulted including of NIMHANS to check for any neuro issue, Jayadeva for any cardio issue but none were able to detect. Very professional quality docs and staff.

Worst experience.and Bad treatment. Waiting time is too much to consult specialist as well. Unnecessarily they will suggest for various diagnosis, to avoid the patient. Nurses are too Worst.they behaves like we are their slaves.

Very disappointing. I went for a check up at around 10: 30 as I was having an allergic reactions it was itching and painfull, when I went to the outpatient center they told me to get a fever test, i went there and by the time I was given an ok signal as I didn't have a symptoms for corona it was around 1: 45, so I went to the outpatient center for my allergy check up they told me that there was no doctor available at that time. I was so shocked and disappointed I feel like crying, my whole body was in pain and they told me to come back at 3 o'clock. 1 of the staff after seeing my condition told me to go directly to the dermatologist department as I had already registered. When I reached the dermatologist department two nurse or assistants told me there was no doctor available and they went home and told me to come the next day. So, I went home disappointed with rashes all over my body and search for a clinic nearby my house, they gave me two injections, I did blood test and got the help this hospital failed to provide. This particular hospital don't care for patients. I am still shocked that such a big hospital did not have a doctor on call. I would have given a zero rating if there is one such a disappointing place to go when u are in an emergency.

A good and neat hospital. I went there to check covid beds for my friend. There were no beds available. One negative feedback is that, in front of the covid emergency, the first timers has to fill up the admission form and a common pen is placed used by every individual which can also be a covid patient. Since I had no pen, I used the same pen used by everyone. Atleast there is a ward person who should be sanitizing and handing over the pen whoever are filling up the forms

A hospital with good infrastructure n renowned patient care. They also have a separate Covid care centre. However, the billing is definitely on the higher side compared to other hospitals. It would be great if the Management looks into this n provides medicare affordable to all.

It is professionally managed. Continue your good work. Try to simplify the process. Bring down the cost so the common man is less burdened.

We had worst treatment here from ENT department and ward. The senior most doctor (look wise only not in treatment) in ENT couldn't even diagnose the inflammation and made us get admitted and do various tests. Still unable to diagnose the case, he was asking to spend a day more to discharge. Later blamed the blood test result of being close by to diabetic. Blood was not taken at the proper time by the nurses. Docter couldn't find a small jaw inflammation which could have be seen from mouth if he had checked it. After spending 3 days in hospital, Doctor couldn't write any prescription other than Dolo. We left the hospital with the same that we got admitted with.

My son was admitted on emergency with a facture that needed surgery.
It took 12 painful days without surgery, delay due to infection and inflammation. Though stressful, they learned doctors advised against immediate surgery. In hindsight I have high respects now.
Doctors Orthopedic Professors Ramesh, Raj Gopal, Joe Joseph, Doctors Rueben, Divakar, Akhil, the Anaethesthist, The Nursing staff, sisters Susan, Nibina, Jeethu, Angel, Glorisha, Princy, Prema, Jyothi and others. The helping staff, Gauri, Sushma, Divya and Anna all were good and selfless. Our family owes them a lot.
The charges are reasonable, no unnecessary medicines. Professional medical college protocol approaches.

Some suggestions on the non-medical side.
Big hospital, hence lot of crowd from all walks of life, even from distant places and countries. The cleanliness can be improved.
The exit of a patient can be a single efficient window. More awareness on exit policy and quick turn-over of waiting time. Most times the patient feels hassled to exit.

Worst hospital. All they want is to earn money. I had admitted to my dad in this hospital (June'18), he was suffering from heart attack. Initially they admitted in ITU and they shifted to CCU saying the situation is critical. From the day 1 there was no improvement and the situation was getting worse day by day. They kept dragging for 4 weeks saying we are trying our level best/working hard etc.etc. They didn't allowed us to change the hospital as they were multiple machines connected. Each machine costing about 3k daily basis. After 4 weeks of time I spoke to the chief doctor regarding running low with cash and the very same day my dad had a last breath. We were hoping some sort of transparency from this hospital which was clearly missing in our case. Doctors are kind they know how to convince you. If you are thinking of this hospital think thrice.

Worst Hospital in my life i never seen this irresponsible doctors and staffs. I have brought my 3yrs son for emergency.he was there in mini ICU for 24hrs the worst and dirty place almost 15 to 20 kids in same room with a single dirty toilet. Just like a market they call it as a mini icu and charge 1200 per day only for room. Then shifted to private room whuch was equal to a general ward. The charge is 1600 per day only room extra for doctors and nurses. But no proper communication between the doctors and nurses each will tell a different thing. No duty doctors in the night that to in kids ward. What ever we ask they cover and lies.they have not trained they how treat patients properly but nicely trained how to manipulate and cover. All lies.
I request people please dont choose this worst hospital especially for kids.

Good Doctors but very bad staff. Someone should look into this and take strict action on how the staff behaves with the patients. They are so ill mannered and rude. Third class cultured, low maintained management. I would also like to highlight counter no 37 where people go to get the lab reports sits a man who is ill mannered and has no respect for anyone. Such staffs spoil the name of the entire community and hospital. Someone should teach him how he needs to address people. I will surely complain about this where some action can be taken against such worthless wastes of society.

Good for taking the consultation. Don’t ever undergo a surgery here. I underwent a surgery here on 22nd Nov 2018. After taking me to a Operation theatre, some senior doctor took the anaesthetic classes by using myself as a testing body. I never knew it like this before. Most of the nursing staffs and doctors are still studying. Means they are the students who are studying there. Some of the nursing staffs don’t know how to measure the BP. I don’t recommend here for an admission in this hospital.

Their was a time when st John's hospital had a very good name for their service provided.
But times passes they say that the kings horses became a donkey, similarly the service of this organisation as gone down worst then the government hospital.
On the 18th of October 2018. I bought my mother to the emergency division and was waiting to consult doctor for more den an 90 minutes and their was only one nurse but no body else was available.
The doctor popped up only after I personally went inside the emergency ward and spoke to them about the problem.
I would like to thank Dr Rahul doctor on duty that time help us with the treatment and the admission process.
Later in spite of being admitted to the semi pvt ward at around 3.20am when I went to meet the sister on duty to ask dem to reconnect the NS solution which was disconnected as she was shifted from ground floor to ward she was so rude and told me that we know what to do and and came to connect it only around 4am. Then on the 20th morning when the doctor advised for the discharge from the hospital here comes the actual real drama saying that the insurance claim can't be done today (20/10/2018, Saturday) and should wait till Monday for the same.
And when I told the staff that i will get the approval done from my side she took all the way morning 9.30 to 1.45pm just fill the doctors part.

Does it really take so long to for a signature and fill two columns.

From decades our family was visiting st John's hospital for any kind of medical assistance right from the year 1994, when my grandad was hospitalised for the first time till now when my mom hospitalised two days ago.
And all does day we would even refer most of the ppl in our friends circle to st John's hospital. And I make sure that henceforth I will never do that and probably this would be my last visit to this hospital and will never again refer again.
I personally feel that this hospital is being completely money minded and not service minded.

Am writing this just to put a word across to the public and more then that to the top management of this organisation.

I sincerely request the management to do two things 1. Please remove saint in the hospital name and remove "in the Spirit of Christ" in web site. You are not at all eligible for this after started looting / not understanding people's problems. It is now famous for high attitude security, big lights and bills. My personal experience is worst but that's ok, it is my fate but when i went today i saw one old lady was asking for some money to people just in front of reception, she didn't had money for having a single meal but has to buy medicine from pharmacy.seems her son diagnosed with Cancer. These doctors wrote for something for blood without knowing they will be able to afford or not. 1. Doctors don't know any minor financial background about that patient. 2. Reception people don't want to interfere.

Disgusting place. Just visit your local clinic. This management of this hospital charges 530 which is much more than what a doctor is local clinic do. It is supposed to be a Government hospital. Lot of poor people come here for treatment and they just rob them.
It took 20 minutes to register and a total of 1 hour by the time you consult the doctor. And it was not even peak hour. It was empty.
The medicals in the hospital is hopeless. They took 25 mins to give medicine to 5 people and worse they did not even have a common drug.

Just profiting from people's suffering and there is nothing people can do about it.

We had a worst response from doctors and ward sisters.and especially the gynecology department is looting the money from the people.we had a very bad experience in the last month.unnecessary the suggest to people for admit before 5 days 10 days 15 days.compare to this hospital, govt hospital is much better than this. Good response.they are talk with very rood mindset with the persons in ward.the labour room sister and doctors response and responding with the patient attender very very worst.kindly take this issue management they need to take necessary action and please tell them you staff speak friendly and good response with the persons.and you people also good name in the society.and people love to come again and again.thank you.

Worst hospital I have ever visited. No body cares for the patient, no respect and no proper response for the patients. Doctors doesn’t have enough time to speak to patients, in one room 3 doctors sitting and consulting, so it is very difficult to explain the problems, also doctor will hear only few words we speak due to the other people noise. No proper guidance, nobody is helpful. Worst experience. Heavily crowded, they don’t know to manage the crowd.

Qualified doctors and good staff. The treatment here is very reasonable. Hence expect huge crowd and long waiting. Prior appointment should be taken to visit the Doctor. They won't suck your money like other private hospitals.

Kindly inform for pregnant women that st. John hospital won't do family planning operation for any body, so that they can go to other hospitals. My advice kindly keep on notice board that St. Johns hospital won't do family planning. It high risk doing A Sesserien for delivery and again open one more time stomach for doing family planning operation in some other hospital. It is also risky for women in future and money and time and pain also.

Now days St. John hospital become commercial like other hospitals. Good thing is that recent days they lot vehicle parking charged. Previously they we're looting money so much almost no where in india. Food is very costly in St. John hospital and no quality and no neatness.

Idiots doctors and staff.behaving very badly and sake of money they will treat the patients.

Finally understood that only money matters lot in this type of hospitals no humanity works.

This hospital is not like any other, it's primary focus is to help poor people get quality medical services from highly qualified doctors/professors. This goal has it's pros and cons. Medical service is cheap, so there is always going to be a lot of people. You can always expect this place to be crowded. On the other hand, because of the service oriented mentality, doctors usually don't ask you do some unnecessary tests or consultation. They will be out right straight with you. This is your disease, this is the available treatment, no monkey business.

I have very very good experience with this hospital. My husband had soriatic arthesis and was unable to walk. Before coming to this hospital we went to four other hospitals where doctors were not able to figure it out or diagonsed it as a different disease. On the first visit to St John's Hospital, doctors found this is soriatic arthesis within 10 minutes. I was walking the second day. It costed me 350 rupees. Other hospitals charged me more than 1 lakh and didn't even diagonse the right disease.

Another time, I suspected my husband might have ulcer but went to st John's hospital they took a endoscopy and diagnosed that he didn't have ulcer.

As a software engineer my husband developed keratoconus in his eyes, doctors at John's diagnosed it correctly and promptly told they don't have the facilities for the treatment and recommended us to a eye specialist.

Of course this place is crowded, you might spend your entire day waiting but quality medical service out weights everything.

I wouldn't recommend this hospital for a surgery, due to the lack of coordination of the staff. For initial diagnosis and normal treatments, it is one of the best hospital.

Pro tip: At first it might be intimidating/chaotic seeing the crowd, but ask the workers for any help they will be able to help you dispite the crowd.

This hospital has several efficient doctors, because patients from different parts of nation are there for the advanced medical treatment facilities.
So this hospital provides great support to the society.

Horrible service by the security and the so called elevator man- do not go to this hospital if you are used to basic things like treating others with respect, courtesy and decency because you won’t find all this here, even after paying lakhs and lakhs you still won’t get it.

No 1 waste hospital in Bangalore.don't prefer st John's hospital. Doctors don't have a responsibility.they will come at 10 they will roam inside the hospital instead of seeing patients.especially don't consult with the doctors related to ENT.

My Aunty is Admitted in the Hospital on 11/Sep /2018 / Ortho Department. We wanted to consult with Dr. Thomas Isaac in Ortho Department, but due to he was not available on Tuesday - We consulted with Dr. Raja Gopal and he asked us to admit in the ward. She was addmited and Dr. Raja Gopal and team keep doing the Trial and Error since then, There is no improvements or no proper treatment till now. Infacct The Head Dr. Raja Gopal has no time to Visit the Patient, When we asked about the patient status he is saying that Instructions are given to the juniors and they shall do the trials. We hope that by these kind of Doctors it spoils the Christianity Name and Christianity hospitals name too. We Suggest that when Mr. Raja Gopal has no time to visit the Patient / has no interest in giving proper treatment its better Shift the patient to Dr. Thomas Isaac or as per the Patients wish. We request the hospital heads to Change the Patient under Dr. Thomas Isacc, He is Sincere in his Duties or Discharge the Patient we do not want to continue the treatment in St. Johns Hospital Since we do not want to give the trial to Mr. Raja Gopal and Team. Requesting the management to take care of such Doctors to Maintain the Good Name of Our Christianity and St. Johns Hospital Name. Requesting you to contact me if there is any clarification.

There is no proper response from Mr. Raja Gopal Juniors or From Mr. Raja Gopal also When we asked about the patient details on 14.09.2018. The same copy is attached to the Arch Bishop - Arch Diocese of Bangalore. If possible do let us know the Head Father / Head Person contact Number or Mail ID of St. Johns Hospital.

Being Christian its my own interest of saving the Name of St. Johns Hospital. We know that St. Johns is serving better to the POOR People among the Hospitals in Bangalore.

If there is any Explanation about the Treatment from Mr. Raja Gopal, Please cross Verify from the Patient.
