Rohan has helped improve my general level of fitness with exercises for mobility, flexibility & balance. Weekly training sessions gives me a chance to re-focus on my goals.
He tailors workout to the individual & his techniques have significantly benefitted my health.

I had a slipdisc last year, so I consulted three orthopedic doctors, one doctor said Surgery and the other two doctors said bed rest for few weeks. Luckily, I opted for the second one instead of surgery. I was on bed for almost 3 to 4 weeks, post which I started walking slowly, but with lot of restrictions, like I was not suppose to stand for too long, no bending, should not sit down and not to lift any weights. I was very much worried because I was not able to lift my 1 and half year old son. I got to know about stairs Physiotherapy and Somya Sir through Instagram, I messaged him and sent my MRI reports also. Glad that I got a immediate response from Somya Sir, and the first thing he said was good I did not go for surgery and there is nothing to worry about, it is treatable. I got some hope then.

Later, after few weeks I took appointment and met Somya sir, after the initial assessment he suggested a rehab for 6 to 8 weeks and assigned Bhavika as my Trainer.i felt very positive after i met him personally. Bhavika, being a Physio and Trainer, she is an excellent coach, very patient, knowledgeable, dedicated and extremely understanding. Initially I was so scared to do anything, she made me so comfortable and she use to explain me and so patiently cleared all my doubts. I could see lot of changes within few classes. Later I started enjoying my sessions.

Now its been almost 6 months that I started my journey with stairs, today I could say I am more stronger both physically and mentally. It's been an amazing journey so far. I look forward to many more sessions.

I am more grateful and blessed to have been in the right place and under the guidance of Somya sir, Bhavika and the entire team of Stairs. My sincere thanks and gratitude to my coach Bhavika, for the continuous support and assistance. Thanks a lot. I would highly recommend this place.

I reached out to Stairs because of a knee issue that did not allow me to walk 2 steps without pain. 3 months down - today Dr. John from Stairs has helped me strengthen my back, hips, legs- so strongly that I did a 14 kms walk and jogged for the first time- after 8 months. No pain.
I was recommended surgery and I am glad I didn’t go down that path. I have to thank Dr. John for his capability of gently pushing me beyond my comfort zone and helping my recovery while also boosting my confidence. Stairs approach is science based and focused on physiological recovery through patience and perseverance. I will totally recommend Stairs for both injury rehab and fitness. All the best

I always have a satisfying and good experience at Stairs, Ulsoor. I came here by strong favourable reccomendation from my fitness coach.
I had consultations by both Saloni and Nivya, and they were excellent in guiding me through rehabilitation and assessments, both their myofascial deep tissues have been very good. I came to the centre with a shoulder, back and knee issue and all of them have been resolved with sharp guidance.
I highly reccomend Stairs, for physiotherapy, myofascia release and general physical assessments. You will not be dissapointed.

Appreciation post for physiotherapist & coach John Lysanias of Stairs Physiotherapy, Ulsoor:

Roughly a year ago, I played the most regrettable cricket match of my life. I still have nightmares and trauma about the decision I had taken that day to enter the cricket turf without proper warm-ups and stretches. Yes, it resulted in a completely torn ACL and a semi-torn Meniscus. I was devastated and could not accept an almost irreparable damage to my dominant leg, especially when I was just one month into my fatherhood.

Naturally, I had to undergo a surgery and was bed-ridden for more than a month, post which I started walking with baby steps. I lost all my motivation and started stress eating only to gain weight at the rate of 1.5kg per month. I did not take the need for physiotherapy seriously as I was showing signs of fast recovery and realised that this was only the tip of the iceberg. In fact, I did not get into physio for almost 6 months post my surgery. Then my wife, brother-in-law and parents put some sense in me to take this recovery seriously and referred me to Stairs Physio post recommendation by friends in the fitness industry.

I reluctantly entered the building and met John Lysanias, the physiotherapist. That one, I believe is the ‘redemption’ decision for me to live in peace with the cricket match decision.

John is an expert in his field. He is not a typical friendly neighbourhood trainer who keeps motivating you all the time. He is very straight-forward and to the point. His expertise came out in the way he diagnosed the issues in my leg and my overall fitness. John did not make any false promises to me in terms of my recovery. In fact, he told me openly that I was late to physio post my surgery and hence there was a need for a different approach starting from basics.

He was meticulous, methodical and gave me focused exercises personalized for me. His approach was to get back the strength first (at least to my pre-surgery levels) and then concentrate on essential activities like running, jumping and overall fitness. He was extremely logical in his approach and explanation. Man, I was impressed and started to get my motivation back.

John was highly committed and helped me commit to the goals that were set between us. I mostly took the morning 6am sessions (online and offline as per convenience) with John to begin my day with a sense of accomplishment and motivation. (I should mention the amazing songs John plays during our sessions!) We worked on each muscle in my leg in a focused way with specific exercises to strengthen them.

John is a coach who motivates you from ‘inside-out’. He pushes your boundaries and limits and ensures it is not ephemeral. At the same time, he is very empathetic and truthful. For instance, when I had back-to-back viral fevers, he even told me that a 10-day break would in fact, aid in my muscle recovery. After collaborating with John, my legs have become super powerful, and I must say there is a positive shift in my overall fitness as well. I can clock 3.5 km in 30 minutes in a treadmill now and do two-reps of 20kg sumo squats. I am on the road to recovery and probably there is still a long way to go.

Heartfelt thanks to John for being the catalyst in this recovery journey and to Stairs physio for facilitating the same! 100% recommended.

I had a complicated back surgery (L4 L5 Microdiscectomy) early this year and I was out of shape. I needed a physical therapist and Stairs Physiotherapy was just the place. They were knowledgeable, professional, respectful and always very attentive to my needs. Their approach always felt tailored to me because they would take into account my limitations in order to get me back on track with my workout routine so I could get back in shape as soon as possible.

I was barely able to walk or take stairs when I started my journey with Stairs Physiotherapy and had multiple changes in my lifestyle. Driver used to drive me to sessions but now I drive. In this journey the motivation and the guidance's given by Mr. John the Physiotherapist at stairs Ulsoor who guided me from the day one to reach this stage. This is my 7th month- I traveled 14 hours flight, a trek to waterfalls and driving car like before.thanks to John for helping me recover in every stage and I hope to continue this journey to convert my unhealthy lifestyle to the healthy one.

I went for a consultation to the Ulsoor branch, for a disc prolapse issue and John (physio), was very kind and patient to listen and assess the problem. He released the stiffness around my neck and helped me with specific exercises to strengthen and just with 2 sessions I am feeling 80% better.

I have been going to stairs for some time now and extremely happy with the support and rehab received. My physio and trainer is Nivya and she has been extremely understanding, patient and helpful to help me recover from my condition. She is knowledgeable and explains the process well. I joined Stairs about three months back with certain Nagging issues. Saumya after his initial assessment assigned Ajith with me and ever since we have been diligently making gradual but steady progress. Today I feel lot stronger and agile thanks to the sincere and dedicated efforts of Ajith! I strongly recommend Stairs to everyone for rehab or basic strengthening. My compliments and gratitude!

It’s been 1 year I started my fitness in stairs.facilities are really good here. My coach Mr Ajith is really very friendly and great coach. He has helped me to improve my stability, strength and many aspects regarding my profession. It’s really being very helpful for my cricket. Staffs here are very friendly and helpful

The staff at Stairs Physiotherapy & Fitness are knowledgeable and compassionate. I work mainly with Mr Ajith who has helped me with my strength building and conditioning immensely. Being a runner, since I've started training with him I have noticed a huge difference in my pace, strength, balance and agility. Gradually and slowly I’m becoming stronger with his sessions. I appreciate their hands on approach and professionalism. Keep up the good work and positive attitude!

At the moment I can’t think of a better place to workout. A fantastic physiotherapy & fitness that helps one get stronger, respect your body better and help you achieve your goal. A space to workout, get fitter and stronger. The commitment and dedication that the trainers show only give you determination, faith and belief to get and do better.
