Did not like overall shopping experience like you have to stand in queue in vegetables section, grocery section. The amount of wastage for packing wrap more compared to actual goods. Billing is slower compared to other super market need some improvement in overall shopping experience
Very very bad experience at Star, billing takes a lot of time, staff is cruel to customers and customers have to constantly complain to get work done, higher management is least bothered about customer complaints.worst experience.on 13.10.2023 in Star Market situated on Manipal County Road, Begur, Bengaluru.
Very pathetic.the queue to get the vegetables weighed is horrible … nobody bothers to add addition staffs during rush hours … I finallly had to leave all the vegetables and fruits I took
All good except billing wait time. Billing is always a longer process here due to limited staff and sometimes no common sense or diligence applied. This is one thing that they have not worked on for at least 4 years. I have directly given feedback to service manager, but it seems to be same.
Over time, Star has become our goto place for groceries, vegetables and seafood.they've vastly improved their billing systems, are customer centric and product prices are quite competitive.
Quite affordable and one could find a wide variety of grocery items, fruits and vegetables, household items, home decors etc at a discounted price. I would definitely recommend STAR Market over DMART as I feel the prices are cheaper than Dmart and there isn't much rush. The parking they provide is quite spacious plus it's a free parking too.
Good place to shop for groceries and vegetables, fruits etc. It's cheaper than outside market and the quality is also better. You can save some money and also get good quality stuff. Avoid going here on weekend mornings and evenings since you will have to spend a lot of time for the weighing the loose items and again long queues on the billing counters. I prefer going here on the weekdays to avoid long queues.
Star market is really good and the prices of most items are reasonable compared to street vendors. I've seen street grocery vendors buy their inventory here for couple of veggies. I wish they had plenty of options for veggies and pulses etc. The only downside is there is plenty of queue for veggie barcoding and checkout counters. Either not all counters have a representative or some they are not trained or the system is really slow at times. I've been to this shop both in weekdays and weekends and different times of the day. Never seen it empty (which is a good thing for the business) Parking is good and plenty. Overall worth the waiting time Hope they fix their operations to scale the business

While I appreciate the convenience your mart offers, there are two specific areas where I consistently encounter significant wait times: labeling and billing.
The process of labeling items before purchase often takes longer than expected, contributing to extended waiting periods for customers. However, the more frustrating experience is at the billing counters. Despite the presence of several counters, it's a common occurrence to find only one or two operational, leading to longer queues and delays.
What adds to the frustration is the explanation provided for the lack of active counters: staff members being on break. This recurring issue not only inconveniences customers but also reflects on the management's approach to staffing and operational efficiency.
I genuinely hope that the management acknowledges the impact of these extended wait times on customer satisfaction and takes proactive measures to address them. Ensuring that there are sufficient staff members available to manage the labeling and billing processes during peak hours could greatly improve the shopping experience for all patrons.
Star Market in the neighborhood, its very convenient and we get most of our grocery from the store for the last few years.
But the trolley ramp is very slippery and inconvenient to use, have informed Store staff about it, hope its fixed before the rainy season. I still wonder, how can professionally run stores could get away with such hazardous safety measure.
It's really all over the place. Poor maintenance. Billing counter takes forever to reach as it is slow. The products needs to be placed and Grouped well.
It have food options and rates available, but considering the placement, it is not very ordered. Also while it comes to the places near the fish stall, it has the smell all over, that could have been avoided.
Recommend to stack all items properly than just laying on the floor
