Sunset Cafe

This place is a must-visit if you are in Gokarna. We had lunch and dinner here and it was awesome. The restaurant is on the beach and you can enjoy the beautiful scenery and the cool breeze. The music was relaxing and soothing. The staff were friendly and helpful. We tried the peri peri prawns, chicken tawa masala, King fish tawa fry and they were all delicious. We had a great time here and we highly recommend it.

"I visited last Sunday and had a disappointing experience with Kuldeep. He failed to provide us with plates and spoons, and, moreover, he doesn't know how to talk to customers. His communication skills were lacking.

Continental Breakfast, Chicken Tikka, Chowmein/ Noodles are recommended. The taste was good. Portion size for the Continental Breakfast was fulfilling. Pineapple juice was also good. The view from the restaurant, the ambience and the music is also good.

One of the best, peaceful stays ever. Surrounded by beach being one of the most beautiful stays in Gokarna. I visited with my cousins (all girls) and absolutely felt safe. The hosts are the friendliest you can find, and they let you have fun and join you guys. They have games, swing, the best view. We had a good view of some beautiful fishes and also dolphins around. It was my Bachelorette, we wanted to dance and they played music of our choice and let us dance. It's a good place to relax. Will always visit this cafe whenever I go to Gokarna. Won't miss at all!

One of the best restaurants in Gokarna! All the dishes we ordered was simply amazing. The chef really knows his food.

Absolutely loved it. Food and view is great.
Must try Ice Tea, Puri Bhaji.
Tawa Pomfret was also great. (Bit expensive as per size of fish)

August 2nd week visit-
Pro’s - great ambiance set right on Gokarna main beach, friendly customer service, quick order ready, varied dishes, great taste leading to Mumbai style taste as per owner and they are also planning to add new chefs for continental dishes very soon. Very accommodating to change dishes as per individual taste if needed.

Con’s- map route leading to the restaurant is incorrect. But it’s located just 3-5min walk from RK cottages. And 2mins from ds cafe. Tandoor dishes, pizza and burgers are currently unavailable due to Monsoon rainy weather where guests don’t prefer much of these items.

Overall a great restaurant which anyone can try if they are planning to eat on main beach with good ambiance setup when compared to all other restaurants on this line of Gokarna main beach.

PS- hotel is under renovation. Will be functional from Mid September. We visited the restaurant.

Just sit there whole day, food and beer, watch the sunset, and sit through the night. If that's the kind of chill you want, this is the best place!

It was a great ambience at night with the lights and sound of ocean. The host was amazing, she is a person with great vision on how to protect nature. They have used waste materials from sea to decorate the whole place which is an appreciative effort. She have lot of puppies in and around her cafe.

Food was average, if they can take into next level this, then this will be one of the great cafe in Gokarna

In search of good food in gokarna we found this beautiful cafe. The food is amazing, very affordable, and the staff is wonderful.
The beach view adds up more beauty to it.
Totally amazing experience.

Note - you have to walk a little inside from the beach to reach the cafe.

Good music, quick service, great view and amazing seating arrangement. Food was also good but do try their cold coffee, it's the best.

The best stay and food at gokarna️ above all the hosts were super friendly and amazingg overall would recommend everybody to visit and stay there.

I stayed here for a few days. Great service, Amazing food and Wonderful view. I would highly recommend this place whenever you are visiting Gokarna. The folks taking care of the cafe are very welcoming and friendly. This cafe needs to be added to that list of must visit places in Gokarna.
Don't forget to try their Tawa Prawns Fry.:)

Eagerly waiting for the re-opening of this cafe for the season.

This year somewhere around February end I rode to this place from Mumbai, It was my first solo ride (trip), I was running with the plan that I will stay at Sunset Cafe for 2 to 3 nights and ride to Goa.

But something happened I stayed here for 8 to 9 nights, and skipped Goa. It was no longer the solo trip they hosted me like a family.
I called my wife and she joined me afterwards.

I had a great time in Sunset Cafe It was a rather awesome time. The food is amazing. The ambiance is awesome, the hosts are super awesome.

The best cafe in Gokarna. Food is delicious, great ambience, you have the beach right in front of you and above all the atmosphere that the owner and the staff here creates is the best. I had spent half of my time in gokarna in this cafe.

Cafe is located by the beach, has a great view and ambience. The food is very delicious and priced reasonably. Most importantly, the hosts are extremely cooperative. Totally recommend this place for all kindof celebrations

Visited on Sep 10-11, '22. We were a group of 8. A huge chunk of the menu wasn't in service as the place had recently re-opened, but the food was delicious. The staff was friendly, polite and accomodating. 10/10 will visit again when in Gokarna.

The food was pretty good and beach view was amazing. Pretty good variety as well. Must try mint mojito.

Not at all consciousous of needs of the crowd present in the place. Pathetic experience. Need a drastic change in management. Hope the gets it done.

I found out about this place on Instagram & went here with very less expectations. This place is off Gokarna, at a place called Middle Beach. This beach is not very commercial, has fewer shacks & is less crowded. If you are looking for a calm place to relax, have a superb view of the sea & sunset, & enjoy some delicious food, this is the place to go.

This cafe also has a few cottages & a dorm too. I stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms were basic, but were clean & tidy.

Coming to food, I pretty much tried everything on the vegetarian menu. Food here is made to order & is served fresh. My favourite here was Hongkong Veg, a spicy Chinese appetiser. Burgers, pizzas & sizzlers were equally good. They have some combos, that are a steal deal.

The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful. They ensured that our stay was good.

Located at the middle of the main beach. Simple cottages that are budget friendly, nothing fancy. Guys who run the place are very friendly, cordial and superb hosts. Food is tasty too. The chicken tawa fry, tripple fried rice, egg curry with lacha parathas and pancakes are a must try here. Would definitely stay here again and recommend this place.

Amazing place that has probably the best people that you can ever meet. The owners of the place are amazing and the food is just the best too. You should 100% visit this place if you really want to try good food.

It was an amazing experience. Wish I had known this place earlier, would have spent a lot more time in my visit to Gokarna. You can catch breathtaking sunset views and have a chill time by the beach!

This cafe just in front of beach. You can see nice sunset from here. Food and vibes are also very nice. Owners of cafe are very friendly and nice. They will help like family if you asked for any help.

This was our first time in gokarna. The people in cafe were like our tour guide. Very friendly and helping. A cheerful environment all over. And food is awesome too. We tried, king fish, prawns Biryani, verious Sandwiches, burgers, pasta. Etc. Everything was delicious. Like you can order the same food twice nice! You can also play indoor games like jenga, uno, cards.etc. They made our stay here very memorable.

Best place to chill in the evening and have some light food. The boys is here are Marathi which makes it better for me. Either way they are very hospitable!

We visited this cafe twice during our stay in gokarna. Each time the experience has been amazing:) Night ambience makes you fall in love with the place especially when you sit outside facing the beach with a candle light kind of a dinner! Make sure to ask your host for the best food recommendations. We tried Vegetarian HongKong (a starter) and veg pizza. Food was upto the mark in quality and taste:)

Good food, amazing view and lovely friendly people managing this place. It's right on the Main beach (middle beach) with perfect view of the sunset. The food is good as well especially Indian. We came back time and time again to this cafe for the vibe and the folks. I would definitely return on my next trip to Gokarna.

Situated in one of the most beautiful beaches of the Gokarna, sunset cafe gave us an absolutely wonderful and pleasant stay. The host is very friendly and always ready to help. One of the best cafe to spend your evening in gokarna. The hosts are very welcoming. Ambience is very cool. You can also work from cafe. They also have stay options available.

Every dish we tried tasted great. This cafe has amazing vibe to it. All thanks to the staff especially the owner Sanket who personally interacted with every one of the guest to the extent of getting to know about them personally. Stayed at gokarna for 3 days and we did not feel the need to explore other options.
