Very bad ambience with pathetic service. The food is over priced and the quantity is also very low for a Rs650 mutton thali. No restrooms as well. The tables and benches are wood ain’t comforting.
My honest suggestion is that if you are able to shell out more than Rs1000 for 2, I believe you can skip this place. The food is very okayish.
Cost is too much compared to the quality & quantity of the food supplied. After hearing too much hype from my one of the Marathi friend visited here. But Not satisfied with the taste.
Please do not visit this place. It is extremely pathetic. Misal Pav bhaji which I had was horrible, and taking 179rs for this kind of a snack! Extremely pathetic, taking 45rs for an extra pav is such a scam. The pav was not even heated just brought from the stock the curry was such a waste of taste & time. Please do not waste others taste and money.
Visited this place in the evening for snacks. Tried Vada Pav it was the best. Vada is prepared fresh once the order is placed so it is fresh and piping hot.
Went here on Sunday afternoon, had to wait for 25 mins to get a table. They took 10 minutes to get the order and we had to repeat the order 3 times until they noted it. Place is very small with very congested sitting arrangement. Wash basin is behind a table where you have to disturb another customer every time to access the wash basin. We had to wait for 1 hour approx to get our order. We tried pavbhaji, vadapav, fried mutton thali and shrikhand which costs total 777. I found it way too costly compared to what service they are offering and kind of ambiance they have. You can look straight into kitchen and if someone is sitting on table beside kitchen, you'll feel all the heat from kitchen. Coming to food, both veg options were below average. Vadapav: 1/5 Pavbhaji: 2/5 Mutton thali: 3/5 They will need to work on service, detail to attention, taste, ambiance to retain customer if they are going to charge as equivalent as any other well maintained restaurant.
I visited Suryavanshi Indiranagar restaurant recently and unfortunately, my experience was bad. The ambiance was notably disappointing, with an unwelcoming atmosphere. The staff's behavior was quite uncultured, which only added to the negative impression. The quality of the food fell well below expectations, considering the steep prices. Additionally, the limited space available for guests made it feel cramped and uncomfortable. Taking all these factors into account, I would strongly advise against visiting this establishment.
Ordered Misal Pav and Vada Pav. Misal was sweet as sugar. And Vadapav had no taste. Sadly had to throw it away all. Sheer Waste of money. @Suryawanshi, u guys need to improve ur food quality.

Absolutely unhygienic, no one wears gloves, one of the guys needed rest as he was sick & just back from an operation, no sense of customer service, long wait for orders to materilize and the place now looks a mini warehouse, the food is good if one can tolerate the dirty place. Earlier the owners used to take personal interest but not so now, unfortunately there is no other option for similar cuisine in Indiranagar & around. Ordering from Swiggy is the only other option as even Zomato does not despite being listed, reason being no delivery person around
Maharashtrian food is so vibrant colourful and spicy must try mutton keema pav and rawa Prawn fry and of course how Maharashtrian food is completely without vada pav️
Maharashtrian food as good as Mumbai. I've ordered missal and vada pav at home and also been to the restaurant as the food tasted good. It's a small place in Indiranagar. While at the restaurant I also tried sabudana vada and omlette and overall the food is good and close to authentic. They also have Maharashtrian thali but haven't tried that. If you're craving solkadi, it's the place to visit:)
Last night's dinner was a total disaster. Suryawanshi in Indiranagar has lost my respect for thier food. Thier pooranpoli used be one of the best, turned out, it was sour when ate it. Extremely disappointed. Other dishes like Vadapav was also very ordinary. Lost a customer
Extremely great place for Maharashtrian food. I loved every dish we ordered here. Some of my favourite orders are Chicken Sukka, Sabudana Vada, Kolhapuri Fried Chicken and Mutton Handi with phulkas/chapathis. I really appreciate the entire staff at Suryawanshi restaurant for the quick service, quality and taste of the food they serve. Kudos to the entire team! Highly recommend this place if you're craving for Malvani and Maharashtrian cuisine!
Nice place for a quick bite of Vada Pav in the evenings or to have a complete meal in the noon and at nights.
A small, simple and nice place.
Have not tasted the food here, but I am sure it should be good. Located opposite to Indiranagar ESI hospital and easy to locate.
Available for service and take away. Steps to be taken as no wheel chair assistance ramp available. Could not see a rest room so not sure about the same. Parking available at the crossroads near the restaurant.
Courteous staff, clean place, with limited seating but sufficient seating and a nice view to just chill and enjoy watching life at the crossroads
Give it a try and help establishments bloom again.
Surprised to see that despite low business staff is not servicing customers properly. Ordered thali.did not get rice until I realized it was part of the meal and till then had finished my sweet.staff didn't check.they also charged water but did not give. Quality of food is also not out of the world. Need to improvement
The place gives an impression that it's a big restaurant but the seating is for max 15 people if I am right. Mostly people order food for take away.
Now comment to the food it was delicious. Their Vada Pav was super tasty. I have never had such tasty Vada Pav. When u take a thali ask for Jowar Roti. The place is worth at least a few visits.
We had the best pomfret fry, crab curry and mutton thali. The only problem was that the place was small which can accommodate only 12-15 people maximum. But they served authentic Marathi food. The food was worth the amount. Very satisfied with the staff as well.
Good place food was also good except the bhakari they served, bhakari was the biggest disappointment. Othet then that everything else was fine. They should introduce indrayani rice as well to menu and some unlimited thali options.
The staff wasn't very friendly and although it was called a restaurant, the place was very simple; Like some outdoor Mess and was bit over pricey. The food was ok however it felt very disgusting when I saw a huge mouse wandering around the place beneath everyone's feet. Would never go back to that place again
It's a small place but nice to be here to get authentic Marathi food. Food is little bit expensive but considering the taste, it's fine. Staff is quiet friendly. Sometimes waiting time is more when place is crowded.
Food is good in taste. Service is not good they don't provide water and tissue paper by themselves we need to ask for it.don't go after 10.30pm, food is all over if you will ask for something extra.
Hotel is very bad.taste is pathetic.on that the hygiene is gone for a toss, flyes everywhere.not worth at all.this is not Marathi thali.regretting Coz I came here. 1300 RS for 2 fish thanking.waste.
After reading the reviews on zomato I was exited to visit this place however it did not last long the misal was ok sabudana wada and wada paw was good the fish thali was a disaster and so was mutter paneer.for someone who knows the Maharashtrian taste would be disappointed considering the price and taste
Firstly the pros- food is delicious, the thalis are yummy with variety of options and the prawn dishes are very well cooked.cons- the place is too small.on a weekend there may be long waiting so you need to be prepared.
Authentic maharastrian non-veg, veg food served here. The place is next to the busy road with semi-open seating. The ambiance of whitefield branch is better than this.
Ordered veg as it was the first time here. Two of us for dinner. Rice + Dahi Kadhi + Chapatti + Veg Malvani + Bhindi Fry. Order took forever to be taken as well as to be served. In the meantime noticed that the place was packed and customers seemed to be enjoying their food. Order comes piecemeal with Baingan Fry instead of Bhindi Fry But all in all it was Good Marathi 'jevan'. They can do a lot with the cleanliness, order taking time, staff knowledge of dishes available, turnaround time, etc. Manager apologised for the shoddy service and hence will come back here one more time to give it another try ️
It is very costly for sake of maharastrian taste. Most of the chefs are from North East. Some food has taste of maharastra, some not.it very conjusted too.
Not what I expected.while some of the items were good, the service was indifferent.staff were busy fulfilling Swigy orders and generally tend to ignore you.
Suryawanshi restaurant near kormangala serves authentic Kolhapuri cuisine. It's other branch is in Whitefield. The place is small but cute. The service is fast unless its weekends. Avoid it on Sat-Sun for they do alot of delay in services. Been here thrice. But observed that the quality of taste has decreased. The food was served cold. The omlette was burnt. The fish fry was bitter. The rotis were burnt too. All rassa cold. I hope the owners look into this issue and improvise it soon to bring back the original quality that they used to have. Staff just doesn't seem to care about it!
This is an authentic Maharashtrian cuisine restaurant. Absolutely tasty and more than enough in quantity. This place has maximum seating capacity of 14ppl over 5tables.
I lived in Indiranagar for a long time and right when I was about to leave Bangalore I went to this small joint for Marathi food. Absolutely loved it here! 10/10
Food is average. True Mumbai street food lovers, please do not go to this place. I had sabu Dana which was ok but misal oao was pathetic. Not much space to be seated. Place is average. Charges are little too much as part sitting. I think it the locality that person had to pay for. Open road side shop. They have seating arrangement for 10-12 ppl.
