This is an experience of this stay from our visit in June 2022.
Sakleshpura is most beautiful to visit during the rainy season for obvious reasons and we were looking for a nice place to relax and chill. To really distance ourselves from the mundane corporate life. So we stumbled upon Swastha homestay and the moment we saw the pictures, we fell in love with the place and booked it. This stay is situated on some farmland right in the middle of the forest. You can constantly hear the sound of peacocks in the distance.
There are two houses in this stay and we had booked the "villa" as it was referred to. The owner is a very friendly elder person who has lived his life on that land. He lives on the land too just a few hundred metres away from the stay. The villa was very spacious and had a lot of old and traditional decor items. My guess is it'd easily fit a family of 10-12 people but we were 6 in number. The place was spic and span. The only thing to watch out for would be insects and mosquitoes at night given that it's in the middle of the forest, you'll have all sorts of guests at your doorstep, including their old daschund! You get hot water to bathe and nice comfy beds and sheets and all basic utilities inside the house. Outside is a fire camp area where the caretaker would start a fire at night if you want to play some music, dance and party. The caretakers were kind and polite with our requests.
The food in this place was the highlight. Only vegetarian food is prepared at the place while non-vegetarian food is made available from outside. Every day you have baale ele meals and you're served with 3 amazing meals a day. They even indulge you with their speciality items! It was very high quality home cooked food. What more can you ask for? Apart from this they made great tea and coffee in the morning and evening.
The swimming pool doesn't have chlorine I suppose and you'll be swimming with certain guests namely frogs and other insects. This is expected since it's in the open. We even had a snake beating the heat in the pool water! So be wary.
We were given a tour around the stay, the caretaker showed us the farm, the crops they grew and gave us a taste of fruits that grew in the trees. The owner is a very distinguished gentleman who has won various state awards for his hospitality and has even hosted Dr. Rajkumar himself. We saw this and more in his 104+ year old residence.
If you're a corporate employee looking for some time out and want to really enjoy the serene nature, this is definitely the place to go. A weekend at this place and you'll be completely rejuvenated!

Excellent Place to stay and the hospitality in this resort is awesome. The food is excellent though.

Excellent stay.
The best part of the stay was the food. Got a chance to try out local style food.

Location too far from any tourist place
Food is limited in variety
Only 2 to 3 persons to take care of the entire area.

Worth coming here with family and friends. Good gesture by owner and the staff here. Amazing food and excellent stay with nature vibe. Mr govindhappanna and Mr nagaraju thank you so much for your amazing hospitality and service
