Taste is good except for the dosa. Dosa feels heavy and feels like they have added soda. Heavy rush during weekends but yet they haven't done any renovation to control the rush.
Bisi bisi dose and coffee! Authentic South Indian place where you can enjoy the best food and coffee. However please note that they don't accept card or gpay. You need to pay in cash!
It's really great to have food here. I just do not understand why they don't accept online payment? No complaining though. I liked the ambience. Very hygienic and healthy food at a cheaper price.
Well, the famous eatery has recently started using oil (vanaspati/some other oil and not gingely, sunflower, groundnut oils) for the dosas. I went yesterday to take a parcel and was asked if oil is needed for the dosa. I said it usually is made with ghee and the biller said only oil is used now. Only if we eat there, a few drops of ghee is added when given in a plate. We can take oil less dosa and get a amul butter Chiplet for 10 rupees. I think they have compromised on quality of dosa using vanaspati against the rising prices of ghee. Still a best place for idly, vada and the cost is affordable. But for dosa, I will think before I visit.
Wonderful place to have perfect idli, vada and dosa. Prices are very less compared to any other restaurants. Neat and hygienic place. Open kitchen concept, where one can enter kitchen to to how it is maintained. This place have very limited menu. One should try all items in the menu. Love this place.
Great little place that's designed to be efficient rather than look fancy. Delicious food at some of the lowest prices in Bangalore and very hygienic. Has multiple counters and places to sit but can be crowded at times. Definitely worth it if you want to enjoy a simple South Indian breakfast.
Over crowded definitely. No peace while eating which definitely reduces the joy of the food. Corona specific measures are not at all taken. To the extent that the famous hotel just TAKES CASH PAYMENT ONLY.in this Era of digitization even at vegetable carts, it's VERY STRANGE that they take physical money to multiply the chances of Corona infection.it is worth thinking that what can be a justified reason to take only CASH PAYMENTS!? surely not a place for kids and elderly people. It's like eating bitti oota in temple. Hurry hurry
Mouthwatering idli, vada and dosa. Very hygienic, pocket friendly and very delicious. You cannot miss the kesari baath. It’s my favourite breakfast place.
Very hygienic place, you can see the dish washer they use also steamer to maintain hygiene on utensils. Also this is also very well known place for breakfast there will lot of rush of people from young kids to late 60s people here. Here I have tried idly, vada, masala ghee dosa, kesari natt, coffe, tea, etc every dish was delicious and I couldn't find any colorants and tasteners in food.
Masala dosa, idli are one of the best. Khara bath is mainly made of tomato it's wonderful. Best place to hang out for breakfast. It's tooo crowded on weekends.
Nice rate + Good Food a perfect combination of both. They dont provide you with sambar dal but when you eat the dosa you won't feel that it was missing.
Budget friendly place. They maintain Hygiene environment. Tasty food but only break fast and dinner is available "no lunch". Only chutney is available no sambar and only dine in no parcel. Lovely place
They take only cash. So carry some currency with you. Other than that the food is amazing. The vada so crisp you hear the crunch when you bite it. The idli, melt in your mouth soft. And the masala dosa is impossibly crispy and soft at the same time. If you're in bengaluru and want a mouthwatering breakfast head over to taaza thindi!
This place is touted as one of the best place to have breakfast in Bangalore. Well, once you visit here, you won't be disappointed. We tried Dosa, Idly, Vada, and Kara bath (upma). The dosa was the best dish here. Kara bath's preparation was quite different and had a spicy touch to it. Idly and Vada were ok. We also took tea and coffee and they were equally good. Another pro of this place is the cost and quantity. One plate of Kara bath was just Rs. 25 and the quantity was perfect for one person! The place stands out when it comes to cleanliness. I have not seen a cleaner and well managed restaurant like this. Hats off to the management.
By and large this is a fairly decent place to have your breakfast. The prices are fairly reasonable, the food is fairly tasty and the ambience is fairly good. More attention needs to be paid to ' hygiene' ans ' ambience. Today morning however, I got blindsided from another front, the` courtesy front`. Rightly or wrongly, i have always believed that employees in a service industry should go the extra mile when serving customers. Forget the extra mile, rudimentary courtesy was missing in the attitude of some of the employees as experienced by me today. Here is how things went down: we had stepped into the restaurant at around 645am, because of a light drizzle. Wanting to relieve myself, I had gone to the washroom and found it dirty. I had then mentioned it to a couple of employees in the kitchen. One of the employees, after checking the closet had the brazen effrontery to tell me `` That`s the way it usually is ``Honestly, I think this fellow was responsible for the mess in the bathroom. He had a guilty look in his eyes. I then moved to the parcel counter and informed the employee there, who was wearing the dress of Lord Ayappa`s devotee. Instead of being helpful, I was treated to a lecture on how the customers are using the washroom `three times a day` and dirtying it, never mind the fact that there were no outsiders at that early hour and only the staff could have been responsible for this sad state of affairs. What is the use of going to Sabarimala when you lack purity in your soul, when you are not rid of anger and pettiness. I think it is most important for the Management to rein in the arrogance of the employees and teach them humility and respect. Otherwise, any business, however strong they appear to be, will wither and die in a short span of time.
One of my best place to have breakfast. I have been visiting since many years and the standard is too good. Price of the food is very affordable for common man.
Belly full, tongue satisfied, no stomach upset/extremely hygenic, quick service and don't even feel a pinch on the pocket. (Even if you go with a large family). This is what I would define Taaza Thindi as! The go to place for all age groups to have authentic South Indian tiffin items all day everyday.
It's a self service quick eat place. There is some space to sit too, but may ve crowded.
Cheap and tasty Very organized team with minimal interaction with the customers. They only accept cash, no cards no apps If you want the food to be parceled please carry your own containers the huge crowd during today's pandemic times is scary
Best place to have South Indian breakfast, Idli, vada and Dosa are the best. Don't forget to take cash as this place don't accept any kind of digital payment.
If you are a fan of certain taste that you wish to relish for years, then this place is for you! They don't serve a lot of variety but with what they have to offer, they are the best. The perfect Bangalorean cuisine to cherish! I love idli chutney, wada and dosa from there. Also, don't forget to end the amazing breakfast with their filter kaapi:)
My first place in Bengaluru, seems crowdy but totally worth it, the humongous pack of people follows the legacy of Taaza Thindi. Idli is so soft and heavenly and with coconut chutney seems out of the world. Kesari bath is also of next level, such an delightful experience. All these delicious items are inexpensive and pocket friendly. Love the place.
Great dosas (with the extra butter), idlis, baths and coffee. Don't go there for the dining experience, go there for quality Kannada food at the best rates
Pros: : : 1. Very good place to have food; Quality of food is really good. 2. And the price is affordable too. 3. Maintenance is appreciable. Things to note: : : 1. Varieties are very less and are mostly fixed. (Dosa, masala dosa, idly vada, chowchow & karabath). I went there 3 times and exactly same were present. 2. Only chutney will be provided (that too only one type). Less cost is desirable but not at the cost of varieties 3. Will be really crowded especially during weekends and prime time, so please ensure safety during this pandemic time.
Amazing food! Loved the idly, vada and the chutney is fabulous! The highlight would be the masala dosa! I bet you can't stop with one dosa! I definitely didn't
This hotel is bit overrated according to me. But they serve the cheapest dosa. The value of the amount is excellent. But they serve very less cutney. And the place unlike for a dine out
Bangalore's best khara bhath. The rawa kesari was jackfruit flavoured, indeed a sweet surprise. Dosa was grrat too. As always great price, great quality.
Zomato top rated restaurant in the year 2015, need I say more! If you're anywhere nearby this area, it's a must visit place. The food is simple yet soulful and you will be pleasantly surprised to see the prices.
Very Good place to have south Indian bf. Only reason for 4 & not 5 stars is the lack of seating place. The crowd makes you scared during Covid19 times. Great taste, limited menu, reasonable prices and very quick service. A Masala/ Plain Dosa costs Rs 25, vada costs Rs 12, to mention a few. There is parcel service, but you need to bring your own containers
One of the very hyped place that I wanted to visit from a long time. We went there early morning, at about 7: 30 - 8: 00 AM. The food is really good, we tried idli, vada and masala dosa, along with filter coffee and tea. Everything we had was great that we actually ordered the vada and masala dosa again. Another thing that actually makes the place even special is it’s very reasonable prices. We actually had 2 masala dosa 1 idli 3 vadas 1 filter coffee 2 tea All these in just 130 bucks. Must visit place once.
I am changing my rating to lowest from 5 due to yesterday's incident. I am rating very low due to misbehaver of the girl on the cash counter. We are not baggers to visit this restaurant, for 1/2 cup coffee she misbehaved. One more problem this restaurant not accepting card or phone pay.they accept only cash. Dear owner, my request to you better have better customer service oriented employee. I am not new to your restaurant.since the day Tazza opened I am your local customer.
The best South Indian food I have tasted since I have landed in Bangalore. Hygenic and pocket friendly. Full marks to this place for authentic, tasty food:)
Gooooooood. The fooooood is so awesome. You would love to come back to back to eat. And the price is so less. Great place for breakfast or a quick snack
Very popular, reasonably priced, not open the entire time of the day or evening but only at specified timings. Creates traffic problems by cars parked in ' no parking ' places, unfortunately!
Although this venue is almost out of Bangalore for us but maintaining 4.9 rating for years is not a joke and surely instigates you to try it at the earliest. We opted it for morning breakfast n thought of reaching lil early so that we can avoid the crazy crowd. We were wrong as we reached as the place was swamped as if some langar was going on. Although considering the crowd everything was well managed and you don't have to go through the hassles of waiting too long. We had everything which they offer i.e. Dosa, karabath, kesaribath, idli n sambar vada. Another highlight of this place is the hygeine they maintain. Everyone is wrapped in gloves, cap n mask on the face n will make sure they don't touch even a single item. Coming to taste, it's very authentic where u can sense that when south Indian food was originated, that's how it must have been tasted. However the biggest flaw is the fact that they don't serve sambhar which surely creates a dent on your authentic experience. Ambience can't be factored in as they have the bench system where if you r lucky u might find a place or mostly ppl enjoy having their meal standing outside the place with the plates on their hand. A must try but don't zoom your expectations for some miracle!
Awesome food and great value for money. Their masala dosa is a must try. It's quite crowded and getting your space to enjoy them is a challenge. Very efficient system to deliver our order instantly but make sure you check which is the counter you must collect your order as they are dedicated for each item in the menu.
Went for a Saturday morning breakfast. The first thing that attracts you there will be the menu board. Idly 10Rs Vada-10Rs, Masala Dosa-20 Rs, Every items in the menu is below 30₹.
Its bit rushy over there still you can have your breakfast within 30 minutes.
The taste is also really good. Especially the masala dosa is really crispy.
The place is reallyclean and tidy.
For the price the food they are providing there is more than what you expect.
Take your family and friends over for a weekend breakfast without tearing down your pocket and fill your stomach with tasty food.
The food here is awesome, especially chutney. Reasonable price too. If u want to get parcel please bring boxes they don't pack in plastic bags, u should carry your own box.
Hands down the best place in Bangalore to have a scrumptious and heart breakfast! Softest pillowy Idlis and crisp medu vadas along with the delicious coconut chutney makes me visit this place time and again. They have amazing Khara baath, Kesari Baath and a delicious lip smacking Dosa. The idlis and vadas are very economically priced at Rs 10 each. The place is very hygenic and maintains high standards of cleanliness. I would highly recommend this place having myself been here umpteen no of times!
Amazing breakfast joint. They don't have much variety but they definitely make up for it with the quality. Every thing is very hygienic and the prices are very reginoable.
This place can be little crowded sometimes but that only because it's that popular.go for it!
Taaza Thindi a vegetarian hotel at Jayanagar. It have very limited menu but serve quality food at affordable (I should say cheap) price. And this is actually their specialty. As far as I remember menu have masala Dosa, dosa, idali, vada, kesari bath, chow chow bath, tea, coffee and badam milk. There is one line for taking coupons and separate 3 counters for taking (1) Dosa (2) Idali, vada, chowchow bath and kesari bath (3) for tea, coffee and badam milk. Seating facilities are limited. But the place is altogether very neat and clean. Another important thing which I noticed is their parcel service. We have to bring our own containers for getting parcel. Parcel is also a separate counter.
