Stunning and beautiful place is Taj Madikeri Coorg. Breathtaking view, in love with the place. Had a very pleasant and warm welcome by GM Mr. Vikas Kumar, Lobby Manager and the Receptionist too. The room was beautifully decorated for our special occasion.
Feel so good with the hospitality at every Taj.

Simply fabulous - the stay, the atmosphere, the experience. If it was a bit less expensive, I'd stay there more often

Everything was world class and great and the food was exceptionally good, (Finger Licking good) in the real since of the word.

Had eaten their biriyani once and decided to treat my mother on her bday. Wow, how can a 5 star go wrong with a biriyani?

Had the worst ever biriyani and food experience. We later went and ate at a cafe that night.

Taj Madikeri had awed us right during the first visit in 2018. The view from the lobby as soon as one reaches makes it a fantastic property, not to mention the great hospitality! This time we visited to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday and they made sure it ends up being a super special vacation.

Although the entire team works hard to ensure the top class hospitality but here are few name that I would like to mention (hoping I get the spellings right) :

1) Megha from the reception - Am yet to make myself believe that someone surprised my mother with an intricate handmade card! These things are so rare in today's digital world. We're absolutely touched. Can't thank you enough Megha!

2) Sous Chef Akhil Sharma for the amazing food - the pav bhaji, samosas, stuffed parathas, khichdi - everything was cooked to perfection and the freshness of the ingredients was evident. The fact that it wasn't overly spicy or oily made us overeat in every meal!

3) Wuimi from the restaurant team for all the lovely talk and ensuring we are comfortable.

4) Daphi for the surprise decoration in the room to wish Happy Birthday to my mom and last but not the least

5) Boltas the baggi driver - proved that customer service ethics are imbibed in the entire team!

A place becomes special not just by the location, but because of the people around and that's my thought exactly after the recent visit to Taj Madikeri. Thanks to the team for providing a memory to cherish forever!

If there is heaven on earth it is here! Most beautiful resort in the lap of nature. The best staff of taj is right here.so much greenery.private individual cottages.very traditional. Trekking, visit around the property activities included. Good restaurants. Excellent in-house service. Housekeeping superb.

We celebrated our anniversary and had lunch. Niranjan in the restaurant made our day very special. Tejaswini in the front desk also helped me out. True Taj experience. 10 on 10. Thank you Taj.

Excellent Hospitality, Mind Blowing view of valley from Reception. Best part room was facing valley and location was out if the world. We cancelled all our sightseeing and spent whole stay at the property.

Experience of whole group was marvelous. A must place to visit in lifetime. All staff members were very courteous. Food was very tasty. Appam and Stew was very very tasty and mouth watering.
Chef made special Jain food for us.

Loved it. A little away from main town and not that accessible but still worth it. Food was of great quality, amazing hospitality standard.

Outstanding location. Food is very good. The activities: short 3km trek, forest tour, jetline etc are very enjoyable.

After a gap of over 2 years we took a family holiday together at the Taj Madikeri resort. It was wonderful in every way. The staff were courteous and attentive; the natural beauty of Coorg was all around us enveloping us in vibrant green; the rooms were spacious and clean and the food was abundant and delicious! It's more a home than a hotel and it felt so personal.having conversations with the manager, the lobby staff and the restaurant staff. It rained through out and we walked in the hills and the rain forest feeling rested aand rejuvenated. Thank you Taj!

Wonderful property. Extremely thoughtful, friendly and attentive staff. While on the expensive side, it is really worth it. My family and I had a very relaxing time at Taj Madikeri, highly recommend this place.

Well let me break it down for you, it might seem a little over the top while booking but its worthit! Rooms are excellent, activities are fun and well planned. Inhouse amenities like pool (subjected to covid guidelines), four restaurants and the property is a must have experience.
If you are a nature lover and want to take a break from the noisy and hectic life book atleast two night saty so that you have enough to enjoy all the properties.

This place is like living a dream for the incredible views of the valley below and the hills around. Had lunch which combined great service with a very extensive menu including both local and Taj International Signature dishes.

Covid protocols at the property are archaic and pointless in current times, and should be abandoned. Everyone visiting wears a mask and maintains social distancing, and the management should review its policy of locking the barn door after the horse has bolted.

First thing to note while driving here, do not follow GPS location, call and ask reception for advise.

The reception deck itself is amazing. Panoramic view of cloudy hills is to die for.

Cottages are spacious, well stocked, beautiful. However the place is built on stee terrain and hotel provides buggies to travel. This makes the experience luxurious but the service a tad bit slow (which is all explained when you first arrive).

Restaurants are: The Grill (8/10, the fancy dining experience but service was a bit off the day we were there), Dew (7/10, healthy choices but compromises on taste), Nellaki (we did not try but had good choices, Coorgi cuisine) and Ferntree (9/10, their primary restaurant and it is very delicious). Their Bar serves delicious cocktails 9/10.

Activities: Nature hike, property walk, conservatorium, archery, paintball shooting, zip lining. Game room with board games for kids, TT, snooker, foosball, PlayStation.

Pool is closed due to COVID.

Please ask for the Buddha garden, it is a secluded place which is absolutely beautiful.

Final verdict: it is absolutely worth every penny.

Whaaaa taj, the staffs and services are simply superb, and the cooking was very very tasty and so many decorative varieties in food credit goes to taj cheffs, well maintained, No words about nature, wanto visit again and again, lot's of love on taj

One of the nicest resort in Coorg. Great service and hospitality. Restaurants are quite good and local cuisine is a must try. Rooms are clean and well maintained but you do see a sign of place getting older here and there. Temp controlled pool with a view is the highlight but couldn't experience it this time. It was compensated with a nice trek with a beautiful view. Overall good stay.

I have stayed in so many luxury resorts and hotels. But the experience at TAJ Madikeri was the greatest. I cannot explain the experience, you need to experience it.

Went for an Anniversary lunch.very ordinary experience. The Buffet left a lot to be desired, interns appeared clueless about everything and the general Taj hospitality was missing. Outstanding views from the hotel though.

The real Coorg is best explored through this property. The view from infinity is breathtaking (nothing like it). Superb location, extremely well mannered and courteous staff, good breakfast and well organized activities.

I booked this property for my parents anniversary. They arranged a complimentary cake and decor for us. The rainforest walk and morning trek are the must dos here. The guide Pradhan is an amazing person. He gave us great recommendations and info regarding local food & coffee. He has good knowledge of plants & Coorg culture.

Room service is excellent. I had a very very satisfying stay at Taj Madikeri and would recommend this for anyone who wants to feel Coorg.

Excellent place for a Vacation. The service is top notch. Most of the fruits and vegetables are grown in the property itself so no pesticides. They have lot of outdoor activities as well zip line, Rainforest walking, trekking, kayaking, pain ball shooting, archery & mountain bike riding. Special mention of Swimming pool it is world class with jacuzzi.

Revisited the place in March 2021 after 3 years. The property is definitely the best in Madikeri and backed by the stupendous hospitality of Taj.

Highlights - One should definitely see the sunrise sitting in the lobby.

This is one place where you have natural beauty and that's what you see from the room- rolling hills and lot's of greenery.
Peace, happiness and great food. That's what one wants on a vacation.

Absolutely loved the experience

So this was a mixed experience.
Three stars mostly because it was like a hundred degrees outside and the AC of our room did not work the entire time (even though we repeatedly called and informed the hotel staff).
The hotel staff is good.
The food was good.
The rooms, the buggy experience, property visit, strawberry picking, the view from different places was all the good part.

The service could be quicker, like we had to wait for the reception to even pick up our call let alone get the buggy or cleaning or any other services done.

But yes it is a different kind of a hotel.not your regular ones.

If you want to stay in a heven for couple of days. Book a pool villa and stay in Taj madikeri.awesome trained staffs, exellent location, nice food.

The worst experience I have faced while booking With the reservation team. They said they would provide me for 48 k as I agreed to proceed they put us on hold for 40+ min and then hung. Again called them they said it's reserved and make payments for the next day as no one is available at night. I was not followed back as they told when I called them at 12 pm again to make payments they had increased their pricing. To 54 k later when we explained to them they said we will get back to us and never got back.later when we called at 3 pm they increased the price to 70 k.

And when we asked clarification they said Tata bye bye and hung the call on us. They hung more than 3 CE in a single day!

A great place to relax and cut off from your daily routine and connect with nature. The location of this property is the best. The only issue was the service was bad as the staff was exceptionally stretched and badly managed by site management.

Nestled in the western ghats, this property is an outstanding blend of luxury, calm and peace. Firstly all Covid protocols were followed and also utmost care was taken to enforce the guidelines in a very accommodating manner. The room is simply outstanding. It was spacious, clean and well maintained. All the common areas were sanitized and well maintained.

A special mention to the staff at Taj. They wore masks every single time and yet we could see a smile on their face every time. There was so much warmth that they showered that we felt right at home. Kudos to the hospitality.

Finally, we had all the meals at the resort and every single meal was outstanding. Couldn't have asked for more!

A definite 10/10 experience. Contactless check-in to an amazing team at the Ferntree restaurant. The weather perfectly compliments the property.

Such a peaceful and beautiful place, it makes you speechless.spellbound.if u ever want to be and stay close to nature u can't get more then this worth every penny just imagine it's 180 acres of property, i haven't seen bigger rainforest property in india then this.

Beautiful place for a holiday. Require minimum 2 nights here to enjoy all the facilities. The Jiva spa is very good and the therapies are relaxing and rejuvenating. The rooms are spacious and all amenities are provided. The food is amazing and all types of cuisines are included. The staff takes good care and provides personalized service. They have a conservatory headed by a veteran Coorgi defense personnel, he shares good information about the area and its past. Children also enjoy her with feeding ducks and fishes. The Grill restaurant has very interesting menu and the food there was great. The cocktails served were also tasty. The buffet spread is very huge, guests can also order food or of the spread, they even prepare special dishes as per your request. There are buggies available to traverse between the room and restaurant all the time. The property is very nicely maintained. There is a Buddha garden which has tranquil of its own. Here one feels away from all the hustle bustle of the town. There are a lot of birds seen in the property and is a birders paradise.

I had very high hopes from the property. This was a trip I was looking forward to as it’s our anniversary trip.

However, the property is highly mismanaged. Lunch orders are taking over 90’mins (this is shocking)

My most disappointing Taj experience till date.

(Gave my lunch order by 1.30, it’s 15.44 - still hungry and no sign of my food)

Taj Madikeri is a huge disappointment after staying at Taj Lake Palace last month.

Famous taj hospitality combined with a brilliant location. What else to ask for? Expensive but as with all things worth paying for - totally worth it.

Special shout out to Roopa at the lobby, nitin the naturalist for organising amazing walks filled with information.

A tiny point worth calling out only because taj sets a high bar - at their fern tree restaurant - we asked for hot chocolate to round off our dinner - and it never arrived despite a couple of reminders until we eventually just left tired of waiting. Don’t know what happened there - they were quite busy at the time.

This is hands-down one of the best 5-star properties I have been in India! From excellent hospitality, maintenance, friendly and courteous staff, awesome food, taking care of all the needs of your guests – in fact going above and beyond to make it happen, and even COVID-hygiene, the services were beyond excellence.
We had booked our stay for just two days, but we ended up extending it by another day even though we had to shell out a huge price for the last-minute booking, but all in all it was totally worth it!
Special mention to the excellent chef at the Bar & Grill (I forgot his name) for making our anniversary dinner so very special! I have never had this delectable modern Indian fusion food before!
Also, shoutout to a very young and talented intern – Rishi! For making our stay and experience even better.

Stellar infinite views from the lobby (I think one of the best in coorg), great spa but the food could do with some improvement

Good place for chill out with friends and family are well maintained and serviced by good people and price is 2k per night and nice and clean place for the adventure and thrill.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay although very expensive but still worth it.

A combination of luxury service & close proximity to nature, is what Taj Madikeri, Coorg, offers!
The resort has comfortable rooms overlooking stretches of the surrounding rainforest with a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves delicious food, served by courteous staff always on duty. It also has facilities like the Infinity Swimming Pool, Gym & Spa, which are a hit among the guests. Activities offered are Rainforest Walk, Nishani hike, etc.give you a feeling of the surrounding wilderness and one may come across a lot of wildlife such as frogs, snakes & birds.
Sincere thanks to Mr. Nithin, for guiding me around looking for endemic frogs and the malabar pit viper within the property, and to Mr. Anirudh & Mr. Channa for coordinating our stay.

Would like to add one more thing.the people n management really respect nature and have tried their best to conserve it.

One of the best I have been to. Mist sweeps in from the mountains to cover the resort in sheets of white of varying density, deep rain forests, warbling birds of unknown names. Big, comfortable, luxurious rooms with panoramic views of the valley below. Indoor heated infinity pool, outdoor pool as well. Fantastic gym, 3 levels of spa rooms, billiards, fantasy golf. 4 restaurants. 18 hole golf course nearby. A very different kind of a resort. Expensive though!
