They don’t have soup inspite of having in menu, unbelievable but funny & useless reply from a heritage restaurant,
Absolutely not satisfied, we just ordered whatever available with them, since they said no even for some bebycorn starters which is again there in their menu,
It’s really disgusting to listen to A big NO from a popular restaurant
More over the ruthless answers from the staff including manager,
Overall a very bad experience, those who have self respect should never go to Tandoor MG road Bengaluru

My second visit here and it just never disappoints - the service is impeccable, the staff are warm & attentive and it’s always such a pleasure to visit.
The food has always been excellent - we make it a point to try new things on the menu each time and we are yet to be disappointed by a dish.
I love this restaurant and will be back multiple times!

Tandoor impressed me with its Mughlai cuisine. The Chicken gravy dish was creamy perfection, and the mutton Biryani was aromatic and delicious. The ambiance was regal, and the service impeccable. A must-visit for anyone craving authentic Mughlai flavours.

Had biryani, Mr. Mukharjee has given very good service and taste of biryani also was very good. Will come back again for tasty food.

Raghunath was an excellent host. The place is neat and clean and beautiful. Food is very good

A vintage kinda lovely place for family food outing.the ambience is like a palace with beautiful chandeliers and intricate wall arts.in case of food aloo tikki chaat is a must try.the main course is anyway good.if you are a soda lover try fresh lime soda.the service is also fast and perfect.must try place!

Tandoor never fails expectations even after so many years! The flavor is undeniable, the ambience beautiful and the service prompt. We left with bellies full, already planning our next visit!

We went here for my Dad's birthday. Cockroaches on the table is cringy. And as per the owners own admission, the problem is in the wooden flooring and it's not going away despite insect treatment. Covid also seems to have taken its toll on the upkeep of the place and morale of the staff. This place is due for a major overhaul and is best avoided till then inspite of the deep discounts on Dineout.

Went to have tandoori chai but it was not as expected, the tea was good but not the best as they were not following the actual tandoori chai making steps.

The restaurant is bang in the middle of the Business district in MG Road and is a restaurant which features North Indian cuisine. Tandoor is not easily identifiable and could work on their facade to easily capture the attention.

The food was authetically North Indian and the restaurant offers a fine dining experience to the patrons. The interiors resemble those of a Maharaja palace and is very eye catching. The food was good and a bit overpriced but we were satisfied with the quality and quantity of the same. The gulab jamun was out of this world but the other desserts were a hit or a miss.

The service was slow, and food was not justifying the cost. The fish was not fresh and gravy was very unlike fish gravy.

Used to be one of the finest place to dine in in 90's. Went there recently to revive the old memories and it turned out to be a great disappointment. Ordered 3
veg dishes out of which 2 were below average. At a place where a vegetarian meal costs around 1000 per head, if you have to waive hands to get water, lesser said anything more regarding the service, better. Pathetic

The worst restaurant which you can visit in Bangalore. Bad service and food quality. This was a place once with good moments. Old days gone. Visit at your own risk!

Good taste food but they should make parking atleast free for its customers as they charge 50 for 30 min.

What, once used to be the best.is unfortunately not even close to its past self.
Too much expectation based on past experiences, all the way back to early 90s.but utterly disappointed. All the dishes we ordered lacked flavour and texture.
Hope the management takes some action on the feedback they took from us.

Very bad service, took very long to serve anything. I had to cl then thrice to even give me water.

They were not humble or polite at all. Argued for everything. Plus food was also average, I don't know how they have awards for this place.

Heard a lot about this place, I wouldn't say food was exceptionally good, it was pretty decent, rates are too high, Butter Chicken Boneless and cheese Naan is a must try, Amritsari Fish fry is good too, The only drawback was quantity, Since they are charging quite heavily so they can definitely work on the quantity part, Staff is very well behaved.

Reminds me of flying Air India, might have been good 50 years ago. Dirty table cloth, old decor, mediocre food. Took them 20 minutes to get the bill.
Surprisingly restaurant was full. Guess Indians accept mediocrity.

Based on my previous experience I took my friends to Tandoor, but it was a complete let down, the meat was dry and chewy and overcooked. Not at all worth the price. I have had better food at one tenth the price

Saw a cockroch running on the table as soon as we were seating down. Do I need to say more? The response from waiting staff was that we just had a pest control done. Is that a good enough justification? You decide.

This review is purely for vegetarian food (non veg eating friends did like their food ok enough). The food was not even cooked properly. Paneer was rubbery. The soup was watery. The starters (paneer tikka, kababs, tikkis etc) were bland and even the corn chat was so dry. Overall, poor quality of food for really high prices.

No staff! Post covid -hotel is worst, hardly veg options available for dining.basic hospitality ettiquettes are missing
Not worth the price

Tandoor's glory days are long gone. I remember eating there 20 years ago, the food was great back then, now it is a shame that the food and service both are way below average. I am definitely not going back there and would recommend others to stay clear, there are far better options around the area which will also be lighter on your pocket. The icing on the cake was, it is suppose to be a fancy restaurant which is expensive but we had to request them to turn the AC on or at least provide a portable standing fan on a humid Sunday evening.

It was our first visit here. From the online pics it looked like a grand and formal place. But it actually turned out to be a small cozy and casual place. We loved the tandoori chicken and tandoori cauliflower. The garlic naan was perfectly soft and chewy, and served hot and dal tadka was good too. And pretty strong on garlic. Even the lime soda was good because the soda was strong and nicely chilled. I had to ask for some mint chutney to go with the chicken. The server brought it and it was free, so I wonder why it wasn't served along with the chicken in the beginning. The staff was cordial and pleasant. The place could look more spacious without the huge chandeliers because the very low carpeted ceiling can make it a little claustrophobic. The table clothes are pleading to retire too.
I realise it's an old establishment, but a little renovation would do wonders. Will surely visit again and try other items soon.

Good place for lunch and dinner. Veg and non veg available including liquor. Tasty food. Interiors are tastefully decorated. Less staff becoz of covid19, but still the service was good. Covid19 protocol followed strictly. Valet parking. Not many cars can be parked. Wheelchair access is there for parking and also to the restaurant. Credit card payment accepted. One of the oldest resturant in Bengaluru. Situated on MG road.

We loved the ambience. Good place to enjoy with family and friends. We loved food taste but then it was astonishing to see that they cook food in low quality oil. They accepted that they use Dalda for their food cooking. Extremely shocking to see that a restaurant in such a great place and with such price are using corner stalls oil to cook food. Extremely dangerous to health.

Arrogant staff who act over smart. We ordered for 2 starters and after 25 mins, we requested for it again, only to be informed " you should have come at 7 pm and ordered, by 8 pm we would have served. Later they brought the starters and main course together, when we objected, we were served cold Naan and Kulchas on our repeat order. Did not expect such shoddy service from a fine dine restaurant like Tandoor.

Had very high expectations. But unfortunately did not live up to the expectations. The food was over cooked, chewy.
The service was too slow and the server was a bit arrogant.
Waited for a long time and ended up getting told the chef has closed the kitchen.

The other day (10th July 2021) we went for lunch. There was the owner in his own world over the phone sitting in some corner, one manager and one chef. After we sat for 15 mins, the manager came and told there is no service. There were a couple of other guests who were served. They were waiting for 1 hr for the chef to prepare what they ordered in limit.

I am OK for being sent out but sad part is, the attitude of the owner, they should have posted a message on the door as to it is closed. I had to shell out Rs. 50/- for parking because the hotel no more pays the parking folks. Hard earned money, guys.

No comments on the quality of food as didn't have food.

Chef has forgotten the taste of mutton Rogan Ghosh/ has no idea what it really is. We returned the dish with the complaint that it had a bitter aftertaste. The head waiter, a polished gentleman by the name of Colin, very kindly offered to replace the dish with another. We agreed. Imagine our disappointment and disgust when we were given another dish with the same gravy and the same bitter aftertaste. We left the food, paid the bill and left. Never to return.

They used to be amazing but they have lost their quality and customer service. The butter chicken and dal makhani have been openly watered down. When informed to the manager they were not fussed about the drop in quality.
I used to eat their food twice a month. Very disappointed.

In my opinion one of the best place in bangalore for authentic Punjabi cuisine.

Very bad experience. It used be a good resto earlier. Visited after a long time but turned to be a bad choice. Hospitality not good.

Pricey place. However, the food does not quite match the price. Quantity is good. Quality is also good. Service is prompt and courteous. They are following all the safety protocal in all parts of the restaurant. They need to get the food taste back to the way it used to be. Example, we ordered for Dal makhani, what we got was a watered down version of what is supposed to be a rich in butter and thickness. All the veg and non veg items, both snack as well as main course items were good. But nothing exceptional and therefore not value for money considering the price.

Dined at Tandoor after fifteen years. Really amazed that the taste and quality of the dishes has not changed at all. Extremely yummy and delicious

Great food, ambience, and service! What more can you ask? Enjoyed a wonderful evening with family friends. Their Tandoor starters are something you shouldn’t miss. We’ve had butter chicken at various restaurants in Bangalore and can safely state that this place has the best. Coordination between Mr. Colin (Unit Manager at Tandoor) and his team is exemplary. They’d be at your service in a jiffy and everything served were piping hot! If you want to experience the real savoury of Punjabi/ Tandoori delicacies, look no further. Thanks again for a wonderful evening and be assured we’re coming back for more!

We 7 of y family members went with high expectations reading the name. Every dish we ordered veg or non-veg were bad. Restaurant owner and captains were not even regretting or accepting the mistake. They said we make this kind of food and everyone likes it. Overall very bad experience and don’t recommend to anyone.

Good and warm welcome in a 1990's decor setting. Unfortunately the cuisine seems to have ignored the basic rule of food " To thine ownself be true". The chef needs to travel to the North West frontier, AF-Pak and Iran to resurrect the spices and tastes without compromise. The whole world would run to them, as they do in Delhi's Pindi & Gulati restaurants?

Tandoor is a very old restaurant situated on M. G road.it's one of the best for fine dining.parkinh is available, wheelchair accessible. The staff are friendly and food is yummy.

What sort of chefs have you hired? Food quality has gone down completely. The Dal Makhani we ordered was sour as hell, the Dal Tadka we ordered was stale and had to be returned. The tomato soup, you can't even call it a soup. Oh and the worst part of it all -Pricey as hell. Steer clear of this place please. There are other restaurants that serve such amazing North Indian food, at pocket-friendly prices that too. Tandoor, please shut down and never open again.

Brilliant place, right in the heart of MG Road, and a place for those who like their Insta to go a bit retro once in a while. The good food, complemented with some great live music sung by the hostess, bring life to this place. Recommended for both groups and people seeking a quiet corner for a date. And bring on your Indian taste buds, because this place is all Indian. Don't forget to gorge on some biryani though, because it is nice!

Twenty years on and the place still maintains it's charm and authentic North Indian cuisine experience.

Food is great, serving sizes are decent and prices aren't too steep either. Stick to classical North Indian dishes for the best experience. Tandoori fare is great.

The ambience is something quite rare nowadays, decorated like the old times with arches, heavy chandeliers and a wall and ceiling paint to look like a durbar. The 1st floor looks like it's been warned out of extra ceiling height on ground floor. It has poor ceiling height and funny chandeliers that hang below the chair levels. One could literally walk into a chandelier.

The place is quite busy and pre- booking is highly advised. Parking is a pain in that area, thankfully they have valet parking to take care of that.

The service was poor when I went, not sure if it was because I was quite late (10pm) or they we're simply overwhelmed but if that's their regular service, they need to pick up their game. Being a fine dining restaurant, poor service can dampen the whole experience.

Overall worth a visit for the food if not for the service.

The place has very old interiors. Linen being used on the table is not clean. Air conditioning was not working and dinner took almost 50 minutes to come.

It's good restaurant, and one best thing is its MG road near to metro Station. And very easy to locate as in on the road side. Even in traffic or bus or ur own vehicle easy to find (with its big name as TANDOOR). As MG road is great place to visit for shopping. Everything was awesome food, staff support etc, with this restaurant. Not only Non Veg food but also Veg food was also good. People should go aleast once, who like to eat good tasty food with great staff support. Overall it was quick and great service. Price is high for normal person, but those who like to eat good food and not thinking of money they should go once. Even parking is also available.

The food here is great but slightly overpriced for the quantity. The murgh reshmi was really rich and I will suggest that only if you don't like spicy food. The ac was not working on the ground floor. The ambience was ok. Service definitely needs a lot of improving. A meal for two would cost about Rs. 2500/-.

A must for a memorable dining experience. A good mix of music, drinks and sumptuous food. Every mouthful is a heavenly bite.

A fantastic option for North Indian food in the heart of Bangalore. The Dal Makhani was delectable. They should, however work on their customer service.

If you're on MG Road and really want some piping hot North Indian food, with some alcohol to wash it down, then this place has what you need. It's not the best food, but it gets the job done. It's worth eating at if you're already at MG road and are hungry, but if you're not at MG road, then there are better options all around Bangalore.
