Thadiyandamol Peak Trek Start

Scenic beauty is awesome. Hard terrain during trek. We go through thick forest which is very small part of entire trek.
The final view of the terk is really worthfull

Oh good this place is out of the world. We hiked with our 2yr old daughter and took almost 5 hours. If you are taking a car till the base then beware that the pathway is very narrow and there are limited parking available. The trek itself is very beautiful. At least trek till the end of the forest which is the second last ascend to the summit

Nothing to say an excellent experience,
But only thandiyandamol peak cant give u full trekking experience, most of the people directly hikes to the top of the peak, and it was very easy beacuse there is direct path to the top, but very long to walk approximately 4 to 5 km from the base.

There is another hill range infront of the thadiyandamol, which is seen firstly,
We start the trek from the back side of that hill, it was 80 degree climbing and gave us most trekking experience, it took 2 hours to reach there, then at top. It was the heaven of fog and surrounding hills.we can walk through the top of peak to another one and to another, an its not ending.every peak was wonderful, seriously it was the best experience than Thadiyandamol peak.

If your a true hiker, and want to experience real feel of trekking, just dont go directly to the Thandiayandamol peak.

First hike to the nearest hills, and then go to Main peak.

Take enough foods, water, rain coats. A trekker should carry enough accessories and gears.otherwise its gonna hrt you.

It was a very nice experience for me. I enjoyed it a lot. I didn't make it to the peak due to fog and rain but wherever I went it was very very beautiful.

2nd Highest Peak in Karnataka. Total 14 km trek. It is the third highest peak in Karnataka, after Mullayyanagiri & Kudremukha. It is located Western Ghats range, and reaches an elevation of 1,748 m. The mountain has patches of shola forests in the valleys. From seeing pretty butterflies, to waterfalls that are of just the right size to enjoy, to jaw dropping views of the valley. Tadiandamol is a MUST for everybody who choose NATURE over Netflix.

After about 4kms of walk we reach BIG ROCK that will serve as a point of rest before we continue towards the peak. The path then tests you with gradual increase in the inclination, this where you come across the famous shola jungle.

But nature has a trick up her sleeve, we come up to a false peak which deceive many people who end up thinking that this is the peak. The trail thereafter becomes narrow and steep, which makes even a distance of just 300m seem like a lot!

The top is usually covered in low, moving clouds. After spending ample time and enjoying everything that the trek has to offer we have our packed lunch and enjoy the panoramic views, we begin our descent at a slow comfortable pace back to the base.

There is a steep incline the last 150-200 meters before the trek summit. Otherwise it is a pretty easy climb of about 1.5 to 2 hrs for even untrained young or middle aged people with reasonable fitness. I wouldn't rate the scenery on a very high rating though. The drive to the Trek start point is a bit thrilling with some steep & narrow turns. If another vehicle come opposite it takes some back & forth maneuvering to pass.

The third highest peak in karnataka and one of the tough trecks you can ask for. The view is amazing and is worth the treck all the way up. You'll get all the snacks you need and price is not that inflated. The only problem is if you want food then you should order it an hour before, which is at the starting point.

Really loved the treacking here but recommended if you can go to the top you can go because to go to the top before 100m there is lot of slippery you can climb up but while coming down its very slippery so be careful but you will enjoy the views and scenery there really a great experience. Must Visit place.

Difficulty of the trek is Medium in Summer but in Monsoon it would be very difficult as many slopes are slippery. Nevertheless, all the sweat and efforts are worth the view and breeze at the top. Adventurous people should trek to this peak. Trek point/check post opens from 7 AM till 2PM. To and fro takes about 5-6 hours depending on your pace. Recommended!

Note: make sure you carry enough water bottles and snacks. As there is nothing after the check point.

Ticket price: 250 for adults & 150 for kids

The trek was extremely steep and quite an intense trek for the first timers.
Don't fret, You will be awarded with an amazing view later and a walk purely through the forest.

Only last 3.5 kms we trecked. (one way) nice treck.amazing views.carry water and snacks.a shop is there near forest checkpost where u get maggi, buttermilk, water, juice bottles etc. Takes 2-4 hrs to complete the treck.

Awesome place in Coorg to do 1 day trek. Forest officials are friendly and charges are 250/- for Indian citizens. The trek is also easy with only steep climb in 3 places

I really appreciate the cleanliness and hospitality shown by the forest guard. Easy trek, up and down can be completed in 4 hours.

One of the beautiful places to trek in Karnataka. You can do a 9km trek or a 3.5km trek (one way). You have an option to take car or two wheeler till the last home stay which in around 500mts away from the forest check post. As of today, concrete road construction was going on, it should be done in few days and good to take your vehicles.
The trek is another 3.5kms. You need to pay Rs250 per person (1000 for foreigners) to go this trek. It's a medium to difficult trek (my opinion). Once you complete you'll be rewarded with beautiful view!

Will get to see the nature at its best.
Steap is more so keep hydrated and take rests in between.

This is the Trek starting point. Till here you can take your vehicle. There's one homestay where you can get lunch/food but you have to inform them before. Nice food and affordable. Now the road conditions are good. Any vehicle with good ground clearance can be taken.

Last place from where real trek starts and only structure one can find after this is the forest department check post.

The distance from here is around 4.5 Km but some of those are very tough and steep.

You won't get what you want always here! Just a small shop for cool drinks and lemon juices

Total trek distance is 3.75 km. After reaching at the top, view is awesome.worth visiting.

Moderate trekking place which will be loved by ppl who love adventure. The peak is ecstatic
