We had the pleasure of staying at this cottage as a family group from 21 to 23 Dec 22. It was a fabulous & memorable experience amidst the serene, idyllic and sylvan surroundings of coffee & pepper plantations. One can't imagine for a better place for rejuvenation & peace as a detour from the din & bustle of metro life. The rooms are immaculate with 24x7 look after by the efficient house-keeping staff. They really made us feel the warmth of what a home-stay should be. The catering was superb that caters to one's all culinary tastes.special praise for M/S D'Souza & Chef Shashi Kiran for such a wonderfully personalised look after. One can opt for a round of golf (9 hole course) and a guided plantation trail trip, on demand. Hats off to the team of Mr Deepak Parashar (Operations Manager) ably assisted by M/S Mandanna & Pathak for maintaining the facility to true elegance & standard of the TATAs. In sum, this is THE PLACE to opt for to enjoy the warmth & hospitality of home stay in the Coorg. Best wishes to the team. Real 5 Star rating and very firmly recommended for all who scout around.
Amazing food and great service. Would defintely recommend the cottage though the other heritage bungalows are more recommended than this. Beautiful sound of birds and well maintained place.
What a lovely cottage. What brilliant service special call out to Kaleem. Nestled in the middle of a plantation, the only thing is, it might be a tad difficult to find but roll down the windows, ask and you shall find!:) But once you reach there, every single thing is care of. Food to rooms to service, everything is just excellent. Definitely, a place to visit.
I have been both before and after the cottage became ama stays. The price tag had become too high. Before each room costed around 4k to 6k per day depending on the season. But now price of 10k per day is too high. Before being ama stays, it had an idyllic guest house feel. Wanted to remove a star after it got changed to ama just because of the price tag. Previously when the property was maintained, I believe by Tata Plantations it was much less on the price tag and had a lot of fun during the plantation tours, golf course and bird watching. However, talking about the service, Lokesh had been more than a perfect host everytime I visited. He made sure that we were comfortable at all times. Manjunath, I think if I remember the chef's name correctly used to dish out food which was exemplary. The Lemon Coriander soup and Chocolate soufflé will remain etched in my memory forever. It because of the hospitality of Lokesh and the chef in particular that I had to give it a 5 star rating. I think IHCL should look at reducing the price tag but not the service. I love this place and price should be the reason that I stop coming.
