Thavihakklu Homestay

Visited the place with my friends on a two day visit. Place was neat and clean, good yummy food, well organised camp fire and the hospitality of the owners was good. Well maintained and would definately recommend to others.

Our stay at Thavihakklu Homestay was just amazing. We were a group of 9 people and we had the most amazing time.
The Host's family were so warm and welcoming. Their hospitality is top notch and they did everything to make us feel at home. The food cooked by the Host's Mum was just too pleasing to our tastebuds that every meal we had during our stay was a situation of overfeeding and definitely gained a few pounds.
She was too kind to accommodate our spice level demands and exceeded our expectations.
The super cozy rooms and the bathrooms were clean. Our bonfire experience is something we'll never forget.
The rate I'd say is extremely reasonable and definitely worth the service.
The location was feasible for us as it had easy access to the famous tourist points for sightseeing and trekking.
Their own coffee estate itself is quite the sight.
Overall we had an amazing experience in this cozy Homestay and definitely will not consider other places if we ever happen to land in Chikmagalur.
If you're looking for modern houses with modern amenities then this is not the best option.
But if you're like us and looking for a cozy warm homelike cottage, looking for a peaceful relaxing holiday then this is definitely the place to be.

It's a beautiful homestay in a wonderful place deep inside surrounded by coffee estates. We stayed for 3 days. The homestay is centrally located with lots of holy places, historical structural Marvels, hill stations and waterfalls nearby.

The hosts are amazingly cordial and the Malnad delicacies dished out to us everyday was yummy. In fact in every aspect of comfort, they stretched beyond to keep us happy. The campfires every night were so memorable.
In fact their guidance in planning the itinerary was very helpful.

Walk through the coffee estate was refreshing. The early morning cycling experience was great. Lots of play items to engage small children. We were lucky to visit the Neel kuruvunji Flowers which bloom once in 12 years.

Finally all these at a very reasonable cost. It was memorable trip and the families had a great fun. We definitely look forward to revisit the homestay.:)

The ambiance of the homestay was very nice and the hospitality was top notch. Personally it was one the best experiences and would recommend anyone visiting especially for larger groups. Kudos to the owners for making it a memorable stay

Great place to spend time with family and friends. A fun place to be within the coffee estate. A good weekend gateway, great hospitality & service by the owners.

There is two house, one is owner's and backside house they put on rent. There are no proper fans, it was too hot when we went. Insects were there in bathroom. Wifi connection was not good. No bodywash/soap provided for bathing. Service was very good. The location was between the trees. Peaceful place. The shops are too far. Taste and quality of the food was good. Coffee was very good.

The experience was one of a kind with homestay like never before. Good was awesome and surrounding was awesome as well. Must go

Reunion party done the best possible way in this beautiful homestay. The host was wonderful. The entire family of Mahan was really caring. Special mention to aunty ️. Every meal was wonderful. We had an amazing weekend and highly recommend other travellers to kindly visit.

Very friendly owner and delicious local food along with nice coffee. The place is situated in middle of forest and coffee plants. Really calm and nice place to visit and relax yourself from the concrete jungle.

Place + Hospitality + positive vide all are combination in place.you definitely wants to visit here again and again.

The Place is awesome and the hosts are incredibly warm and the Food was great! The surroundings are very serene and give you a good break from the city noise. The place is very budget-friendly. I would recommend this to everyone!)

One of THE best place ever in my life. The caring and immediate response of owners to the clients was awesome. The hospitality and the food was very good.

We visited the homestay for a friends' reunion trip and it was a great experience. It's a quaint house located in the middle of lush plantation, a lovely property. There were so many board games in the house to play and the food was great. The menu has a lot of variety and we always had different dishes for lunch and dinner. The place is very clean and located in a perfect setting. The hospitality is amazing and they helped us with figuring out nearby places to visit and were always pleasant to interact with. Although it was peak monsoon and it rained pretty much the entire time we were there, it was never dull. We would love to revisit it sometime in the future.

Beautiful property situated in the rainforests of Mudigere only a while away from the main town. The warm family hosts you like their own, making you feel at home. Surrounded by coffee plantations makes the treks around refreshing. Very well maintained property with the owners living right next to you available at every beck and call. Highly recommend thavihakklu homestay in the must visit town of mudigere!

It’s a great place to stay in the middle of coffee estate. It was the best experience staying there. Location is very beautiful and close to nature. This place is very well maintained. Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience.

I would highly recommend this place who would like to visit Mullayanagiri, devaramane, etthina Bhuja and many more. I would like to visit this place again.
