The Capitol Hotel

There is no sign saying capitol, it just says hotel paraag. Very misleading. One way street so if you miss the hotel, you're done for

I visited the hotel for a conference in the Senate Hall in the basement. It is well maintained with adequate parking and clean restrooms. Food is good and suitable for gatherings such as conferences and symposiums. The greatest plus point is its central location being in the heart of town, next to Vidhana Soudha, High Court and Raj Bhavan. It is walking distance from Cubbon Park Metro Station.

I visited this place to attend a family function in the banquet hall in the basement. Well maintained premises with a very good dining hall and excellent service.

Had a great experience. My first ever Christian reception attended. Had a buffet system. Non veg ultimate. Decoration mind blowing. The air conditioner should be a little high. Parking was okay. Should be neat and clean. Reception hall and music too good

I went for lunch. They had only very few items. Taste was very bad. No provision to use international cards. Avoid it.

Have used their banquet hall. Spacious with enough air conditioning. I don't think they serve halal food.

The hotel texture is good but while staying there suddenly current cut and no proper hot water only staff behaviour is good but hotel should not be considered as 4 star it's like a normal lodge
Nothing is clean worst experience

The place is good but not maintained well. Possibly due to the low occupancy most of the sections of the hotel are closed off and wear a deserted look. The banquet halls are big and spacious and can accommodate a large crowd easily. Food is good and the staff also are very courteous and helpful.

Good Hotel, the food is good, has poor customer service - they refused to reduce the temperature for the Air-conditioning making every one feel uncomfortable

Worst ever hotel I visited. Not cleaned rooms no key for the room we have to go to reception every time we have to enter the room

Last week we had my brother’s wedding reception at the Grand Ball Room on 21 Jan 2021. The setup was excellent and the food was awesome - We appreciate how well everything was coordinated.  However, there was a major glitch with the lift. It was not working and they had not even put up a board. Few of our guests got into the lift during the function and got out since they felt something was wrong - thankfully they did not get stuck. But however when we left the hall - the bride, groom and immediate families - we got stuck in the lift at 12am. The worst part is the hotel had switched off most of the lights and nobody was even there,  within minutes after we settled the bill. We had to bang the lift doors and thankfully since we had stopped close to the floor and not in the middle, they managed to open. This is a very serious concern - we had elders in the lift and what if they collapsed?  The lame excuse given by the hotel was that it was over load - if it was why is there no indication/ light of the overload - why did the lift move if it was over load - This is just UNACCEPTABLE.  This are basic things and proper utmost care needs to be taken with these things - extremely disappointed with this episode  Also, there were other issues with the AC not working in the complimentary room and they had to search for the room key twice when we checked in on the day of the reception - we wasted20 mins!  All these issues need to be addressed with the hotel.
A line in acknowledgement of the above will be much appreciated.

This is a four star hotel with rooms and party hall to conduct small.functions for 500 people.

Rooms are maintained well and spacious but the corridors and other places lack some cleanliness. Lack of light and old interior designs makes it look bit old.

Wallet parking is available and staffs are also behaved well.

Suitable for small wedding functions for 500 people. During covid time, they arranged the chairs with space and was okay.

Food was normal and they arranged a course meal. Hope they wont allow food from outside for special occassions.

The location was good, pricey but definitely din't like the food that was served for a wedding reception. It was cold. The boys who served barely gave pieces in biriyani. They were not happy serving guests. Not a pleasant experience. Wedding hall was good, there was vallet parking and that's it. But let me tell you many years ago I did have attended wedding here and the food and service was amazing.say some ten to fourteen years ago. Thats not the Capitol we get to experience now

Beautiful place for small gathering and reception.rooms are comfortable.but quality and taste of good is not up to the mark.

Please keep the place cool. If you turn the AC on only when the guests come, it is a complete turn off.

Have been there couple of times for official events and not for stay. Food was not to speak highly of, decent.

We had stayed for two days here. Checkin was smooth but front desk executive could have been more warm and friendly. Perfect business manners is their motto - and they stand up to it. Rooms are old, corridors heavily carpeted. Signs of wear present in many parts of the room and washroom. Service was good though. They obliged us with late night snacks/ chocolate milk etc whenever we had asked. Breakfast buffet was very sumptuous. Located near Cubbon Park in heart of Bangalore. Of course far from airport. Keep at least 3 hours in hand to reach airport- Bangalore traffic can’t be relied upon, that’s what I felt and my friends here counselled.

This place is so good for arranging a conference, meeting, exams the price is fair for the rich ones

Good business hotel for conferences, seminars and office events. Placed right in the center of the city. Place is in a few minutes walking distance to Vidhana Soudha. Parking may become an issue as they don't seem to have an expansive place around.

Ideal Business Hotel.good for meetings, seminar and functions.food can be improved. Recent times they have done a lot of upgrades and alterations in the hotel. Looks much better. They have atleast 3 halls for meetings, two of which are quite big. Parking to a limited number is available.

Very good and nice stay. Located in prime location. Near to shivaji nagar and mg road. Party's and events can do very colour full

Good. Attended a Convention arranged by L. I. C.for top performing Development officers.
Hall and food also good.

Good place to stay at affordable prices. Old property but we'll maintained rooms. The gym is not good with very old equipment. Breakfast spread is average.

Good hospitality. Staying here other facilities are nearby, walkable distance for many places around. Metro station nearby

Stayed there for 5 days during my business trip and the experience was amazing! Totally satisfied with all the services & amenities!

Had been for my Official Annual Party.

The lights in the hall couldn't be controlled by the organisers. They could neither switch it off and on nor reduce the intensity as and when required. I had asked the hotel staff and they said they can just turn it off & leave it like that. They cannot allocate a staff for controlling the lights.

People were willing to dance in groups at the last seats during performances and enjoy the evening had there been low lights, but hotel could never manage that. Hence people had to miss the fun.

I felt the dining area was congested, so people were pushed into the hall which delayed lunch and post-lunch activities.

Really old looking and decrepit hotel, bath bathtubs, bad lights, dirty bed cover, dripping water outside all night long from roof construction, but nice pool, great breakfast buffet and helpful staff. Cannot be a 4-star hotel, or maybe that was decades ago.

Had been here for lunch, had biriyani and was spicy and good. The price is surprisingly less compared to any famous chain Andra hotels. Great ambiance and good food

A very posh place and very well maintained. Has sufficient place for parking, valet parking available.

There was a 2 day UNICEF program here which I was a part of. Breakfast Buffet is good and the lunch and the facilities for the training and discussion was well Managed
