The Chancery Hotel

The location is just great. Close to just about every happening place around UB City. Rooms are pretty decent. The in-house spa place is very good and worth every penny.

Reception staff seemed pretty impersonal but otherwise, this place is worth the price you pay.

I feel like there is a bit of a gap for Japanese people to stay here, but I think it's good by Indian standards. Rating is Japanese standard.
Intuitively, I got the impression that the guest room facilities and setup were at the level of a guesthouse or a resort.

I was there for a 3 day training. The experience was awesome. Everything was neat & clean.
The staff were friendly especially Mujaker who was always there with a smile.

The hotel team supen was good i appreciate the way of behaviour with participants i will suggest always supen for the future

And the food also very nice

I stayed one day. Staying here mainly because of the staff's hospitality, they are thoroughly professional and oblige to all your requests. I have enjoyed the stay very gud place, must vist.

We attended here for business training. Locations wise / hotel wise it's too good to conduct trainings and all and also food is tasty.

Except the guards and the bell boys, reception staff is gross.
You kind of have to prove to them that you did not take extra bottles in the day, then only they give the promised 4 bottles of the day. Bad washroom,

We stayed here 2nights. The rooms are really good. The bathroom was so clean. In this price range it's really great. The location is undoubtedly the best. The staffs are friendly. Only breakfast with limited items. Still this hotel is great.

I booked a late night stay and the overall experience was not very pleasant. The reception staff seemed annoyed by just the interaction, and her frustration was well evident. Clearly she hated her job, and her tone and outlook was a little bit hostile.
I was told that the room service would be available but limited to one or two items, and yet I rang them four times and didnt receive a response.

The rooms were neat but definitely needs maintenance, and the staff needs to be trained to be more hospitable and welcoming. In short, if you're in Banglore you should consider other hotels before settling for this one.

I had a lovely time until on the 3rd day of my check out. I requested for a late checkout and I was delayed by half an hour. There's this operations manager Abilash who kept calling me about10 times till I got out of my room and this guy had the worst attitude towards me. Very disrespectful and rude and also for the half hour delay made me pay for the room.

I hope the management realizes that these kind of people should be thrown out of the place and rather promote a person who has a kind attitude with guests.

Won't ever step into this place again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone. Find another place people.

Guys are really horrible.

The rooms were amazing! But again the service wasn't quite good. Some of the people were gentle whereas some arseh*les were quite rude.

Very bad experience. Mr karthik and the receptionist were very rude. From the beginning their behavior was outrageous. Did not feel like staying in the room after seeing their attitude. Very unpleasant. Do not book here thinking it's a good hotel. The management and staff didn't know what's happening in their hotel. They were blaming us for being in the room for 4-5 hours when we had been there for only 1 hour. Night shift experience was horrible.

MR. Karthik the so called manager and the receptionist both do not know how to talk. Not a good option.

Looks old school, vintage. The management needs to focus on maintanance, because the chancery pavillion looks more well maintained.

Amazing huge banquet hall. Lovely ambiance and heard good reviews about the food. I haven't tasted as I don't eat where non-veg is also served. It's a personal choice.

The chancery hotel is situated in Central Bangalore, the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff here are helpful and polite

Driver Rest Room is very worst.
And driver Room is not how to drivers next time. Reference for guest this hotel worst experience 26 to 28. Staying last week please immediately improve the best thing

Though I booked a king size bed, while check in they informed, two single beds are available. For king size bed I have to pay 1000 plus tax. Finally give me that sort without extra charge, thanks for the generosity. Room service the worst ever experience I have, asked three times for the bathroom door mate. Being wooden floor, I don't want to wet the floor and damage it. Every hotel I try to keep the place tidy in a responsible way. Altogether it's totally disappointed.

Best hotel for staying banglore and nearby by Church Street, MG road all in walkable distance only

The standards are not as per a 4 star hotel. The washroom wasn’t very clean and when I asked the room serve, they just said that it’s the cleanest they can offer. The cleanliness was worse than a one star hotel. The staff is helpful but very very slow. When I checked in, the key didn’t work. I asked them and they took 15 minutes to fix it and all the time they just kept me waiting next to the door with luggage. Same goes for when I asked for water bottle, they took much more time to deliver bottled water. For me it was worth for the price I paid (less than 2k). Otherwise you get much better experience for a 4 star hotel.

I m working in swiggy today morning I had a food delivery in this hotel I reached at 2: 30am and customer said to give it to reception customer said room number but it was wrong and reception guy was like here out side food is not allowed itseems and they won't call the customer also and he said thats it first of all customer was hungry so he could eat from your hotel but he ordered from swiggy so i need to deliver it at any cost that reception guy was like no respect to talk with me because I m working in a low profile job is that way to talk I came here to deliver food who is staying in your hotel so that my job to deliver and its very bad feeling when it happens

TERRIBLE POLICIES WITH THE DUTY MANAGER TRAINED TO GIVE SARCASTIC REPLIES.
I've stayed here for a couple of days. Two hours after checking-in, the duty manager has called up and requested for a change of room citing that another guest has requested for the room in the same floor.
I had to leave the hotel on the night of day 2 to meet a friend without any request to clean the room nor to collect any clothes for laundry. I have returned to hotel the next day morning only to find out that the door of my room is kept open by the hotel staff. I've called the front desk for the reason to do so. Instead of apolozing for their mistake they started giving me excuses in the name of laundry collection and cleaning the room. "The room was neither cleaned nor any laundry was picked. "
The duty manager has the audacity to pass on sarcastic comments and was telling me that I can go ahead to file a complaint in the consumer court.
@thechanceryhotel, its high time you train your staff and duty managers to address the customers in a way they are supposed to be addressed.

The perfect room for two. Clean and hygienic, their room service was quick however had to ask for a lot of things separately and even though they say it's possible to extend the checkout time for a few hours in the booking offer it's hardly the case.

Very badly maintained hotel. Very old furniture, beddings, electronic items. Food is also not so great. Not worth the money

The rooms need urgent improvements. The switches in the room, the antique TV system are really headache. Breakfast is really good and nice gorgeous staff. But hardware really needs to catch-up.

Love the dessert here coming at the lunch buffet. We actually had our grandpa's 90th birthday here. The Pastry was too yummy. Biryani was average. Options were more to eat. I only loved the italian cuisine. The indian cuesine is average here. Ambience is crampped inside. But its spacious on the outer hall. You can come sit here n eat

The place is wonderful, lots of place and is very very clean.
The buffet menu was also very nice with a lot of variety and more importantly it tasted good. Was cooked well.

The toilets are pretty less than average. Not very clean, could have been much much better. One of their doors was also not working.

They have Valet parking and Enough place if you get your 2 wheeler too!

I had booked room for three. And had hardly any supplies for three. We had to request twice for an extra bed. Also the break fast was really really really bad. I loved breakfast at chancery pavilion. But The chancery breakfast was very very bad. Hardly had any food options and the taste was horrible.

Hotel is old and required maintenance. Service in the restaurant is very pathetic. Other than 1 or 2 staff remaining all are lazy

The location is excellent. The hotel and the staff are also good, however, house keeping is very poor, the bedsheets and pillow cases don't look and feel fresh, the cups in the room are dusty. All in all housekeeping is horrible for the amount they charge.

Booked for one night on 22dec. The service is way behind expectations from such hotels. This has been my 3rd stay in this hotel however the feedback remains same.

Classic interior is charming, spacious guest room. Recommend choose refurbished wing as the old wing rundown a little. Suitable for Japanese as they serve Japanese breakfast and onsen facilities available.

The reception area staffs were so cool, not interested to attend the calls and guest. Especially the b/f area, the staffs are thinking it is a free food for guest, so they are not respecting the guests in the morning. Dear staffs please keep in mind we are paying for the food also. The same room is available in lesser price without b/f

Attended the introduction to Flame University. Convenient location. Polite staff. Pleasant decor. Terrible coffee. I still don't understand why hotels, especially, upscale ones don't offer sugarless, varying strengths of coffee. How joyful it would be to drink a passable cuppa.

Decent on hospitality. We used their conference room and banquet facilities. Staff are very cooperative and enthusiastic. Food is average on the breakfast menu. Lunch buffet was decent.
