We had a very good time having a breakfast in this place. This is the first time I have been there. Very good ambiance and very tasty food also. Coffee is excellent. Idli is also nice. Though we makes all these in our home, but you can have the same homily taste here. Thanks. Keepup your standard. Blessings

One of the veg restaurants, where you get normal sambhar. But the price is a little higher.

Good Restaurant. Authentic Tamil Nadu style Food, snacks (Tiffins) & Coffee. They serve Fresh, Hot & Delicious Food. They do have a sweet shop attached to the restaurant & they sell sweets made from Jaggery & they are delicious

The best coffee and rava kesari. Dosa had a tad much extra ghee. But the chutneys and sambar were out of the world. The right amount of sweet and spicy.

The place is usually very crowded on weekends, but if you reach here byb9 am in the morning you don't need to wait in the line.
All their food items in the menu are super delicious. We usually take Pongal, ghee roast dosa, Upma and coffee. Their podi powder is really good. Which you can also buy from their store nearby
The sitting area is open along with the kitchen, so you get to see your food freshly made.
Few attenders will continuously roam around with the chatni and Sambhar and serve you before your plate gets empty.
Another good thing about plate is that they don't use plates, rather coconut leaves to serve the food and eat from.
Very clean and tidy. Must visit to experience it all.

Good food, our favorite place for weekend lunch/ brunch. South indian meal is scrumptious, and the best part is that it is unlimited.

I ordered online twice both the times the coffee and tea was horrible. Infact some of us even vomitted. How can you serve such low standard items when you charge so much.

If we want to try typical tamil nadu style food, this is the best restaurant in this area.

Initially, I had little hopes before entering on cleanliness and tastewise. After entering inside and having food, everything changes.

It's a prepaid restaurant where you take the token on what u want to have, then give it to people for servicing, and they will get u items.

"TFC family dosa a must try " - 4ft masala dosa, can have by 4 people.

I went with family on Sunday without knowing family dosa is not served. Initially, the guy refused to give a token for the family dosa. Later, he checked with chefs and then given token.

The taste of this dosa is really different, I have never tasted this kind of masala in any other restaurant.

Chutney and sambar are really excellent in taste. We can keep eating that without the main dish.

They serve in well cleaned banana leaf, keep serving Chutney unlimited.
Have a lot of options to eat. Definitely, I will go often to try each dish every time.

Water is filled in a glass jug, which is crystal clear. U no need to buy water bottles like other restaurants.

I would have given 4/5 star on the basis of my first visit. But second visit was very disappointing, and so 1 star.

On both my visits ordered ghee podi dosa, as I liked it very much during my first visit. However, during my second visit, when I ordered it again, the dosa was just full of salt. Every bite was like I was eating a spoonful of salt and nothing else. I informed the same to the authorities, however they just listened and hardly took any interest, as they were busy managing the sunday night crowds waiting for their turn.

This experience is telling me few things:
- the food taste is not consistent at all
- they do not care about quality, when they get overloaded with orders

P. S.the chutney, sambar was good as usual, and hence 1 star, else would have given 0 star.

Hoping this review will make the eatery correct some basic stuffs going forward, and hope my next visit should be a good one.

Had a disappointing experience. The cost is like that of fine dining, service is like that of a udupi restaurant and attitude like a road side pani puri seller. Weird billing rule, you need to get it from pre paid counter outside, then you can't order once you start eating.the owner (looks like) is extremely rude and only focus on money and not service. Food taste is average for that cost. Never going back again!
Service charge extra at 5%! And they don't display this anywhere. I don't understand why people crowd this place

Too crowded for breakfast, bill is not given on the table, you won't know the amount unless you go to the cash counter.
Tiffin items are really good however the lunch i had on 14th march 2021 is really bad, and you need to buy the food coupon prior from the cash counter. Too many items but very bad quality. We were 5 adults abd 2 kids, none of us liked the lunch and maybe thats why lduring lunchtime it was not crowded at all unlike during breakfast or dinner.

Food is amazing. We liked all the dishes we ordered except for semiya lemon upma. You get good oil free vada, crispy dosa

I love the south Indian breakfast here especially the idlis and vadas with Sambar. The dosa still need to improve to match the ones served by other authentic restaurants (tamilian ones specifically, I am not a big fan of dosas served by darshinis in Bangalore).
I also have had their lunches but for some reason I experiences bloating of my stomach (some soda effect?).
Overall 4 star and a good and clean restaurant to try out in this vicinity for a south Indian breakfast.

Authentic Tamil Nadu style, South Indian Restaurant. Fantastic food. Can try anything from the menu, you will enjoy. It has open kitchen no Airconditioning so will be little hot during the day. Ambience is great and modern. Loved it.

Good, tasty real Chennai taste. Unfortunately the service at the restaurant is completely disorganised. The serving staff seems to have no clue on what's happening. Couple of days ago three of us went for lunch. Seated att the table for 25 min, no one even turned up to place the banana leaf No, it was not crowded. We left the place and headed for a2b. Its a clear case of poor training. In the hospitality inustry, promptness and organised service is a must. Tasty food is only a part of it. Now I prefer my order through swiggy, nevermind if it's 30 min, but I am sure it will arrive and won't feel left out

Authentic tamilian Breakfast in a very hygienic setup. Must go for any idli dosa lover. The best item in the menu is the hot hot crispy vada.
Must try their intense filter coffee and the several variants that are available.

Awesome Tamilnadu cuisine found in Bangalore the place will take you to experience the heat of Chennai, while letting you quickly finish dosas and idlis. A very different seating with lot of movement of people rushing with orders

Pathetic service. The service staff seem to be in their own world. Asked for tea before breakfast which never came even after breakfast.while billing when I ask them to cancel the tea.he asks. “Where is the tea sir!? ” Asked for Vada and the server says.it will take time sir. The next moment vada is served on another table and when I check he says. Vada ready sir. Not keen to serve type people. Food is tasty. A little over priced though but will run for the ambience.
But for this kind of lousy staff.god help them. No value for your money!

Good and tasty food. Good choice of South Indian menu and north indian menus. The meal options are very good. Specially the full meal with options of roti or puri. I enjoyed the Rawa dosa & the North Indian meals. Very good options are there a value for money. Idly vada rice bath Coffee & tea are very well prepared smells awesome. Service was good Ambience was good. Hygiene was best. Over all satisfied with the place, Good place with commercial area and consistent of public timing transportation all the facilities on the go. The road are good but the vehicles are more so many time there is a traffic jam. But to overcome this there are lots of traffic light and junction to control the area's traffic level.

This is the first time after moving to the new location I've come.
Everything from good in the old location has turned pathetic.the food the taste the service.
I had to ask for drinking water. The server drops the spoon on the ground and uses the same for chutney. Only after we advising he changed it. Chutney was smelling.never going to come back here

A place which is styled to eat around the kitchen. Hot Food will be served while you can enjoy watching it made live in front of you.
Inside seating is also available.
Food tastes good. Recommended is Dosa and pongal.

Very good tamilnadu veg tiffens / lunch in kalyan nagar, banasawadi, bangalore. No AC, food on plaintan leaf, Very good ambience, service is good, but need to improve during rush.

A place competitive to suksagars and adigas of the city. Have a unqiue experience in dining in front of the kitchen. This branch at HBR has a good seating capacity and service is quick. Hershleys Dosa is for those with sweettooth. Pongal was good authentic taste. Serving in banana leaf adds taste to dining experience! Will need try out their lunch menu yet.

The Food - Style is Authentic Tamil Nadu but taste is not. Taste is poorer than a simple road side outlet you would find on TN highway. Chutneys were bland and Sambar was ok. But still way below the mark. Anyone calling this food as authentic have not tried the breadth and width of TN cuisine, certainly not at homes or famous outlets. Oh and my banana leaf was torn and black on the side.
The Serving - The guys hired to serve people have no clue about the language of the food or what you tell them. My dosa was served wrongly as the waiter didn't even care what was being prepared in the live counter.
The Coffee - Sorry to say, their Filter coffee is the worst I've had in this year. For the same price, you can get two ripper of filter coffees elsewhere. Again, the guy making it had no clue what he was doing.
The Hospitality - It is crowded and I couldn't understand why. May be everyone who came wanted to try this place for first time. But certainly not worth a second visit. It gets crowded, so be prepared to wait. And you will be denied parcel service during busy hours as were 5 customers when I was paying my bill. Also, there are less number of servers and they are running around in chaos, not being able to cope up with the crowd. I've worked as a server in high crowd situations and this is not how it is done. And for heaven's sake please teach the servers the basic knowledge about varieties of dosa that you serve.
Parking - Available when not crowded
Price - Reasonable, if you are tricked into believing that this food is authentic.
Pros - A Dosa Master who knows to Make proper dosa
Cons - Waiters who dont have a clue about South Indian food

Very bad experience. The time they take to take an order is just preposterous. Then the time to get an order is even worse. Absolutely pathetic. And also one more thing about them making kuthu parotha is just obnoxious. The loud sound is just a bad customer experience. And annoying.

The food is little cheap and quality is good. A must try. Also during weekends, you have to be little early or else the place will be crowded and some dishes won't be available too

Authentic Tamil Nadu cuisine with a novel concept of a teppanyaki style of service added to the regular dining. Great taste, service, it's become too crowded, understandable, given the great taste. I liked the old place more given the convenience of parking spaces. The new location is more accessible but not as comfortable as the older one near Jal Vayu Vihar. Recommend the owners to keep a tab on the taste and service as they are going up as I can sense my favorite breakfast restaurant slipping a bit after the move to the new location.

Nice and different setup. Have been there many times but almost all of the times was disappointed with the service level. Have to constantly remind our pending order.it has been a unpleasant experience. Adding to that you have to listen to the manager constantly yell at the staff. Hope they improve their service as I like the food there.

2. Only street parking so better to avoid going here by 4 wheeler
3.2 wheeler can be parked on streets.
4. Saturday and Sunday after 7 PM is really a busy business hours and hence you will have to wait a long to get table.
5. Decent pricing and wouldn't pinch much as other restaurant in same place.
6. Tastes authentic Tamizh nadu Food.
7. If you go in peak hours chances of reminding about order is high.
8. Available in swiggy but I guess the pricing is different from dine in and Swiggy.
9. Food is served in Banana Leaf which is an appreciable point

Lovely food, nice experience. Only feedback is food gets delayed, waiters don't see you and busy with Gods knows what reasons. Or else I would give 5 stars

Very bad experience, quality of food is degraded.
And moreover so much annoying with Kotthu parota making sound, when I asked till anybody expressed, can't they consider other people experience. Answer is it's their signature dish and not possible to make with less sound. Then better to change the name from "the filter coffee". By the way Coffee also not great. Won't deserve the name.

Was confused what this place is. Is it a dinner in or a transit dhabha!? One orders, a slip is put on your table with the order. As you order the slip is filled in with subsequent orders. After your meal you are supposed to go stand at cashier, waiting, pay and leave! In this age, in a city!? This was jarring to me!

A much needed place in this neighborhood. Healthy food at very reasonable prices, compared to the low priced but high soda content food in all the Udupi restaurants around. Thank you for existing guys:)

I often visit this wonderful place during mornings. The food is good - can always come back to the dosas, vada, idlli, chutneys and many more. Food is served on a banana leaf, that just transports me to back to a warm place. The settings and decor is very kitcheny and it just seems very satisfactory. Value for money indeed! A shout out to the staff for keeping the place clean, ensuring good & quick service. Parking is a problem though, and tge location is right near the road - which is perfect! Keep up the good work!

Come only if you willing to "WAIT" first for seat, then for leaf, then for chutney, finally for idli.but wait you still need to wait for spoons, water has still not come. When will I get the vada I ordered, sorry I am supposed to wait, at this rate bill will take ages, but who knows about my order. I get receipt but I still have to wait in que to make payment. By the way coffee will be served in another waiting room. So The filter coffee waiting room will be a more appropriate name, the whole service is horrible and overall experience torturous, not worth the "WAIT" even for the decent idli being served. The owner cum WAITER makes things worse with her arrogance

Must Visit - for South Indian vegetarian lovers. The place is always full on weekends. Also better to be early, as some of the items on the menu will not be available post 8.30pm. The service is very personalized. The senior staff hang around the tables making conversation. Great place to hangout with friends and family.

The counter facility at filter coffee is amazing and a different experience. Food is tasty with good South Indian snacks. Billing system need to improve and make way for digital payments like Gpay.

Value for money -0 out of 10, service 2/10, ambience 9/10, taste 5/10.the meals are not worth the money value. I have tried the same meals in Jayanagar, Ibrahim Sahib street and also in Kerala, TN, and AP. Here its outright cheating. I think they are adding baking soda into the meals.

The worst place to eat breakfast, if it was my first experience then this review is not valid. It's my thenth or more that I have been to both their outlets. Food is excellent, I agree. The service and the time is worse than the most local so called 5star places that I know or heard of. It's like the servers are doing you a favour or the restaurant itself is doing you a favour by serving. I don't have to pay to be treated like this, I rather eat with businesses close by like other chains who are atleast clear of what they do. Somebody tried and it clicked lol, but you cannot open 20 outlets because it clicked. Place sucks

If you are looking at tamilnadu style idly vada, dosa, this is the place. You get to see the cook right in front of your eyes and food will be served. The only hitch is you need to wait for a seat during breakfast time and on holidays. You get very good filter coffee.

Feel of a highway restaurant in the city! Good south indian snacks and meals. Snack bar seating is unique. Separate coffee bar.very earthen and old Bangalore feeling!

The worst experience ever. In the name of podai, they were serving some light yellow coloured filling in the dosa. The owner was an arrogant woman who refused to admit that the food being served was not authentic South Indian. The service was super slow and the food cold. Had to walk out as the taste of food was unbearable. Avoid if you don't want to spoil your mood and your money

Good wholesome food overall, but not really great. Too pricey and the food falls short of justifying it. Coffee is good. Expected better taste with the meals. The avial, the sambar, rasam all disappoint to some extent.
