It's a wonderful experiance staying here. It's peaceful, quite and they have simplicity in everything. Let it be Room or Food it was very nice. Staff behavior is very good. They nicely explained everything and served everything on time.

Food is out of the world. It is simple homely, less oil and masala not like other typical restaurants. Any specific food or arrangement can be made based on request. Please check with the manager before it.

The place is sourrounded coffee plantation and long trees. Through out you can hear to differnt birds chirping. Also can see peacock opposite to the homestay.
On request arrangements can be made to visit nearby places.

IRA homes is a a real homestay. You will love it. It is a definite option when all uou need is peace and calm with home made food.

Highly recommended if you are planning to visit Chickmagalur. Clean, quiet and beautiful place with very good food. Staff here are very polite, they try to serve their customers to the best of their ability.

The property is very nice and it is surrounded by scenic views. The host Ganesh is really amazing and takes care of everything during the stay. The improvement area is the food.

Nice place to stay in Chikmagalur, nice rooms and affordable prices. Location is good and a bit difficult to reach as there are no proper signboards. Need to upgrade them. Nice staff and food is good.

Very good homestay. We spent 1 night here and it was a wonderful experience. It's located in a very peaceful location with coffee plantations all around. The rooms are clean and organized very well. The food is also very delicious. The staff is very cooperative and friendly. Hot water is available 24 hours. High speed wifi is also available. All tourist attractions are nearby from this place. I will definitely visit this place again.

Even though number of varieties is less, Food was tasty. Rooms were clean and well maintained. Ambiance was peaceful and the campfire was good. Cost was optimum. They have provided what they have promised.

Wonderful Cottages in Chikamagalur.
We stayed here on 5th and 6th Oct (2nights) with family and kids. Property is very clean and well maintained. Great hospitality and friendly staff, also ample space for car parking, easily access to all major sightseeing’s.

Initial 100mtrs of approach road to property is slightly bad, it’s slightly upside with small bumpy road. Can’t blame resort for this but may be nearby resorts can join hands and fix this road for betterment of overall public and guest.

They have a big lawn right in front of cottages where kids can play around. They provide badminton, carrom board, volleyball to play & 3 times meals provided was very delicious. 24hrs gas geyser available for hot water anytime.

Property Owner Mr. Deepak is very kind and genuine person. He is very professional and take care of the guest booking process very effectively.

Mr. Umesh is the property incharge and manager. He is the one who makes us feel home away from home. He is very generous and warm welcoming always. Time on time he use to check what is required for guest and always made sure all guests are happy and provided tea, coffee, snacks foods etc, with wholeheartedly. My special thanks to Mr. Umesh

Stayed one night with my team. Very cozy place nestled between coffee plantations and silver Oak trees.

Great location, clean rooms, humble staffs and best thing is varities of foods including starters and snacks with tea. Most of the visiting places are nearby to this homestay.

Nice place in middle off tea estate it's gives you a living in jungle feel and good space and nice view from windows and only thing is the road was not good from main road so if you traveling with hired taxi they will charge more due to road issue and management is good like responding but staff there is not supportive and they will not responsive apart from staff and management location is awesome and rooms also good but beds are like concrete beds it's very hards beds

Close to the city (CKM) yet away from all the hustle n bustle. Nice local staff who prepared variety of dishes. Reasonable price. Both family and bachelor's can enjoy the stay.

I stayed at this location. Nicely positioned between mullayana giri and kemmannu Gundi road (near to mullayana giri).

Shabby linens and totally unclean Rooms!

The area where we gather for food is kept in open so when it's rainy and windy it's difficult to have food there.

The plates and spoons weren't clean.

You can visit here only with friends and not with family!

I had been there for 31st July weekend to celebrate my husband's birthday nd I found it to be the best homestay and home alike food. Ambience was good with spacious rooms. It's worthy for the price. Umesh was so approachable with everything. Must visit homestay.

The rooms were neat and clean.
The food was excellent specially the chicken kebab. Breakfast also too good. Mr. Umesh took care of all our needs very promptly.
IRA homestay is much recommended place where one can travel with family or friends. Kids would enjoy to play in the lawn infront of the cottages.
Overall our stay was very comfortable.

We had one of the best experience in Ira's Homestay. It was indeed a beautiful place for a 2 nights trip in Chikamangaluru. The food was delicious, especially the dosa, chicken biryani and daal. The huts we lived in were quite spacious and very well maintained. Also, the staff was extremely courteous. Umesh, the manager and Ramesh the cook were genuinely kind and they were the best host's.
I highly recommend this place to all, if you are planning a one or a 2 night trip in Chikamangaluru.

We, 5 friends planned a quick get together in Chikamgalur and selected IRA homestay. The stay was good, Food is good, Overall everything is good and fine. Homestay is very near (just 500m) to main road, that is the plus point. Near to city center also. I recommend this to all category people, be it friends, copulas, family. Very good young and supportive staffs lead by Mr. Umesh, Manager of the property.

Nice cottages. Food is very good. We were a group of 10.
The road from main road to the homestay is muddy. We had a Tempo Traveller and yet went till the cottages but in rainy season it might be very difficult to drive till the cottage. Overall nice stay and nice place

Rooms, bathrooms were hygiene. All kind of games available like chess, carrom, volleyball, badminton etc.peaceful ambiance.
Coming to sad part - food. Variety is so less that even we need to pay extra for starters. Under non veg, for lunch and dinner only chicken curry chapati white rice. Curry is for both rice and chapati. Nothing extra. And one sweet. And for Breakfast Upma and idly were available. Boring Breakfast. Taste is not ok. Below average.
Disappointing is for starters per kg chicken 600 extra we have to pay. I really don’t recommend this place for foodies.

Situated midst of Coffee Estates in Lakshmipura, Kaimara-Chikmagalūr, Ira Homestays is fully equipped to handle family, friends and couples. We chose a dorm accommodation for the family. However, I saw visitors with tent stays which impressed me personally.

The home stay offers both veg and non-veg food (buffet). South Indian- must try and taste food. The hospitality was extraordinary. Mr. Ram Charan who coordinated with us from Bangalore was an excellent host. Umesh Anna made our stay cozy and comfortable in Ira. They also helped us with planning and local travel.

The place was amidst nature, peaceful and serene. We had real fun and good experience from check in to check out. Would love to visit again.

Had a brilliant stay. Cannot fault hotel. It was clean, good location, served a great breakfast, lunch and dinner too the staff were extremely helpful. Would definitely recommend and would certainly stay here again.

Awesome experience.had booked the stay 9 months back but couldn't visit at that time. Mr. Rakesh the owner of the place was so understanding and helpful that he reserved that booking for us and told us to visit anytime.and finally we could make it this month and it was worth the wait.it was an awesome experience overall.the owners are fully involved in the service part and didn't give us any chance to complaint for anything.we just loved the whole experience staying in IRA homestay and would surely recommend to everyone. When I booked the stay I thought prices are bit higher side but after visiting the homestay felt happy. Rooms are very well maintained and food and starters are too good. Near to Mullayanagiri and most of th tourists places.we could able cover many places which are 20-30 min distance from Homestay. Rooms are perfectly maintained and Malnad food was delicious. Overall It was nice experience. Thank u guys.
