The Kaduhithlu Resort - Sakleshpur

The resort is completely encompassed with nature. Serene with greenery and a stream flows through the resort, which makes it even more attractive. The food was native style and tasty too. The staff were helpful and special thanks to Ms. Archana for always being there even for the smallest requirements.

The place is ultimate, just below saalugudda.one who values the nature & it's serenity must visit this place.been there twice, though some alterations are under process, the nature & the hospitality by the down to earth staff is heart touching.food is amazing, it's regional & fresh food, hence I loved it. The manager Ms Archana is a fabulous lady with so much positivity in her. I loved the way she handled all our concerns with a great smile. She also fed my young kids with so much love. All the staffs were so so warm.

We, 16 of us visited this beautiful, nature friendly resort for a couple of days. The staffs were very polite and friendly. Food was homely and tasty. Ms. Archana was very cordial and made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was an amazing experience for all of us. The cottages and wash rooms were neat and clean. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Unprofessional host Mr Kalyan will make sure that the stay is not pleasant and comfortable. Please do not visit in case you want a happy vacation with family and friends.

Extremely disgraceful service provider. Visit this place only if you want feel insulted. He cancelled our office trip in the last minute for no reason. Short tempered host with no hospitality.

A resort like experience at a homestay. A water stream, natural pool, a small mountain trek makes it a refreshing stay.

Head weight owner, Mr. Kalyan, thinks guests are at their mercy.highly unprofessional and unfit for the hospitality industry.

For people willing to go by the review and ratings, you can book with them, but you need to keep your fingers crossed for the comfortable stay else they can ruin your vacation and plans. Never encountered such a fickle minded hotel incharge.

We two families had a great couple of night stays at Kaduhithlu resort. It was an amazingly pleasant experience. It is great in terms of amazing location midst of the nature, peaceful and close to nature, delicious homely variety of quality food, hygienic rooms with very good view points from inside, a great hospitality from Kalyan. There is a lot of green space with variety of fun activities. A great place for hangout and explore.

Hosts (Shwetha & Kalyan) took excellent care of us and were quite accommodating to many of our requests. Network Connectivity is the only concern here. Food was amazing.

What really warmed our hearts though was the exceptional hosting provided by Kalyan and Shweta. They are such lovely, amazing people. They made our stay so relaxed by looking out for us throughout. That felt great!

The food was healthy and tasted exactly like home made food. Even the pickiest people were full of praise for the tasty, yummy, delightful spread offered! Kalyan and Shweta went above and beyond to ensure that every meal they served was a taste of Home in the middle of a dense forest. The same care, the same nurture, and the same delight! Hats off guys!

We had got a 6 sharing tent. The room was clean, with attached bathroom along with a geyser. Right infront of the room was a small stream flowing. You step out of the room to see a beautiful landscape of the main kitchen area with a hill in the background.

This place is run by a ruthless fellow and no co ordination between the booking agency (Makemytrip). After confirmation of booking I travelled along with my family to sakleshpur. But after reaching there I was surprised to hear from them that room is not vacant and they didn’t agree with MMT booking. Also The resort is not well maintained and looked very dirty. It is not at all worth of money. Only fake videos are there. In YouTube showing pleasant things. Be aware don’t get cheated by such places. Pls book only after knowing through some known persons

Extremely beautiful location with valley on one side and estate on the other. Food was very good and tasty. We visited during the monsoon and it was raining mostly. It's the best time to see Western ghats if you can bear the monsoon and learn to embrace it.

Super place for the family outing. Food is very good, tasty and varieties. The approach road of Hassan and Sakleshpura is very bad and not motorable at present. We returned via Belur.

Unforgettable experience.
It was our first weekend getaway from Bangalore after lockdown. After a little search found Kaduhithlu on facebook with a lucrative package & we instantly booked ourselves for the coming weekend. I knew that the property was known for its gorgeous views & cottages. We reached around noon & was happy to observe that they practiced all safety measures in regards to covid. The coffee plantation view has quite impressed me. This I saw very few or no other 5-star around Sakleshpur, till date. Post check-in, we straight went ahead to have lunch.
Being foodies, my husband and I could not thank the staff enough for the way they took care of us & charmed us with their gastronomical delights. Crispy Vada, Yummy Neer dosa, drooling chicken & fish dishes are a must try. In one word, when it comes to food experience here you will be spoilt for choice.

Now coming to the property, it is spread across 8 acres of plantation. It is very neatly maintained. I found 2 natural ponds and one waterfall inside the property. With lots of instagrammable spots, to get some amazing selfies and clicks. There are stone benches, where you can just laze and look out at the valley below. We kept walking around the property and that itself felt like a beautiful trek. Just couldn't stop showcasing where we were to my friends.

The beauty of this place cannot be described in words. The best mountain view so far, I have ever seen in Sakleshpur.

The food had to be the highlight of our trip. The variety of dishes and quality of food made us all over eat. The taste was very authentic with a touch of malnad cuisine.
The landscaping and the mountain view are also amazing. I loved the view from our room, and every room had a breathtaking view. Felt like a part of nature, away from non-natural things.
The service and hospitality also made the experience wonderful. We were very happy and content with our trip and would definitely visit once again. It is one of the best girls friendly home away from home destination.

If you are yearning for sometime with mother nature and your friends or family members amidst some warm hospitality, this has to be the place you should stay at. Locating is perfect and so are the hosts who woundnt say a "No" for anything.

The Malnad style food and the variety was so good, all of us left the place wishing for some more.

The property is spread across 8 acres of lush greenery. Home to variety of fruits and fauna and lots to do for kids and adults alike. Natural pool is a must try.

The guided trek to the adjoining hill is an activity you shouldn't miss for anything.

Am definitely gonna come back. Really appreciate the efforts put in by the super hosts in making our two nights stay comfortable.

The only improvement i would like to see when i visit next, is that the cottages have a larger table and may be a wardrobe to keep your stuff.

The Kaduhithlu refers to the Forest Backyard which is apt for the location the property is situated at. The property is not crowded and has only 6 cottages giving space for every check-in guests

This place is a unique combination of nature and breathtaking view, the calming silence of the hills, chirping birds and the rustle of leaves is kind of Therapy you can experience away from city’s hustle and bustle!

Food is finger licking good, we still cannot stop thinking about the delicious food!

Definitely, a must visit and we personally would keep coming back to this place for sure. Worth every penny spent!

Beautiful Homestay:
If you are planning for a quick travel around Sakleshpur and looking for a stay, its just no-brainer task. Kaduhithlu is one the finest place to stay with scrumptious spread of lip-smacking food. Initially we thought Rs 3500 is slightly expensive per person compared to other accommodations like we always think when its a family outing. But trust me, we owe more than this for the hospitality, food, quality and cleanliness we experienced at The Kaduhithlu. The owners run this home-stay with non-commercial practice. They are very passionate the way they operate and very much care of their guests as family. Added attractions were - sunset point, trek, spent good time in the stream flowing across the property. I am sure most of you will be worked up about finding the right place after pandemic and Kaduhithlu is the best bet for you to plan.

Plantation Stay - Kaduhithlu

I stayed at this fantastic property with my family and friends a few weeks back, and I can confidently say we were all very surprised by the quality of the facility, the attention to detail on everything, and most importantly the level of hospitality. Each of our request was handled with utmost attention and compassion. We travel the world looking for memorable experiences, but this one is right here in Sakleshpur!

The property is lush green and very open. As close to nature as one can imagine. We stayed at the Garden View cottage. The best part is the property has only 6 cottages and hence got the chance to book the entire place for two nights.

I must acknowledge, we met one of the best hosts. They treated us like a guest in their own house, and ensured we have a comfortable stay and a very memorable vacation.

An excellent stay
We are a family of 3 enjoyed our stay at Kaduhithlu. Service is beyond impeccable, and all Covid safety measures were followed. We stayed in the valley view cottage, which is good for 3 guests. Our cottage had a great view of greenery and mountains in the distance. We spotted so many birds from the balcony.

Kaduhithlu has plenty of activities like a coffee plantation walk, bird-watching, treks, sunset point near-by and good space for cricket, footaball and volleyball fans. The property itself is 8 acres in size, full of vast expanses of trees and coffee plantations. Their greenary is beautiful and completely captures the essence of mother nature. Do not miss the 6: 30 am trek - you'll see misty mountains and perfect unspoiled trails.

A quick comment on the food - every meal, every dish was excellent. Special mention to their Neer Dosa & Crispy Vadas served for breakfast

Kaduhithlu is highly recommended. You cannot go wrong with this resort. It is one of the best places I've ever stayed at!

“Grass is greener on the other side” may not be true for The Kaduhithlu Resort team.

I might want to call this “Ajji Mane (Granny’s home). It is the hospitality of Mrs. Shwetha Kalyan and Mr. Kalyan which makes me call it so. And, ofcourse the delicious home cooked Malnad style food.

There’s a peak close to Kaduhithlu which is about 40 minutes trek. Kalyan dropped us to the footsteps of this hill and also one of their team members accompanied us to guide.

The place in itself has a good view with mountains on one side, plenty of trees, waterfall and a natural pool inside the property. There’re other activities for kids too - trampoline, cricket, volley ball, etc. Bonfire too!

Shwetha, a nature conservationist in her own capacities, plants two trees if a tree is fallen due to heavy winds. And, Mr. Kalyan is gentleman with great culinary skills. They’re a great team who own and manage this beautiful place. I would love to go back to Kaduhithlu with my family and friends again!

Real good stay. Its a heaven on earth and a serene place to hangout. Had been with friends last week and enjoyed every bit of it, be it the nature, hospitality, Kalyan and his family made our stay a real memorable one. Weather was awesome cool, most attractive was the natural pool and the stream running with in the property. The sound of the stream makes u tranquilized at every stage. Food is even more tranquilizing. Love to visit this place again and highly recommended. Had I stayed for another day, I would never want to checkout, its so sedating and u r high even without any sip of alcohol. Thanks to Kalyan and team for hassle free stay. They honored all our petty requests with great zeal. Overall it was good. Loved the trekking, very safe and trekkable path. Arjun will not mind taking u any number of times. Keep it up team

We stayed in Kaduhitlu for 3 nights, it's a very nice place. The resort is spread across 8 acres, has 6 cottages, each cottage can accomodate 3 persons each. The cottages are spread apart and each cottage is at a higher elevation than the previous one. The cottages are maintained neat and clean.
The resort has outdoor games like cricket, football, volleyball, indoor games TT, etc. The main highlight is the naturally filtered pool or pond. The water to this pool flows from a stream from the top of the hill and is continuously flowing out as well, so there is a continuous flow of water. The water on the top may look little muddy or slight green, but the water is quite clean once you get in. The Pool is close to 6.5 feet deep at center, there are life jackets also.
There is a small falls also inside the resort, and a stream of water continuously flows through the place.
The guests on the place is personally attended by Kalyan and his sister Swetha who personally take care of all your needs.
The food is excellent, personally cooked by Kalyan himself. The complete landscape and the water stream, natural pool is all the brain child of Swetha.
There is a small trek which can be done, takes 30 mins to the peak, and has a very nice view from the top.
This is a nice place to spend time with family and friends.

One of the Best Place to Stay in Sakleshpur
We were 3 Couples visited The Kaduhithlu Resort on October 01st week, from the check-in to till check-out everything was perfect and planned nicely for guest service. A truly amazing experience to be at the beautiful - The Kaduhithlu Resort. The maintenance of the entire resort was so amazing, the food, the ambience, the friendly hosts - everything was perfect.

We would recommend this resort to everyone who plans to visit Sakleshpur.

One of the Best Resort/Homestays in sakleshpur-

We stayed at the Kaduhithlu (Oct 21st & 22nd). The overall stay experience was quite pleasant.
This place is worth the stay in every way. The place is about 20+kms to Chikmagalur.safe roads. The road to the place passes through a beautiful landscape. Best choice for couples, family & friends.

The owners are quite helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, the food is homely. Great service and very accommodating. Food was delicious (must try - neer dosa, chicken, different chutneys, kadubu & fish). I Will recommend this place if you want a break, enjoy the weather.
The coffee is soulful and people are warm. They did give us a map of places to visit near by and suggested how to get around.

Experiential Stay
It was an overall good experience.
The resort was operational just a few days ago and they followed all COVID 19 norms, kept sanitizing the place often, and social distancing was maintained. Food was awesome and the location of the resort is apt and valley view can be seen from everywhere. Serene place and road towards the resort were filled with greenery.

A happy, monsoon stay
The very first glimpse of the resort, beauty strikes the heart right there.
We had a beautiful 3 day 2 night stay at The Kaduhithlu - Sakleshpur. We got the room with a mountain view, and you can hear water gushing through the stream. The best part with the property is limited reservations they take due to Covid and has aligned with good precautionary measures.

We were a group of 18 pax, and we were given all the 6 cottages, during the booking we were told the property will be entirely blocked for us and no further bookings will be taken, a feel good factor already. During the stay each and every person in the group had spent their best moments with respect to nature, activities and never to miss homely food and the trek of course. Thank you guys for the great hospitality and making our stay a lifetime memorable one. I shall highly recommend this place. We shall visit you soon.

The place is good, but the hospitality and food are average. Food again depends on ppl who are eating it, as the taste will be different. Except for chapati, other items were average. There was only one item with chicken and most ppl in our group dint like it. The food is not served on the time as they don’t have help. You don’t have much activities to do. It’s pretty expensive for what they are delivering and there are other resorts with more value for money. I forgot to mention, the guy needs to be more welcoming and smiling.

We, a family of 13 members had visited Kaduhithlu on 28-07-2018. It was a very memorable experience. The homestay is simply brilliant with lush greenery all around. Its exactly opposite to mountains & a stream flows through the homestay. Outdoor games amidst the nature was refreshing & the Food was very delicious. The owners Kalyan & Shwetha are very sweet people. Any assistance, they are at your disposal right away. There’s an amazing trek point close to the homestay. Overall It was one fantastic experience:)

Those are the 4 things that come to my mind when I vacationed at Kaduhithlu, what more can I ask for while on vacation? Well as a matter of fact staff at Kaduhithlu obliged every request that we asked for and believe me with 2 kids requests are endless! I was taken aback by the polite nature of the staff at Kaduhithlu. It is a perfect destination for vacation. Coming from Phoenix, more a desert to a lushy and green landscape at Kaduhithlu makes you never want to leave the place! Food was spot on, I probably would have gained extra couple of pounds in the 3 days I stayed here. My kids who are picky enjoyed the food spread at breakfast, lunch and dinner! This is a beautiful vacation spot that everyone should take advantage of. Rest assured you will be ready for work after the pampered stay at Kaduhithlu. My sincere thanks to Kalyan who made our stay beautiful and for going the extra mile to make us feel at home. Hope to come back again in the near future.
