The Mist Homestay Mudigere

This is the worst homestay I've ever visited. I would call it as a scam. Only location is good, other than location, nothing else, no proper management, blood strains all over the room, no water to bath.and owner is very horrible and rude. Plz don't suggest this to anyone. Waste of money.

Food was quite good. Service was bad. No running water, owner was quite rude. Experience was bad.

Apart from the view, I did not like much about the place.the entry path is not in good condition, there was no cook, any food or water whatever you need had to be procured from the town.

It was a terrible stay. Frequent change of staffs, especially cook made it even more unpleasant. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even though pictures look good, overall it was a bad experience!

One of the best home stay ever seen. Had wonderful time with family. It is very beautiful place and well maintained.

The roads are really bad and the cooking is bad as well and the maintenance of the kitchen is worst and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The Homestay is in a beautiful location & has very mesmerizing scenery early morning during sunrise.
* There is no proper management, no proper amminities provided, No hot water, No tv, No electricity while rain, No ups for homestay.
* The food served here is very pathetic, No proper cook, No Proper meal is served and very bad hygiene maintained in kitchen.
* There is not a single signage showing directions to the property, the road leading to homestay is very bad, only SUVs can pass through these roads easily, other smaller cars with lesser ground clearance may get stuck.
* Never suggest this place to anyone.
* Not worth for the money paid.

One of the worst homestay visited in mudigere ever. The management is useless, food is worst, everyone got stomach upset, except the location everything is worst, will give 0 out of 5 star rating. It’s not couple friendly. Will not suggest or recommend to anyone.

The Mist Homestay in Mudigere is in a beautiful location surrounded by hills and coffee estates in a scenic valley. The facilities are new and some of them like light fittings and sanitary fittings are yet to be completed. They have converted and given facelift to a farm house. The location is really good and very mesmerizing scenery early morning during sunrise.
The positive side of the facility is the food. The food cooked and provided are very tasty and yummy. The cook is really good and the food items are very good and tasty. Though there was little delay in preparing, even though not many people were there, the taste of the food items could nullify the drawback.
Unfortunately these are some shortcomings
- There is not a single signage showing directions and leading customers to the property
- The muddy single roads are narrow
- Inspite of information given about approaching the property nobody was there to receive and guide to the location.
- The muddy roads in very bad condition, only SUVs can pass through these roads, other smaller cars with lesser ground clearance will get stuck.
- Reaching the facility after darkness will be more difficult if they don't provide proper guidance
- The conditions could be more horrible in rainy season.
Probably considering the conditions cited above, the cost could be slightly higher barring the food. The boys are really very courteous and customer-friendly.

Worst management and careless staff, Unhygienic kitchen with bloodstains inside the fridge. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

This place is easily in the top 3 of the worst places I've ever visited. To start it off there is no proper management whatsoever, this place doesn't hv a permanent chef, they hire chef according to the guests, we had the opportunity to taste worst dishes from 2 different chefs within our 3 day stay, the food was very poor, both the chef's cleary din hv the idea of wat they were doing, there is frequent power cuts at the place and each and every time we hv to keep begging the person there to turn on the generator as if like he's doing a favour on us inspite of us paying them and giving them business, the owner isn't arsed abt the place or how the ppl over here are running it, whenever we had an issue and trust me we had tons of it, we used to call the owner as there was no one responding to us at the homestay and the owner would ask us to video call him to make sure that we r telling him the truth as if we'd lie abt our terrible experience, clearly the owner isn't fit to run this place and has no idea abt ambience hospitality and how to treat guests. The kitchen was very horrible, there were blood stains all inside the fridge and when we kept our liquors inside the fridge we were shocked to see the blood stains all over our liquor bottles n cans, the kitchen counter was a complete disaster with more than 40 to 50 ingredients all together on it no organization at all, i guess the chef just used watever he got his hands on and made some dish thinking we'd hv to eat watever he gave us n we had no other choice. One of the worst possible experience ever, i hv been to a fair number of homestay and resorts around this destination but none of them were even close to how bad this place and experience was to us, completely ruined our weekend. I would suggest you ppl to spend ur hard earned money on someplace else. Don't just go to this place looking at their pics that they've put up on their Google page n Instagram, this place isn't as good as it looks on photo.

I stayed with family and friends, best place to hangout. It has positive vibes, you would get good internet connection where actually work from there.

The Mist Homestay was extremely peaceful, serene, with a beautiful sunrise, private bungalow and bonfires. The mornings are soo beautiful. You can almost touch the mist. And the food was good too.

The place was very beautiful but the last 2 or 1km road is very bad, because of this road we dropped the bike and also no name plate of the home stay to spot the home stay was difficult. The food served here is very pathetic and very bad management of the property.

Worst.there is no proper management, no hot water, no tv, salty food, it's not for money which we pay
