The Pup Cafe

We visited this place around 9.30 and it wasn't very crowded then. But the vibe in this place is amazing. One of the biggest drawback is the smell at this place due to dogs. It gives the odor similar to the name that's pup Cafe. Other than that, the taste of the icecreams that we tasted were amazing. Brownie Parfeit and Coconut Scoops which is served inside bonda shell. Both of them were amazing and it costed 350 in total. Good place to click pics for sure.

Dog lovers can spend time time.dogs have swimming pool and their parlour and having cafe too.daycare for dogs also available

The Pup Cafe was a good time. The Cafe has got a very good ambience and well groomed happy dogs playing in the dog area. The place is hygienic and serves good food at affordable prices. The staff were kind and hospitable.
Definitely a must visit with your friends and family. You can easily spend 2hrs around the dogs.

Ambience is too good. If u r a dog lover as well as a books lover. You will definitely gonna love this cafe.

If u love dogs, it is THE PLACE TO BE! They give u dog treats at a reasonable price and the joy of being around them is unparalleled!

This place is just sad. They don't take good care of the dogs. The dogs are malnourished, full of ticks and don't look comfortable at all. The AC also doesn't work very well which is not good especially for smokey the husky.
Please have some love for them and take their care, instead of just making this a business.

The pups seemed a bit sad and malnourished. They need better care. Their captivity is not helping either. Apart from that it's a good experience with the dogs. The cafe has food which is at par with other cafes in Manipal.

The cafe has a beautiful ambience.there Is a separate restaurant Area which is magical.not to mention the staff in the restaurant are extremely nice and homely.however the rating is due to the concern towards the dogs.the dogs look like they are not getting enough nourishment.when u touch them u can directly touch their ribcage and that's scary.not to mention they look down on energy. Its a beautiful concept but if the owners are reading this please please look into the dogs health.

Omgggg I love the dogs there.but few were sleeping and most of them were tired. I just love them.u must visit the place.

Nice experience. We can interact and play with the lovely dogs of various breeds for the whole day. It's the best place to relax and get away from all the stress. Also we can have a delicious meal too.

It would have been better if they had kept rescue dogs rather than having a collection of fancy dog breeds which are not even suited for this kind of weather.
The dogs look unhappy, and frankly seem tired of human interaction (probably because it's a very small place not enough for the dogs to run around).

It's definitely a beautiful concept of having a cafe with dogs, but somehow dogs aren't happy there, they keep whining all the while. Huskies are not meant to be in Indian climate, that too in udupi where temperature is really humid.and there's a dog which badly needs a haircut. Food here is pretty good. The crowd visiting the cafe is mostly youngsters. It has a Good ambience. One can easily spend 1hour or more.

Nice place to enjoy with pets. Very adorable pets. They r kept clean and well desciplined.need to use coolers for customers since it's hot during the sun hours. Restaurant is clean and looks hygienic even when pets around.we enjoyed lunch with our pet keeping beside the table.this is what exactly I wanted. Try to add North and South Indian dishes and snacks to the menu. Overall gud place for pet lovers and non pet lovers too. Lots of love n blessings to all pets there.

The dogs are not maintained well here. They are not hygienic.they look so dull.there is no proper caretaker.
But the cafe is gud.nice ambeince with music. 100 RS is the entry fee.this amount is deducted from your bill in cafe.nice place

This is a lovely place.
The pups looked healthy.
The place was very clean too.
It did not feel like a commercialized set up which is why I was never a fan of puppy cafes but this one was nothing like that.
The Ambiance here is pleasant.
The food is very good (very good indeed) and the price point is very friendly.
The music that was playing was very soulful.
The place has those Romantic soft lights perfect for your ig story!

It was a great experience. Good place for dosg lovers. Food is decent. Oreo milkshake and chilli garlic noodles are great. Ambience is very relaxing. The dogs are fun. But some of them. Seem sad. Staff is humble and helpful.

The food was oki type. But the service needs a lot of improvement. Service is really slow and no one comes to take our order we had to call the waiter instead of the waiter comming to us.

Now comming to the DOG part. The dogs are really friendly and clean. Maintenance of the animals was nice as they didn't have any bad smell. It would be better if a few more dogs are added to the collection.

Very slow service. Also there's no one to watchout the dogs properly. The customers keep on messing with the dogs, esp the puppies, even if they are sleeping and none of the staff would say anything about it.

Pup café serves good quality food, the food is really tasty. But the dogs here are not really happy. Some of them are playfull others are are very naughty and kind of scary.but totally if you are a dog lover u will love it otherwise it is not a good option. The place is very comfy and cozy. Music is just awsum. During night it looks really very beautiful. In my opinion u can visit dis place quite a good one. The thing I disliked her was service is a bit slow. Otherwise a fine place to hangout.

There is a cover charge of Rs 100 to enter - this is reimbursable on food and drink inside. The food we had was below par, but the live music was good. The play area for dogs is really hot and humid, temperatures are not really conducive for some dogs (the AC room they let the dogs in sometimes is the only salvaging point). The dogs did not seem happy, they seemed almost sick of people. There were a couple of really tiny puppers here - I wish dogs are a little older before bringing them in here. Also, instead of a security guard, please hire a professional to take care of the dogs, someone who knows dogs and nurtures them with the best level of care that they deserve.

I loved the food but the service here needs some improvement. They take too long to complete a single order and due to these reasons most of the customers are dissatisfied with the service. But other than that the taste of the food is decent. I like it since its affordable.

The idea of pup cafe is really good, the food is up to the mark. But concerned about the dogs as a animal lover. The dogs are placed in a air conditioning room without adequate ventilation. They looked very uncomfortable. Ideally when a dog is adjusted to the environment they are playfull. But here they seemed to be very uncomfortable. The room for dogs were very suffocating. Maybe if adequate spacious and ventilated rooms are provided, it would be much better. Hoping these suggestions are taken into consideration.

The selling point for the cafe is that it's a dog themed cafe where you can actually play with dogs while they prepare your order. But, since they haven't installed air conditioners. All the dogs looked so uncomfortable as they were forced to stay out in a place where they didn't even have access to fans. There were too many people trying to play with dogs at the same time and all the dogs looked so fed up as if they were held captive or something. Now, lets talk about management and food quality. Food quality was standard, the taste was good. But, due to lack of coordination between waiters and the kitchen staff. The food was served very late and that made the experience horrible. There was no coordination between waiters and the cashier, as we were asked to pay the bill by 5 different waiters after paying the bill.

If the manager can ensure that the dogs get a more comfortable environment than a cage without air-conditioners as it is the case now. I'm sure this business idea has great potential. For some dog breeds Indian Weather conditions aren't ideal (for example Husky). Also, if the manager can somehow make his team work in coordination with each other. In my opinion, the Pup cafe will be the most popular cafe in Manipal.
