One of the best restaurants to have food if you are staying in any of the resorts or home stays in 30 km radius. Trust me it’s worth the drive even if you are staying a bit far. Restaurant was super clean and served yummy food and the best part it wasn’t exorbitantly costly - being in a touristy place.
Has parking and elevator as well.
Thanks to staff for their service as they were accommodative when we requested for butter, jam etc for kids. Cleaned and prepped the table for anniversary cake cutting and provided us desert plates and spoons. Very thoughtful. Thanks

Decent and clean restaurant on the way back from Irupu falls to Virajpet/Madikeri. It is about 30mins from Irupu falls and the first good restaurant one encounters.
Tried the kodava koli curry, chicken malai kebab, and chicken dum biryani and sweet lassi. The koli curry was fine (not great) but other items were good.
Overall, this is a good place to grab a meal with lot of options including north indian dishes

Good fine dining restaurant in that area. Polite staff and good food.

Must try: Sithapal ice cream, cream of mushroom soup, Paneer Manchurian

Tandoori chicken was delicious
Mutton Rogan Josh was good
Mutton biryani was very good.
Butter kulcha was very tasty.

We ordered chilli chicken and chilli pork. It was very spicy. Both two plates each, it was very costly.

Visited today and ordered chicken manchow soup which was okay and then for starters had chicken 65 which was like some fritters with lots of fried onions and then for main course had wheat rotis and chicken kadai which had stale chicken and the taste was horrible think this will be our last visit

Spice Rack is an amazing Restaurant in Gonikopppal, Coorg. The food is absolutely well prepared and the presentation isgood too. Organic products were used. The Menu has a great selection of North & South Indian food. In fact it offers a multi cuisine. It is a popular place for the locals and tourists. Hospitality is good. Staff are polite and welcoming. Keep up the good service. Will be back soon.

Food is very oily, spicy but still not tasty. I think this is the best option in Gonicoppal, so visit only of you must.

Nice place, ambiance was first class, food was good tasty value for money, but pls learn how to welcome a guest and approach them, giving good food and feeling guest tummy and responding to guest in wired way it does seems to be good!

Ok place on the way from Bangalore to Virajpet.

I go to this place as they have a small boutique home made chocolate and wine store in the ground floor.
Bought a home made birds eye chilli wine. Pretty good first time tasting a wine with birds eye chilli.
Their chocolate are good.

The food tastes really good and the hotel is maintained very neatly and the service is responsive and very much suitable for family and they also room facilities which is also neat and good. Ought to try it once!

The ambience is great.food is served within minutes and the quality is amazing too.and its wallent friendly too.
Drinks are a bit over priced.

The food was very good. Chicken Biryani, Fish Chilli and Prawn Noodles was awesome. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone.

Located at a busy location, you may miss it.
The food is good. Ambience is simple and warm. Parking is available.

It is a fyn place to dine with ur family and friends and hang out. The dishes provided are one of the tastiest and delicious. The place is very neat and clean u cannot even find ant unhealthy things there it is the town area only with a lot of parking facilities.

about menu choices, the jackfruit manchurian was to die for
really enjoyed the dinner, plenty of parking available which is a huge plus

Amazing food? This is the place to be. Order anything and I bet it has to be tasty. We ordered local fish curry dish with rice roti, mutton biryani, Dal fry along with roti and rice.all the dishes were cooked to perfection.and in desert one must try gadbad.

Thought it would have awesome food.
Had a seat, menu was presented, rates were really reasonable (common rate).
We ordered chicken curry, chicken chilly, paneer chilly, paneer bhurji, rotis, and veg fried rice. Both the starters were gud (looked like crispy/65 but not chilly) anyway chicken curry, paneer bhurji lacked taste / spices (not spicy at all). Worst of all was veg fried rice really weird smell was coming from the rice (management please have a fried from different restaurant & check please). I guess people should stick to nonveg variety instead of veg in this restaurant (I am telling this because I have lot of veg food, so this veg food taste was really poor for my palate) Person who takes order should smile a little he was like we are punishing him. Waiters didn't serve anything on the plate (I mean it's ok but the waiters should serve the food for the 1st portion atleast)

Awesome restaurant with amazing food. Every item we ordered was cooked to perfection. Taste and texture were top notch. I'll definitely visit Spice Rack again.

Had breakfast on the way. Excellent place and very well maintained. Choice of food is also very good and pricing is quite good.
Would recommend this place. Overall menu also looking appealing and felt would be a place to try for dinner.

Food is tasty but the staff is careless they didn't take the order probably and when we requested to change (because of allergy) they changed with a bad face and after that the taste of the dish is totally changed no salt no spices two times it's happened
Disappointed

Had high expectations but the food was not that good, the service the crew the ambience everything is fine, i am really unhappy with the biriyani i have ordered, the mutton biriyani wasnt value for money, pathetic mutton pieces.

We stopped here for lunch on our way to Virajpet and spent about an hour.

The restaurant is in the first floor and can seat about 50 guests at a time. It was full when we went, with a family literally vacating their table for us. We were a group of five with one toddler. Hence, we requested for curd rice without any tempering and chilly for the kiddo, and in no time we were served that. By the time we decided what we wanted, they brought us the curd rice. We went on to order a mushroom starter, rotis, paneer sabji, dal tadka and some more curd rice.

The service time was less, so were the quantities. That was a disappointment, but nonetheless, we enjoyed our food. The price was a little above average as well.

Why I chose to give this place a full five star rating over a deserving four is simply because of their honesty.

So, one of us left our sunglasses near the table we sat and realized it only the next afternoon. I immediately called them up and inquired about the lost shades. The staff (I cannot recollect the name) initially said there was none, but they would recheck and get back in half an hour's time. Guess what? Yes, I did get a call in less than thirty minutes! They confirmed we had left it there. I said I would collect it the next day, and at about 7 in the morning, they were open JUST FOR US!

Really amazing place for both authentic Coorgi food and otherwise. Came here with family after a tiresome journey to Elephant caves and Tibetan monastery. Ordered a variety of food ranging from Chinese to South Indian to Coorgi to North Indian. Everything was yummy and the service was fast. Will definitely come here when I revisit Coorg

Excellent ambience, great food in the scenic surroundings of Gonikoppal. You get a wide range of cuisines.

Good, except for the lychee mocktail which is only filled with pineapple fruit but called as lychee.
All non veg orders were good.
And in veg gobi manchurian dry was osom, crispy gobi with delicious taste.

Decent food, decent ambience. Nothing great but safe place to have food if you are passing through Gonikoppa to Mysore from Mananthavady.

Service is a bit slow. I have been here twice in a span of 2 years (visiting from Bangalore) and the service hasn't improved. Also the dosas are never served hot here! Taste is good and there's car parking available.

Really Good and enjoyed with family.dishes cooked here are tasty and spicy! It's a compulsory visit whenever we are travelling via Gonikoppal. Good food cooked is loved when served best! Thanks to the entire team for the dedicated efforts in serving and maintaining hygiene at all times.

Pathetic service. Though food was good, service level was abysmally low. We waited for 40 minutes after the soup was served. No one bothered about. All the other guests had a very similar experience. We gave our feedback. They need to change, hopefully.

I am a regular customer at The Spice Rack, and yesterday we had a 90th birthday lunch in their party room for my father-in-law. The elevator is very convenient for elderly people, and the room was very comfortable and pleasant. The food was fabulous, both veg and non-veg, and served so efficiently and courteously. All the guests were very happy. One person from Mysore even said that when visitors ask her for restaurant suggestions in Mysore, she will tell them to go to The Spice Rack in Gonikoppal!

I also had a short eat buffet delivered to a location in Ponnampet the previous day, and the delivery was on time and the food was raved about. Ponanna and the chefs took great pains to ensure that my special requests were attended to.

I highly recommend The Spice Rack for an impromptu meal or a planned event. Be sure to try the Hariyana pineapple-my new favorite starter! Thank you all!

If you are going to kannur from blr route. This is the best place to get rest on the way with very tasty food. Nice ambience and great service. Price is also good. The restaurant is in gonikoppal before entering the forest
