The restaurant ambience and the food is great. Extremely polite staffs. Have been here multiple times. Mr Rajendra was great as a manager. Recommend this place!
We went for lunch. Though the food was delicious to be had sitting in a wonderful location, the experience gets marred by the prolonged time waiting for it. Also, the service can be vastly improved.
Very poor service, they'll took more than a hour to prepare an order, the management won't treat the visitors properly, they'll treat people in a ill manner, they'll restrict many facilities only for the resort, overall it was a bad experience visiting the restaurant
I am visiting this place for the second time. The food is quite good. And the ambience too is good. But somehow second visit I could feel there was lot of difference and I could sense the lack of hospitality was the missing ingredient!
They are cheating the GST council and us. GST amount collected from me but stii bill not received even after more follow up. Next step going to complaint GST council
Good calm location. Well maintained garden and spacious rooms add to the serenity. Good food. Very close to city center. Had a very relaxing stay. Walkable to Shukavana. Rate is a bit higher than expected.
The service is very very slow. It took them more than 10 mins to just start to clean the table so we could sit. So apart from the waiting time for table to be available we had to wait 15 mins more making it around 25 mins of wait. The waiters were just wandering around and kept asking us to wait before they clear. They can improve on the service
The food was tasty though. And the ambience is also good.
Excellent landscaping and maintained well. Super clean and spacious rooms. Very polite and humble staffs to take care of your needs during the stay. Food is great. Great place to relax. No complaints. They don't have a bar, but there's a liquor shop in walkable distance and can have liquor in room.
I have only dined and the food was reasonably good though could try only vegetarian dishes as the visit was part of a meeting of a Philatelics Club. I will try non veg items and the bar facility (if it's there) during my next visit. Coming to the location, the only drawback is the limited parking facility for cars and hardly 10 to 15 cars can be parked with difficulty. The ambience which is to my liking is typical of a village bungalow, but the view overseeing the lawn is nothing less than spectacular. It was cloudy and with rains, the only thing we missed was the right spirits which we could not take. A Beautiful place though. I would go again. Edit 1 No liquor is served which is a drawback for this laid down setup.
Do not plan any events or party at this resort, veey disorganized, irresposible and bunch of unprofessionals, they cancelled last minute party we had planned, from initial discussion till end they were un communicative.hopeless, owner hides behind the scene and never communicates not sure what he is scared off.
We stoped there only for food. It's beautiful place to have lunch on dinner. Food is reasonable and with good quality and quantity both. Safe hotel to stay also returning from Ooty.
We went for dinner, the dinner starts from 7.15 so if you visit before then u have to wait for sometime. But the place is so mesmerizing u can spend the whole time looking at the garden that they have. I have never seen such greenish washroom and we'll maintained. The food is also good. Do try their Chinese as well. Eveb if you plan to stay, U can stay in village the rooms are like the Palace and it does have royal touch.
I was a great fan of this place. But, it has become more of commercial and hospitality which existed before is missing. "The Village" you disappointed this evening through your discomforting attitude! I don't feel like dining anymore over here.
My favourite place ️ Have been for lunch and dinner many times The food, the staff everything is just perfect They serve both veg and non veg food. The ambiance is beautiful, a nice walk in the garden and a tasteful meal will definitely make your time worthwhile.
I had got two Wheeler, they didn't allow inside the restaurant. I don't know y they have double standards allowing people with only cars inside. There were hardly two customer's, they had plenty of space they didn't allow the two Wheeler inside. So coming to the food the chicken was the worst, I think food department should properly check on this. It seems like the chicken was old and not properly cooked. Overall the experience was bad. Mostly the hotel may give good food if had four wheeler. Please avoid such restaurant with disgusting ethics.
Had been with family for weekend. Had to opt for this place as other resorts in Mysore was fully booked Pros 1. Location 2. Ambience 3. Food Cons 1. They don't have intercom. They give you old model cellphone for room service. 2. Staffs don't tell you things very clearly. Reception they never talked about check-out time or hidden charges. 3. No pool facility or any other indoor activities 4. They have very strict restaurant closing time. When someone goes to relax on vacation, will have to wake up early and hurry so that restaurant doesn't close If you have no other option you can consider this place. For the price service is sad!
The Village is resort like property but not as much. The ambience is very good, staff is courteous and polite, but not trained for a star hospitality. Room was spacious, well kept, and equipped well. Surprisingly, Room No is not posted any where, one needs to remember the location of the room to navigate. Open Restaurant also with a village like ambience, but serves a multi cuisine menu, perhaps for the pallette of the casual city visitor.
A great place to spend holidays with your family and friends. Nice ambience with a pleasing theme and facilities provided with great care. Carefully set up rooms with lot of attention to detail. Dining experience is memorable. Ambience is nice, the food prepared and served by well trained staff is exquisite. To top it all; they have a very responsive, pleasing and motivated group of people, taking care, at all levels: be it the front desk, the rooms and the restaurant. Col Jayaram
Good ambience, pleasant staff and even better food. Tried the Lemon Coriander Chicken Soup, Seer Fish Tikka, Mutton Pepper Fry, Chicken Lollipop, Butter Garlic Naan, Chicken Kohlapuri. And Finally some Gajar Ka Halwa. Def would recommend this place.
This is the first time we stayed at this place. It was an excellent choice in every possible aspect. Even though located closer to the city, has a very silent and peaceful feel to it. The property itself is green and lush. Very well maintained. The staffs are friendly and go out of the way to help when required. Service at the Restaurant was great. Food and hospitality was well taken care off. Everything that we ordered and the complimentary breakfast was delicious. Rooms were clean and well maintained. We stayed as a family with my one year old and felt every comfortable and enjoyed every bit. The staffs to mention Prasanna, Mahesh DJ at the restaurant, Ponnanna, Murlidhar from the front desk and Hemanth from housekeeping did an amazing job.
Every better if free access to the lawn area is provided for dinner or lunch. Also if the staff headcount at the restaurant is looked into as service is more but people to handle is less. Thank you for the wonderful experience.
I have been visiting this restaurant since several years and is one of my favourites when I am in Mysore. Excellent ambience, tasty food and courteous staff. This must be in your try-it-out list when you are in Mysore:)
The Village is such a beautiful resort! My family had a great time spending 2 days there. We rarely felt the need to venture out of the resort. The in-house restaurant has many varities and have very tasty food! The whole ambience provided a very relaxing stay. I look forward to coming back here sometime in the future!
Only ambience is good. Service is worst, very late. They literally took one hour to serve main course. When enquired why, the staff gave the reason of crowd on a general holiday. It showed their inefficiency to run a restaurant. Roti was very hard, paneer hyderabadi was very blant, shahi paneer was salty. Starters weren't good either. Hara bara kebab & french fries were so oily that we literally squeezed dripping oil by tissues. Very disappointed! I wouldn't suggest this place to any seriously!
Nice place.we enjoyed. Specially lawn garden area is too good and perfect for winter time.we had good time in lawn area. We noticed staff taking all precautions for coronavirus. Even the restaurant food was pretty good and staff were wearing masks all around. Happy I chose this resort to chill-out in mysore.
Weaving your way through the crowds of both man and machine, the noises of civilisation, the soul longs for a few moments of quiet. A patch of green and a breath of fresh air. An oasis to regain one’s wits, a sense of balance and to calm the nerves. Though you believe such places now exist only in dreams, poetry and song, you still hope however improbable it may seem, to find such a place in brick and mortar.
Welcome to “The Village” Discover the ‘wow’ of a dream coming true. Come experience the goodness of nature being served on a platter!
Recently paid a visit, hospitality of the staff is the worst! They didn't even offer us to have a seat until the restaurant area was free for us! Spoke so rudely.and apologized later but with no realisation! I never expected this from them.very disappointing.
Very bad experience. People behave so rude with kids and family. I don't suggest this village resort for family. The name is just village. But they don't treat guest like villagers. Horrible experience
Excellent place and 5 min drive from the Mysore palace. The place is built with exposed compressed earth bricks and has beautiful manicured lawns. There is good space for children to play. Restaurant is very good and staff is very hospitable
We visited the place for a corporate event and stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel staff is very helpful. It's a small resort, perfect for a weekend getaway. It's not highly priced. Rooms are spacious, clean, and very well maintained. The food here could be better but overall a great experience.
The ambience if the place n rooms. Location could have been better though.its inside the city types so resirt feel is missing. However, once u r inside the resort, u dont feel like u r in the city:) Service is good, food is also very good n loved the rooms n lawns!
Very nice place for family thing.food is really amazing.if you eat non veg dont miss mutton pepper fry.ambiance is really good.staffs are very friendly.
The Village, Mysore is situated near Sachinathantha Ashram; closer to the city and well connected to the Railway stations, Bus stops and the airport and ATM's. It's Tactical geographic location makes it easier to access tourist spots, as well.
The resort is a 3 acre property with beautiful lawn and rooms. The view through the balcony is mesmerising. This place suits you, if you choose to have a good family time, or a sleep over with friends or solitude.
This place is suitable for wedding photoshoot (if they permit), birthday parties and sangeeth (absolutely!), also.
The resort has couple of out door games like Basket ball, Foot ball, Swimming, Badminton, A fully maintained Children park with a slide and a swing. These games are not just for show but (the courts/accessibility) are maintained well in condition for the guests to use. If you are not a keen sports person, you still have options like lying on your back and gazing at the stars at night or the clouds during the day. An open building in the middle of the Lawn with floor dewan is available, where you can sit all day in shade or bask in the sun.
There are cemented sit outs under the trees and couple of beautiful aesthetic table and chairs are available to sit on the lawn, with a peaceful atmosphere.
The rooms, are well maintained and clean. The floors of the rooms are carpeted, keeping it warm with both fan/AC options and an absolutely Hot water flowing on the taps 24/7. There are also cottages/rooms with suite like structures that are not carpeted which are beauty on its own.
An in-house restaurants is available on the premises (Lunch - Snack - Dinner servings done on respective timings slots). The food is decent and nice; a tad bit over priced. The management does not encourage room service and charges an additional 50% as SC if a room service is opted. This is to ensure the 3acre property is pest free (Can't agree with them more, considering the cleanliness). They have maintained a rustic look about this place which is very appealing.
The staffs are courteous. They ensure each of the guests stay is comfortable. I had travelled with my best friend and her 5Yo. The check-in is at 2.00PM and Check-out is at 11.00AM. As I was travelling from Chennai and last minute plan, I had to take the flight that reached at 8 in the morning. I reached the premises and requested for a early check-in (The main guest my friend was to reach at 3 in the evening) the verified with my friend and did they best to help me by letting me check-in at 12.00PM (conditions applied: Only if rooms/cottages are available and ample time is there for the management to clean the room before next check-in). The day of check-out as well they allowed a late check out by an hour and allowed me to use the lawn sit outs till 6 in the evening as my return flight was in the night. A special mention to the manager who quickly looked into my request and helped me out. He gave me a room to use and refresh before I headed to the airport.
Things that could be better: 1. A temperature control for the swimming pool (it was freezing cold so we couldn't use the pool) 2. Few more options on the complementary breakfast (The current menu is yum, though) 3. A taxi service to the Airport (the Mysore airport has limited services so fixing a taxi from there to the city is a task, if we miss the timings)
A good place to relax. They have a great pool. Food is not great. Their penthouse has a brilliant terrace, one can literally put a bed out there and sleep under the stars!
Best hospitality, great location, great staff, home food, we really had great time. We were group of 30 people had wonderful stay here. Appreciate all the staff for all the help.
They helped arranging transport for local sightseeing. Swimming pool is superbly maintained. There are variety of birds on trees. So photographers can shoot a lot. All rooms are very spacious, all facilities provided. We highly recommend this for all who visit Mysore.
Williams and all the staff took care of us really well. Thank you so much.
Good place. Overpriced for the service. At that price I can eat at marriot. Staff is rude and needs basic customer service training. Had to wait over 45 mins for food.
Myself Pavithra BV, me and my family stayed in this resort for 2 days and stay was really good and the hospitality provided by the staff was really welcoming. During our stay, unfortunately we lost our gold made ornament and obviously as a family we were really upset and we threw all the anger on the staff of the resort. However, resort guys were really cool and they tried helping us in finding the ornament in all possible ways. Post that, in continuation with our anger we also posted a bad review comment against the resort and the staff which was really not good from our side. We realized that, its our responsibility to take care of our belongings and not the job of the staff or the resort. Hence, we would like apologize the staff and resort leadership for all those things that happened from us. Finally we would like to thank them for all the hospitality that they provided us during our stay.
Absolutely beautiful resort located near the foothills of Chamundi hills, which can be seen from the resort. Located a few minutes away from the palace. Clean and comfortable rooms, delicious food and staff are very friendly.
Excellent and quiet atmosphere. Makes you feel relaxed and away from city and work pressures. Great place to go with family to rejuvenate everyone. Food is excellent
Food served is tasty. Priced at 4 star rates Very neatly maintained space and great hospitality. Even has lodging facility for overnight stays. Closer to chamundi hills.
The location is good. Room is very spacious, the amenities were awesome. You have enough space for the kid to play. Restaurant of the resort is good and has good taste of food. Two things I felt is the resort is overpriced - being a 3 star resort & room service is not good.
Restaurant is good but due to less customers quality of food wasn't expected during last visit. Hospitality and service is good. They have to improve the quality of restaurant and customer attention.
A beautiful resort to spend your lazy weekend, The resort is at the footsteps of Chamundi hills, well connected with the city markets as well. Rooms are big and spacious.they offered us a garden looking room with a small outside passage, well staff I'm giving it 4 stars coz they have very few options for food in the evening, just a tea and some scops, all over a really great experience to feel from, even if you are from the city you'll feel that you are in different place, calm and peaceful environment.
