Tipu sultan's summer palace which is situated in bengaluru is a beautiful place. It is a historical place containing sultan Tipu's memories. Some of the paintings and historical notes along with Tipu sultan's belongings like sword are exhibited in here with special restrictions and regulations. Photography inside this exhibition area is prohibited. Otherwise the whole palace is beautiful and can take photographs. It is a well maintained palace with beautiful garden.

It's Ok, I saw from outside, could not find parking. I think you can skip this, you can visit if you have too much time in Bangalore.

It's a small but nice place. Well maintained structure and garden area. Good place for a few poses and clicks. There are no food or tea/ coffee stalls inside. There is no disturbance of hawkers. Photography with flash on inside the rooms is prohibited, and security gurads are vigilant about that. The toilets were free and surprisingly very clean (I wish it remains like that always. Rather, we keep it clean always). There is no parking facility and you can park on the main road in front. You may pay and park your vehicles in any of the many office buildings next to this place, and parking free is quite nominal.
Now, a very important part. There is entry ticket, and you need to buy e-ticket ONLINE on the spot before entry by scanning a QR code displayed on board by making online payments (20 rupees per head for Indian nationals). After paying the entry fee, you need to show the QR codes on the e-ticket (to be downloaded after payment) to the security person at the gate, s/he will scan the codes and allow to enter. Therefore, you must carry your smartphone. Also, note that there are no special entrance for specially abled people.
A suggestion to the authorities - it is really great move to make things online, but please also consider people who are not comfortable using smartphones or do not have one.

For me it was not worth a watch after all those efforts to get parking for my 2 wheeler. Nothing much to see or amuse. It can be said like a miniature or experience centre of palace but not even a half palace.

Palace. Look's good. But. You can't explore the entire. Place. Because someplace are. Restricted for. Others!
10 जून 2021 5:46
You can visit even after it gets close. How. You can see it from closed gate easily as the gate is small. Whatever you can see from gate is all you see from inside.

Don't get confused with word summer palace.name of this place is very deceptive.there is nothing attractive at this place.u can see around entire area in 10-15 minutes max.
Entry at this place is difficult as u need to scan their barcode for getting tickets and u need to make the payment online, so be carefu. Entry fee rs. 20 per person

It has a beautiful architecture and worth visiting place. We can learn the history of Tipu Sultan, about his kingdom and how he ruled and it will inspire us. It has a well maintained park. This place is said to be that Tipu Sultan used to visit it in Summer. The building looks single storied from outside but in inside its a two storied building. Some of the olden wall paintings traces can be seen. There are some rooms where history of Tipu Sultan is displayed photography is not allowed there. Two wheeler and four wheeler parking is available straight opposite to Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace. Bangalore Fort is very near to this palace (around 500mts only) and can be visited by walk from here because parking is difficult near Bangalore Fort and there is no entry fees in Bangalore Fort.

Don't know why there is an entry fees. It's really small and you can visit it just from outside. Made of woods so stays cool inside as compared to outside of palace. No wonder it's called summer palace
24 फरवरी 2019 3:21
It's a 2 storied building based on wooden and stone structure where Tipu Sultan used to spend time during summer time. Entry Fee is Rs. 25 per person.
23 फरवरी 2019 16:26
Don't go here if expect more from this place. They charge u Rs 25 for entry.
It's worthless compared to banglore palace.
22 फरवरी 2019 14:38
The inside tour charges are mere INR 25/- but is not up to the mark interms of Tipu Sultan's name tag. The Brand of Tipu Sultan in Karnataka and the portrayal of his Summer Palace is a must to be avoided. Not a place to cherish the mighty rulers Bengaluru's residential address.
20 फरवरी 2019 0:40
This palace is made of wood. You can find some painting with details about the palace. There is nothing much to see. Its in small area.here, you can spend around 1 hour, not more than that. You can also find the toilet in the campus.

Good historical place in Bangalore for timepass. Well maintained monument, considering it is older than Mysore Palace itself. Also has photos and info regarding Tipu Sultan and his rule. Has a beautiful small temple too adjacent to it

Good place for short hangout. Structure of the palace is beautiful made up of wood and other materials which tells a lot about the history of Bangalore and Karnataka.
11 जनवरी 2019 2:49
Quite ordinary to see.nothing specific to talk about.makes you wonder why it is so small.good for clicking some snaps.parking on the opposite side of the road is accessible after you have taken a U-turn from the signal ahead. Bangalore fort is just 5 mins away provided traffic does not chip in.
09 जनवरी 2019 6:58
Its a wooden palace made of burma teak.all the walls are painted with historic events of Tipu sultan life.the four mysore wars with british.some weapons of those times.its worth watching those beautiful pictures on the walls which tell us the greatness of Tipu Sultan. There is a public toilet inside the compound where it says pay and use amount not specified.the watchman is collecting Rs 5 per person for using the toilets. I want to ask ASI when you are collecting enrtry fee why cant you provide free toilets to public.is this not your responsibility? I had seen many people going behind the trees in the parking area to attend nature call.what kind of image we are projecting to the foreigners visiting our country. ASI TO THINK. Disclaimer i dont mind spending 5 or 10 for toilet.

Tippu summer palace is very small. It is essentially a one storey building, ok to click some pics but nothing much to see and get enthralled. No where comparable to the Mysore palace. However, the entry fee is only 25 bucks.

I travelled to COIMBATORE from bangalore (dated-11/11/18). The whole night trip was suffered alot. Because the bedbug bites and sucked my blood. Really disgusting one to me.

It's a very small palace with mostly old wooden work. There's a small garden around the palace. Parking area is across the road, parking is not covered. There is a very small entry fee. The furniture and building looks very old. Ground floor has small museum in the rooms. You can visit the place in 15 minutes max. Place is good to visit on family outing or site seeing trip.

Enthralling, nostalgic and surefire time machine to transport ud back to days of real patriotism, heroics and bravery all for the love n respect of motherland.
05 दिसंबर 2018 14:24
It is a two storey building entirely made in pure teak wood with big fluted pillars supporting the whole structure.the ground floor of the palace now houses a museum which showcases a portrait of the monarch, his clothes, the missiles used during the wars with the British and a couple of his swords. Though the mansion is not grand in size, its amazing wooden architecture is one thing that shouldn’t be missed out. Thankful

Although it's in pretty good condition and we'll maintained it is appalling to see the graffiti on the walls of most of the rooms. The term palace is somewhat of a misnomer as the place is very small, more like a large pavilion. However, the grounds are well kept and the place itself is in excellent condition. I believe the neighbouring mandir was once also a part of the palace.
