Really had high expectations since the place had a good rating. Loved the ambiance and food as well but the service was horrible, just cuz we look a little different, they rushed to take away our plates and made us feel as if they wanted us to leave early.
Quite easily the best restaurant in Bengaluru when it comes to the food. Not everyone would like the taste but I am pretty sure that everyone will appreciate the fresh, high quality produce used. This restaurant is cut above the rest. You will not go wrong with anything in the menu. Dessert may not be the strongest part of the menu.
It offers a range of dishes such as crab bisque, shrimp tempura, flatbreads, mushroom curry and more. The cocktails are also unique and refreshing. The staff is courteous and attentive, and the service is quick and efficient. Toast & Tonic is a great place to enjoy a romantic dinner or a family outing with your loved ones
The place is so beautiful and the decorations are amazing. The staffs are very polite and friendly. The price of dishes and drinks are comparatively lesser than other places. This place is very famous for its gins tonic & drinks. A very busy place sometimes it's hard to find a seat but must a go place with your friends and partner.
This is a fraud restaurant, which sells 1/2ltr water bottle for 155 rupees. Actually MRP of the water bottle is 50/-. The bottle says it's a glaciers water but which is produced in bidadi Ramnagar. Please raise your voice when you face these situations.
Toast and tonic great ambience good service great place for dine out if some wants to enjoy pork and beef dishes and good dessert then this is the place to be Most important valet parking is also available Enjoy!
Food is below average (although price is not). Went on a Friday night and the service was terrible. Made us 50mins at the bar. To finally get seated and another 50 minutes till our order. And then they messed it up and gave our order to someone else. Had to wait for 2 hours for very average food. Waitress was extremely surly as well. Not returning here ever.
Lost the previous vibe, which was so hip and heady. The current menu is pretty lackluster too. The cocktails are good.though some good ones are still missed!
My first time here.a great place to hang out with family. The gin drinks were great - steer clear of the rest of the drinks since gin seems to be thr highlight drink here. Loved the flatbread and the smoked ribs. The chicken wings are a must try for the chilly lovers. This one will set your body on fire!
Curated menu with limited options if you are choosy when it comes to meat preferences. Food and drinks are quite good, dessert was great. Service was poor and pricing with a lot of booze and mild eating was expensive at approx 5k per head.
Suggest trying if you are a fan of gin based drinks.
One of the best restaurants in Bangalore where both food and drinks are top notch, and not to forget, the ambience too. Love most of their G&T options which goes perfectly with the innovative food.
The best happening place for me. The tonics served here are just awesome. Not so huge, but warm ambience. Visited twice and still wanna visit more. Thibk of a wonderful place to hangout and this comes first in mind. Even though quite far from my place, i still would want to visit here. Staff are friendly. Not visited recently. But a decent place for hangout with family and friends. Loved the cocktails here. Neat presentation food. Deliciously made.
Great place for dates and meetups. Food is lovely. Staff is friendly. The highlights, of course, are the gin and tonics - must try the whole list and find your favorites.
Had lunch here as suggested by a friend. Can't be happier and more satisfied. The gin cocktails are a class apart. I liked the Herbalist. The small plates were a treat. Will be back to try the main courses and deserts.
Probably a case of expecting too much. Went there for their craft cocktails and they were a big let down. The signature G&T was basically a shot of gin and an open can of Schwepps tonic water on the side.if I wanted something like that I could have gone to any of the fine local watering holes that would have had the same thing for a fifth of the price. The negroni was just about ok. The entrees were a bit of a hit and miss. The deserts were the only bright spot almost every thing we ordered were good- the expression of jaggery stood out. Service was pretty poor as well, there was no ownership of the table and they seemed to randomly clear cutlery and plates. All in all, it was a bit of a disappointment
I've been to Toast n Tonic twice now and both times I've walked out a full and happy belly! I love the setting and the atmosphere of this place. Service was quick, efficient and top notch both times. Roasted beet salad, Mushroom Toast, Water chestnut and Baby Corn Tempura, Naga Chilli Chicken Wings, Crispy Calamari Rings, Asian style Smoked Chicken Flatbread, Mushroom and Asparagus Risotto, Lobster Risotto and for dessert Expression of Jaggery! Of all those things I would definitely go back for the Beet salad, the Mushroom toast, the Chicken Wings, the risottos and the dessert!
Heard so much about this place so we finally went. I feel it was overrated. Ambiance was good. We went their for brunch and were really disappointed by the limited options on the menu. Serving portion was also less. But good taste was good but is over priced. It's a one time go place according to me.
The quality of the food is excellent. Try the liver pate and the tempura prawns. I didn't fancy the dessert. They gave us a dessert for our wedding anniversary and then charged us for it which I didn't appreciate. The other complaint I have is that the wine is way overpriced. A bottle of red wine which is available for about 1200 in the market is sold at 3900. It's more expensive than Taj. If it's a priced at about 2500 then a customer will definitely order 2 bottles.
Vibrant place to visit any day of the week. My unanimous option for the best gin cocktails in the city with The Herbalist and Ms Rose & Col Cucumber being the highlight cocktails. The food menu is well paired with the cocktails with the Lamb Merguez and Chicken flat bread options standing out. Great spot for a NY hole in the wall, date like experience during the week and a great family spot during the weekends based on my observation.
I incorrectly assumed I wouldn't like the place much initially, thinking the portions would be too small and the flavor profile not familiar to my humble palate, but surprisingly, I loved every single thing about it. The food was absolutely amazing, the cheese platter especially. The ambience is carefully crafted to make the establishment feel both cozy and intimate. The gin and tonics we ordered were the stars of the show, every single one of them had specially crafted tonic water, that was sublime. Definitely going to go back for more!
One of my favorite restaurants to visit in Bangalore! The food is exceptionally good. Everything from the starters to the mains are cooked to perfection! Their vegetarian dishes are amazing (especially the radish cakes and the gnocchi) and I look forward to eating them although I'm a non-vegetarian. The gin and Tonic drinks would make you want more. Extremely well balanced and refreshing drinks.
The the ambience is so good that you wouldn't want to leave! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
The peach iced tea and the shrimp dishes that I tri d here, would definitely be one of the best I've had so far in my life. The Ambience is great! And service is good.
This place is the best place to have a sophisticated hangout. The crowd there is elite and the ambience is pleasant. I loved the jalapeno poppers cocktail there, it's the must try dish! Loved it:)
I was here for New Years with my wife and some friends. The six of us had an absolutely wonderful experience.
The staff were very responsive - my drink was getting refilled often and proactively - something you don't expect on a day like the 31st of December.
The food was fabulous. I would strongly recommend the 7 hour cooked Pork Shoulder. And the desserts are what you might want to save all of your stomach for if that's your thing.
The ambiance was delightful. It is a place very well suited for a comfortable and classy night out with close friends or the significant other.
Decent place. Good gin & tonic options but if you're a veggie you'll be disappointed. The place burnt a big hole in my pocket but I came back unsatiated with food.
A small restaurant that puts it's own twist on different dishes and different takes on the traditional Gin n' Tonic. While it might not seem your kind of place, definitely give it a shot as it did change my mind. A hidden gem.
Amazing food. Went in the middle of a work day so unfortunately couldn't try the cocktails. Particularly loved the jackfruit taco, the flatbreads and the desserts. Eclectic mix of flavors that all sing together in perfect harmony!
The G&T was delicious and unique, without being overdone. The food was good, but not great. Some things just weren't my favorite flavours. The dessert was also more interesting on the menu than in my mouth. I would have been better served just getting the coffee ice cream, which was superb. The ambiance is great, and the smaller space makes it super cozy. Prices were European, so I'm guessing high for Indian standards. I had one drink and shared 4-5 small plates/desserts with 2 friends and ended up paying a little under 3k rupees/EUR 30. I'd say in the end it was pricier than needed.
After having eaten in many good places like Smoke house deli, this place will pale in comparison. The food was extremely overpriced for the quantity and taste. No wonder the place didn't have as many people. Although the ambience is good, the place didn't have great choice of food. Service is above average. Cost about 3000/- for two inclusive of alcohol.
Went for a birthday celebration this week. Ambience - dimly lit and great! Food - I loved most of what we ordered, ones that I wasn't fond of, was liked by others. Drinks - Great G&T specials Service - Exceptional Service
What we ordered - Mushroom Toast, Beef Tostadas, Pork Belly, Beef Steak, Jaggery Dessert, Coffee Dessert
Must order - Beef Tostadas, Beef Steak, Jaggery dessert
Note: The pork belly utterly melts in your mouth but it was a little too sweet for me. If you don't have a sweet tooth, you might want to ask them to add less sauce.
