Tranquil Woods

I had booked a 3 night stay for my aged parents on what was their first vacation alone in a long time. The lack of recent reviews at the property should have been a red flag for me but i went ahead with the booking on assurance from the host Mr Paul that they would be taken care of well and treated as if i was there taking care of them myself. The homestay itself is quite pictueresque though remotely located however the primary issue is that the host is quite old and ailing and somewhat inflexible to the needs of his guests. This could be since he is trying to do all the work of running the place without any external help but the experience for my parents was far from ideal. The food on offer at the homestay was strictly average which came as a big surprise since my exlerience at moat other homestays in the area has been quite the opposite with Coorgi food being a highlight of the trip. The host was also not accomodating about making wi fi available, food timings (dinner by 9 pm since he had to clean up before he slept). The rooms and washrooms werent cleaned nor garbage in rooms cleared for the 3 day duration that my parents were there.

While my parents did enjoy the calm amd quiet of the location and the host did help in pickup anf drop to the bus station for a fee,
their experience was marred by tne hosts standoffish nature and lack of orientation towards guests comfort.

Mr Paul and his wife were such gracious hosts! They went out of their way to make our stay pleasant
