Late August to September I guess would be the best time to visit this waterfall. Amazing view.

Wow. Truly a hidden gem. Visited during monsoon and Aghanishini makes a thunderous jump and the mist creates a beautiful rainbow!

There are multiple viewing decks at various levels to enjoy the waterfall. The last viewing deck (and the best one to view the waterfall) is almost 250 steps down from the first viewing deck. It's worth going down for it. Though it was tiring to walk back up, the experience was great. A definite recommend to go down if one can.

The first viewing deck is around 400 metres away from the entrance point. One can walk down the slope or take the adjoining stairs.

Charges were very nominal. Entry fee 10 rs per person and 40 for car park.
Visited on a Sunday afternoon and was quiet surprised that it was not crowded.
There's a toilet near the first viewing deck but it was not in a usuable condition.
Airtel doesn't work in the place. Only BSNL and Jio works.

Absolutely stunning! To be honest the Unchalli waterfall is bigger (volume wise) and superior when compared to the Jog falls, which are popular for being the second highest falls in India.
Unchalli is about 1-1.5hrs from Jog falls and an absolute must visit!

Best during the rainy season. It's best when u walk down the stairs rather than the top view point. It's just mesmerizing and beautiful. Need to walk for 1.5 km. There is an option of stairs also.

Recommend to visit in the month of November and December. In mansoon waterfall will be covered with mist and fog, 5% visibility. Need to trek for 500 meters.

One of the best waterfalls near sirsi.it's around 25-30 mins from sirsi city.do visit here when you are around sirsi. I visited during the starting of monsoon.and it's around 30-40 mins of walking.you get to view the falls at different points.every point u get down.the view of the falls makes you go more front and gives you motivation to come even more front.be careful of leaches. Theres no signal when ur going near the falls. Theres entry ticket in checkpost. Karnataka is the best

Powerful and wonderful waterfalls. One of the highest waterfalls in Karnataka. As per me best time to visit is not in monsoon time. During monsoon as the flow of water is heavy you can’t step down to the pond of falls, only you can see it from the top or far view points. Best time visit is from Dec to Beginning of monsoon

This place is really a hidden gem. We went in rainy season and initially it was covered in mist but later when it got cleared, view was simply amazing. I couldn't forget the waterfall sound there which makes the waterfall experience unique

Unchalli falls is one of the falls that flows to the fullest as there is no Dam across it. The Aghanashini river, also called as Mani Hole, flows through uttara Kannada district and falls through Unchalli and reaches Arabian Sea near Honnavar city. The best time to visit Unchalli is from June to December. During the rains, the falls is barely visible due to mist. The summers are waste as the river will be almost dry but you can climb down the forest to reach the bottom of the falls, it's a good thing to spend a day, I recommend you to carry some food. I request not to swim or take a dive in the falls foots, many people have died doing so. If you want to get wet, select some place bit far from the foot of the falls where the water is not so deep or flowing too fast. I have added a video taken up above the ground level, you may watch it.

One of the Beauty of it’s kind. Must visit place if ur are planning a trip to Sirsi. Have to get down approx 1km via steps but it’s really worth.

I feel this place is a bit underrated. Quite a walk down to the view point but all that effort is worth the view. Do check out this place if you are crossing Sirsi.

Falls is awesome, an unsung beauty in the middle of forest? Due to repeated rains the steps are slippery, Tourism department should take necessary actions to keep it safe for young and aged visitors. And cleanliness is key. Visitors should come ready for leaches.

It's also called lushington falls, the falls is located 2 far from the main parking gate one must have to trek to the falls, and a very difficult to get view of the falls during monsoon nothing than fog almost Everywhere.

In monsoon, the views are breathtaking. Though nothing is visible due to heavy fall creating mist/fog but you get little glimpse of waterfall that is mesmerising. Be aware of leeches.

This fall is consistent throughout the year.
It's on the Aghanashini River.
Be careful in rainy season as it may be slippery.

Place is good, i visited place on 14jul2021
It was raining n fog was damm good n u trekking is about 1km down hill.
Parking is available at gate n a tea stall is also present if u need snack better take in village only u wont get much in so

It was really an amazing waterfalls I have ever seen. I would say Just a way to go down and see heaven in bare eyes and come up with full of peace and wonder in the mind.

It would make noise all over the world. That we have this huge waterfalls in Karnataka, India.

A very nice place, many people call it KEPPA JOGA its actually True, the roaring sound of the falls is really amazing.
Visit on clear sunny day otherwise it would be difficult to see the falls because of the fog and water fog created by falls.
Visitors have thrown the garbage in many places, please avoid such things, Forest department has kept Dustbin in many places use them and Try to keep this beautiful place clean so our next generation could enjoy as we have.

One of the best waterfalls in Uttarakannada. Trek level is surely not for beginners. Be prepared if you are coming with the elders. You can visit the waterfall anytime during the year, beauty of this falls will be at peak during the monsoons and again be prepared for leeches and slippery steps during monsoon season.

It was a surprise visit for us, since we planned to go to karwar and took deviation from sirsi, it was worth visiting it and enjoying the nature, one of the beautiful falls in the monsoon. Water flow was amazing and good scenaries to take pics as well. Loved it.

An awesome waterfall connected from sirsi via a good road. Waterfall is not that far from the parking area, but far enough to provoke some excitement within you.

You can have a clear picture of the waterway right from the front, without any disturbance. The main steps take you only to the viewpoint, and not the the bottom of falls. Place is all covered with greenery.

Waterfall is so high that water looks silky smooth. Falling water creates mist densely and continuously, that you see a rainbow most of the times.

This place happens to be close to my grandma's home so I've been there a few times. If I have to describe this place in one word it's simply "therapeutic" it's calm, quiet and peaceful in the middle of nature helps you relax and clear your mind. There's sufficient parking space and the walk upto the view point in itself is a journey. Getting down the steps when you're surrounded by forest on either side is an experience in itself. Initially after walking a bit you'll find a place with benches for relaxing or eating. There's water and bathroom facility. There are three view points from the top to bottom as you go down. The one at the bottom is the closest and gives you a closer and wider view of the falls. The falls themselves are serene and otherworldly! So white so pure.it's a must visit if you're close to Sirsi Please don't litter or throw plastic while you're there and maintain the clean environment. Also please buy something from the tiny little shops in the beginning because there aren't a lot of visitors and they're closing down because of lack of customers and even the ones who visit never buy anything. Support small local businesses

One must visit this fall's, one which I heard is always in great flow, through the year, it's really really worth a visit, not to miss this one if you visit Sirsi or nearby.

A mejestic waterfalls view point, you can't go to the down of the falls as it's dangerous. View point is awesome. Should go in own vehicle

The strength of the waterfall in December makes me think how strong would it be in the monsoons!
Note: It's quite the stress if you want to go down all the way and comeback. Not at all recommended for the elderly.

Very famous water fall nearby Sirsi to have a great view. Here we see the falls mainly from the top end. Drawback here is not recommendedable for people who are uncomfortable with walking down stairs/ mud road as the view point is pretty a walk away from main road. But for entusiastic guys it gives a good challenge to go even further down the stair to reach another view point. Do visit before it's dark as it's a surronded by forest and it's a good view point till sunset.
