Waiter And Manager All keeps watching Instagram, YouTube and cricket, does not pay attention to the customer And Also UD managers do not respect the red T-shirt boy of Bihar and abusively make them work like a bonded laborer. UD Managers only give respect to Karnataka person or person who knows Kannada language.
This place is good for tea and snacks. Ground floor is self-service and first floor there a place to dine in. We tried Chinese food items, they weren't great. Tea was good. They wide variety of chats (North Indian Snacks) and juices. Worth giving a try!
Its was one of the best restuatrent in jayanagar9th block. Bharjari bhojana was the best if the best here.but now all changed.it has become worst. The stopped bharjari bhojana service the day we visited here. So we don't Want to go back.so we ordered south Indian meals.it was a big surprise for us.such a low qunatity and low quality food and they charged 160 for south indian meal. The rice was so sticky. Rasam was like colored water. And curdrice was sour. Really disappointed. And the staff was so careless in serving.didnt expect this. Never visit this place again.
The a** behind the counter was doing his own thing while we waited at the counter and finally when he had the time to look up, says he won't give change because it's just coffee we are buying. Such attitude and lack of customer service. Take your business elsewhere
Went for a dinner and starter were tasty and warm. Tandoor rotis were baked to perfection and curries were spicy enough for rainy day. Overall good place.
It's been a childhood memory for me. I have been going to this place since I was a child. It's very inexpensive and quintessential south india food is available at all times. Yummy in my tummy
Good Veg restaurant at Jayanagar. Both South & North Indian dishes. Sweets, snacks, chocolate, icecream. You ask are available. Both sit in and stand and eat. Parking may be a challenge sometimes.as it's a main road. Good place to have quick eat. I have been coming here for many years. Service remains good.people are good. Recommend for all types of veg dishes.
Food is good but it's expensive quantity is also ok ok crowd is also high only one billing counter for multiple things which make to wait fr bit long time
There are four section if I am correct. One self service fresh south indian & north indian dishes, reasonably priced. Another section in the ground floor exclusively north indian & chat parcel counter, high tariff. Above there are two sections one AC restaurant serving tasty south & north indian dishes with service. The other side of the first floor is full special meals under caption "Bharjari Oota" unlimited meals for a reasonable price. Parking finding is a major issue. Located in the central place at Jayanagar near BDA complex.
Food is good but the dining hall has unbearable smell which can't have food. Really how the restaurant didn't know this, it is something that need to be look in.
Restaurant is present in 1st floor. Ground floor they have sweets and snacks. This place is very crowded in weekend. Food taste and quality both are good.
The Service section, the North Indian, Chinese and the Bharjari Oota all are okay.except the South Indian self service section, there is something wrong.either the idli or sambar or the tea, etc. It was not like this in the past. It is not upto the mark of the great and famous UD Brand (Group).
Bharjari bhojana @Upahara Darshini (UD) priced at 190rs gives you a run for money! If you are craving to have a marriage meal n have been missing it, then this is your place. Right from salt pickle, chutney, palya, kosambri as sides to curd rice. They will serve you until u say stop. Do try it.
Worst behaviour of each person in this hotel since from 2008 as a UD its starting eventually earlier it was nice treat. But today after 2 years of gap I have visited i felted truly bad treatments with this hotel staffs.kindly don't Go 2nd time this hotel
It's not everyday I would rate a place so low. Visited here on a Saturday afternoon. Chose this place only because they serve Jain cuisine in this area. It was crowded and took us some time to get seat, which is okay. However, there was no COVID appropriate guidelines followed. Seating was 100% of the capacity in a jam packed space. There was no proper leg room or even stomach room I can say when seated. The table was not clean as well and had to nudge twice to get it cleaned. We ordered a starter - Jain Baby Corn Manchurian, a main course - Jain Paneer Butter Masala along with Butter Roti and Butter Naan. It took more than 40 mins approx to serve the starter. And the plate used to serve - was not clean, and the second plate was also the same. We had to wait for another 15 more minutes to get the main course. We wanted lassi and the staff didn't know if it was available. We asked it when we first ordered and it took them almost an hour to confirm if it was available. The only reason I am giving 2 star was because the food was of good taste. When we were leaving, there was a big queue waiting to get in. There was a BBMP official too and I didn't understand what he was doing in the queue. Failed in performing his duty as well. I would not visit this place again for such a 'good' experience I had.
Had been for breakfast here today after a long time especially after watching one of the food blogger post recently. Was completely disappointed with the experience.
At times like these, all the restaurants are trying to improve their cleanliness and hygiene. But there is this restaurant which is least bothered about their cleanliness. From table cloth to crockeries everything looked dirty. The taste of the food was at par, but the attitude of the staff was equally pathetic as their cleanliness. Iconic Hotels like these shoul be more professional and customer friendly, but I guess they are really not bothered about the customer satisfaction but they are only here for the money.
Note: This review is for the Service hall on the first floor
This is the first time I'm visiting this restaurant after the pandemic struck. The experience for me was very bad. The main reason for giving this rating is food was not of good taste like before and the service was horrible. I came to this restaurant today with my friends as I had previous experience of good tasty good here. I had to wait almost 30mins after my order to get my starter and again 30mins to get my main course, in the mean time I would see other table orders being served who came late after me. So it was almost 1hr after my order I got the main course. I had to repeat 5 times requesting for hot water. I had to wait 10mins in the end to get finger bowl. Was really upset waiting and thought to cancel the order and leave. I would never this place again and recommend not to visit.
J had a worst experience there. I ordered paneer Sahi Korma and served palak paneer. And second time again I ordered Paneer Sahi Korma and served me with palak. I am not what kind of of chef is that who prepared paneer Shahi Korma with palak. I was so disappointed with this chief. When I asked about this, the staff argued with me that here we serve like this. I will not prefer this restaurant further to anyone.
‘Bharjari Oota’ (Grand meals), for affordable cost is one of the specialities. One can eat tummy full food with two restrictions, (1) Holige, only one is served and (2) one ice cream cone at the end of the meals. One special attraction is that, the service people wear a special headgear called ‘Muttale’ which is traditionally famous in coastal and malnad areas of Karnataka. This is made is arecanut inflorescence sheath. Extra muttales are also kept for the people for photo purposes. No parking space.
Food is good and reasonably priced. But I wasnt too pleased with the interiors of the restuarant, the colours were loud and not much air and natural light. It is a AC hall but appeared very suffocating.
Good place for South Indian food. Don't order North Indian food here. You will be disappointed. The place will be mostly crowded because of the location.
Good fast food darshini type south Indian restaurant. Masala Mallige idli is very good Sometimes it is over crowded and you need to hold your plates in hand and eat.
I am seeing this restaurant from past 15 years and they have been consistent in their food quality and taste that is what makes this place this restaurant a very good option one other thing is it's quite economical so anybody can just moin and have good and nice food The only things which lacks is the cleanliness and maintenance which is as safe as any other typical South Indian restaurants you will get both North Indian cuisine South Indian cuisine and Chinese cuisines do not expect any multi-cuisine experience like Mediterranean Italian and Continental dishes here
Food is somewhat fine but Service is ok ok.we had ordered chocolate fudge and it was nowhere near to the actual taste. They had used caramel as chocolate sauce. Plz don't prepfer ice creams in ud.
