The work is really good quality and the finish is much better than the standard stuff you get at channapatna.
They also have kurtas, shirts and sarees.
Good spot for buying gifts, trinkets and stuff for your house

Great place for traditional toys from India. But also beautiful innovative alternate uses of such wooden toys (jewelry, door stoppers, bottle openers, lamps). Very interesting collection of shirts, kurtas and saris. Very nicely and creatively run store.

Varnam is a really cool place to visit. I was on a mission to find gifts for friends and relatives, something unique and local, and Varnam did not disappoint.
The designs are really minimalist and clean. The fact that the pieces are done by leveraging the same techniques as the Channapatna toys gives them a wonderful look. Suffice to say, I am a highly satisfied customer.
The service was polite and professional, the store associate was able to help me find and buy the exact things I was looking for. Will visit Varnam again for sure.
