Excellent stay. Rajeev sir was very polite and excellent human. He explained a lot about the places around Gokarna and their history as well. Food served was top class and we wanted to book another round of stay just for the food served. Rooms were excellent and well maintained. Pool was super cool and clean. One thing for sure everytime we come to Gokarna the stay is gonna be Vedic Village.

After searching so many hotels and homestays we have found this place and turned out be excellent choice. Room is very clean at good location with well maintained pool. The main highlights are hospitality by Rajesh and his wife and the amazing food. I bet you will never find this much high quality and tasty food anywhere in gokarna. I loved the food so much and this is by far the best food i had in karnataka.

The stay was fantastic. Serene environment. Spacious rooms. Best option for families to stay here and enjoy in the private pool, which is the USP. Food served is authentic konkani. The owner, Mr. Rajeev Bailkeri and his wife ensure that the stay is comfortable. Their hospitality is amazing. A must visit place to stay and have a pleasant and unique holiday.

We stayed for 2 nights at Vedic Village Gokarna and the experience was absolutely amazing. Please find the detailed review:

1. The Rooms: The rooms are amazing with great amenities and cleanliness. We booked one entire villa for 5 people and there were two rooms one the ground and one on the first floor. Both the rooms have individual attached bathroom and toilet. There is a private pool on the ground floor.
2. The Amenities: The rooms were provided with all the required modern amenities like King sized Bed, 8 inch Mattress on the ground floor, big sofa, dressing table, wardrobe, extra mattresses, etc. There is ample space on the ground floor for 5 people to sleep. The ground floor room has airconditioning while the top one doesn't. This isnt a big concern as all the members can acomodate in the ground floor as ample extra beds are provided. The private pool is very well maintained. There is a swing near the pool and the entire property is picturesque. Free parking is provided
3. The Breakfast: Complimentary breakfast is included in the cost and it is the main highlight of the stay. Authentic uttara kannada items are served in the breakfast and it is amazing. Do not miss the breakfast at any cost. Inform in advance about your breakfast timings. Rajeevji is very accomodative and it was very kind of him to serve us early breakfast.
4. Food: There isn't an inhouse restaurant at this place but you can order from the nearby hotels which deliver here (eg. OPEN AIR FISHLAND). There are ample plates, glasses, spoons, pans even to cook food. A working gas stove is provided in the room to heat and cook food.
5. Contacts: Rajeevji has pasted the important contact nos of Cab agencies, boating operators, autorickshaw providers, bike rentals etc in the entrance itself.
6. The Host: Rajeevji is an amazing host and goes out of the way to ensure that your stay is pleasant. He has great knowledge of Gokarna and the places around and make sure to speak with him for any doubts in your itinerary. The other members of the family (like madam and his mother) are also very kind to speak to.
7. Booking and Cost: We paid 6000 rs per night for 5 members incl breakfast in Oct 2023 which was asolutely worth. The pricing is very economical and it was complete value for money. You have to contact the host on call and complete the booking. Rajeevji provided the complete details of the amenities over email and videos on whatsapp. Currently there is no online booking available.
8. Overall: I absolutely loved my stay at Vedic Village and would come back whenever I am back in Gokarna. Rajeevji was a wonderful host and I felt like I was staying at my home with known people. Thanks for the amazing service and keep it up.

Rajeev Ji hosted us really well, the stay offers you a good experience if you're looking for a culturally rich stay. The rooms are very neat and spacious has a private pool.

Hands down the best place to stay in Gokarna!

We were a family of four and stayed here for 2 days and we felt very warm & homely.

Rajeev sir, the owner of the homestay is warm and hospitable to his guests.
He is a bundle of knowledge and shares great info about Gokarna history / temples / tourism / cuisine. It was great conversing on a lot of these topics during our meals and this also helped us in finalizing our travel itinerary

The food served here is authentic gokarna cuisine and Rajeev sir himself prepares this food. We were anxiously waiting for each meal on what local dishes we would get to eat!

The homestay / villa was extremely nice and had the old world charm of a heritage style house but still with modern amenities. There were 2 bedrooms (one on each floor) along with a small garden and a private pool (which was very clean!). Additionally there was a lot of information and anecdotes about various historical aspects throughout the villa.

The homestay is just around a km away from the Mahabaleshwar temple and also near to the main beach, so, it's convenient from a location perspective for both tourists who are on a pilgrimage tour as well as those who are on a vacation.

Overall, it has left us with a memorable experience and we look forward to staying here whenever we visit Gokarna in the future.

We stayed here for 2 days and we felt very warm and homely. The owner of the homestay is very hospitable and welcomes and treats all guests very well. He himself cooks most of the menu. He serves authentic Gokarna style food. He serves lot of variety of vegetables and the food quantity he cooks is plenty. The food is very tasty. The breakfast is tasty and you would be able to have traditional authentic south Indian dish that probably you will not commonly get in Karnataka restaurants. The food and stay here is very affordable. It is a family friendly place.
Room is clean and good. Private pool for each villa. Each villa with 2 bedrooms can accommodate 4 or more people.

The amazing homestay I’ve ever been privileged enough to stay at. Gorgeous building, and it only gets more breathtaking when you walk in. High quality rooms with private swimming pool is very well maintained.

The owner Mr. Rajeev is a very welcoming and knowledgeable person and he can guide us with tips to enjoy the place to the fullest. The best part is the delicious and hygienic food which is made by him. He had a museum that everyone had to visit with a wide collection of old articles.

I recommend those who are planning to visit gokarna with family especially with kids to stay here to experience a fulfilled stay.

Best bnb I’ve ever stayed in. The most comfortable, warm place in the heart of Gokarna and easily accessible. Extremely good value for money. And Rajeev is the best host, so helpful and so wonderful! Highly highly recommend.

Coming to the place - It’s a beautiful house with 2 awesome cottages with private swimming pool.
Price - Pocket friendly and the host has definitely nailed it keeping it soo affordable for 5k per night with 2 rooms in one cottage.

One of the most beautiful place to stay in gokarna. The cottage is very beautiful with 2 rooms and a swimming pool. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The most amazing part is the food offered. 2 rooms with one ac and another non ac will be provided in a cottage.
Whole family enjoyed and spent time in private swimming pool in our cottage.
Each detail are printed & posted at the respective area. We need not call owner or anyone for any query. First aid kit is hanged at entrance. A gas stove with cylinder will be provided. Breakfast was awesome with authentic gokarna food prepared by Rajeev sir. He explained in detail about gokarna history & even India history. He has a museum at 1st floor with so many collections.

Had a great experience at Vedic village which made us extend the stay by 2 days. The owner was very friendly and had a lot of knowledge to guide us on where to go which day. Made our planning easy. The rooms were clean and ready when we checked-in. Food and private swimming pool was the highlight of our stays.

Food was very tasty and being vegetarian it was a surprise experience where we tasted home made local food. The owner took special attention to cook certain local food specially made for our boys.

Our two boys had great time in the hotel. A very different and great experience at this place.

We stayed here during April this year, it was really a great and pleasure stay for us. I really had great respect for the owner as he was very much supportive and welcoming all the time. Food is the top notch here, though it’s purely a vegetarian meals, we liked it very much the varieties, taste and cleanliness.

Quite an experience visiting this place. The owner is very welcoming and knowledgeable person. He can go on and on about the history of gokarna, its culture and the food. He himself prepares the food for all the guests. The taste is top notch. Its pure authentic experience. The property is also well maintained, clean sheets, toilets and even the pool is well maintained. Worth a visit. If you are a party person find a place by the beach. If you like experiences go visit this place.
