Food tasted good, especially hot Idlis, khara Pongal and Khara bath. Chutney served has a unique taste. Gets crowded at times. Finding parking is challenging.
Very famous and old place to have South Indian food. Earlier it was in a small place now they have expanded the place and have few seats to sit. It is self service place with sitting arrangements.
Recommend: Idly vade chow chow bath. They also have Shavige bath and Bisibele bath to try. And hot strong coffee to end.
Very good taste from many decades.they have not changed the quality of food they serve.you can order by yourself using self order machine even if it is crowded. I love to have breakfast always here.and it's too near for my residence at Malleshwaram.it's located @Malleshwaram 15th cross.
The oil used for frying vada seems like Palm oil which is very cheap, but the prices charged for vada is high. Very arrogant management and don’t care attitude. No value for money Please avoid this place.
Ordered idly, vada, kara Pongal, Chow chow bath. To begin with they packed food with too many plastic containers. Pongal had no dal, it was just rice. Vada soaked in too much oil. Idly was flat like dosa piece. Chutney too Salty. Will never order again.
The food was sooo freaking good! A very Small & heritage vintage shop in Malleshwaram which provides the softest & the fluffiest idlis I've had! It is least crowded @ 7. AM, post which the queue starts to grow at a rapid rate like hanumanthana Bala
This is the most Awesome melt-in-the-mouth Idlis like butter. The chutney was of coconut? Green chillies going well with both steaming idli and hot hot vada. Loved the old school vibes of the place with the taste.
South Indian breakfast can't be better than this Veena stores serves tiffin as breakfast is called in Bangalore variety of dishes like bisi Idli, medu vada, kara bath and Kesari bath, shavige bath alias vermicelli bath, and bisibelebath I usually use to have my breakfast one more thing the owners of the shop were so humble and nice people being so famous they were very down to earth and friendly & courteous
Must try Awesome Idlies/Chutney. Other dishes are good too. Neat & Clean & hygiene, Crowded most of the time, have to stand & eat. Self service, Celebrity addda, Never suffered any stomach upset or other issues, coz they don’t use any kind of preservatives They use-disposable areca plates & spoons.
One of the oldest & famous eateries around Malleshwaram. Still this eatery maintaining their quality throughout these many decades it’s really amazing &
Their Idli Vada is probably the best in Bangalore. ? 5/5
Small joint but the food is very tasty. They have less items in their menu but all of them are served fresh and tastes good. One can stand and eat near the store. If you reach early you will not have wait in long queue but after 9am there is a bug queue here. Idli is very soft.
One of the softest idli and crispy wada i had ever had was here.this is one of the famous eateries in banglore.they offer idli wada without sambar only with coconut chutney but the taste is simply of next level.the place is usually opens at 6am in the morning and by noon mostly they close.so if u want to go there u must be early in the morning
Best place to have idli and vada in Bangalore.the food is awesome and is a must visit in the mornings if you are new to Bangalore You can also try the kesari bath and upma here, they are extremely tasty and worth every rupee you spend on it. The queue outside is a little troublesome, but the wait is worth it. They don't use onions or garlic while making the food here
This is a very good place to have breakfast/snacks or quick bites. Quality of food is too good. Idly- vada- chatney is superb here. Also coffee is good. But there is a long queue, due to huge rush here. So you have to wait with more patience. But it is worth of visit.
Taste is ok for me. We tried here idli vada and savagebath. To get the food you have to stand in a line.its ok. Good.but pollution is heavy. No proper place to stand and eat.
One of the landmark tiffin rooms/restaurants of Bangalore. They haven't changed over the years at all! Very disciplined crowd standing in queue with patience! Soft idlies, crispy vada, delicious shavige bath and aromatic coffee - one can't ask for anything better. The only thing I wished today was that the salt was a pinch less!
I guess there is no Bangalorian who has never tasted these signature dishes. If you have not! Irrespective of which corner you stay in Bangalore you must visit Veena Store.
This iconic place continues to serve good food. What has changed is the Vada which played its role in making this place iconic. It was once a tasty big, wide as one's palm, but now it's as big as a five rupee coin. It was difficult to digest, but looks like this is what gets served.
Veg Old Cum very pure veg and very affordable and very neat and best place. I can see many people prefer to eat here because of there rich great food. People standing descently in queue for token and for food.
Good soft hot idli vada with pudina chutney and chowc how Bath noodles neatly served and home package available CV also book by phone also home delivery by swiggy and other s
Best place to have breakfast. The coffee and tea is the best here. Must try. Idlis are very soft and tasty, upma is good, can be better. 4 stars because, the chutney taste is not good, too watery & the person at the billing counter has a lot of attitude and frown face always, as if people eat there for free.in the end, its the customer service that works, a smile would work better. Hope they improve.
The place has huge fan following. The place serves superb puliyogare. The quantity is little less and it closes really fast. A must visit if one is in malleshwaram.
One of the oldest eateries in Bangalore.well, it was really good few years ago.but now I feel there are better places that offer good breakfast snacks. Of course lest not to mention one can still try out for early morning breakfast Viz. Idlis, vada, sweet pongal Which I suggest good to taste.just that please have patience to stand in the queue and eat on the roadside if not particular for a sitting place.
The best bisi bele bath i ever had.they have maintained same taste from long time.amazing and authentic flavours.it's purely veg and they don't use onion or garlic in their food.
