Myself along with my family went for Schengen (Italy) tourist visa as per appointment on 20/05/2024 at 9: 45 AM at VFS, Bannerghatta Road, Bengaluru.
The entire process was slow but was completed with all formalities done and necessary documents submitted along with passports. The person on the counter said it will take 15 days to receive the visa from Italian Consulate. Now, it’s 20 days over still we didn’t get the visas. There is no update or communication from the other end. We exactly don’t know what to do and whom to contact? Please help.

My experience about Bangalore.there is a lot of training to do, also Bangalore is cheaper an alive nice view like Nandihills Mountains my advice if you visit India you have to visit Bangalore. Thank you

Opted for a premium lounge in getting the paper work done easily when there is a rush. Since it is the location given to the majority of people in Banglore. They could have added some more seating facilities, so that the people who accompanied dont need to struggle much.

It appeared that VFS global people at the counter needs to be properly educated, trained and clearly instructed that they have been appointed to help and assist applicants and not to harass them. In any case they are not the final authority to grant a visa but a TP facilitator to make the visa application smooth. They need to thoroughly check all attached papers before raising silly issues and then shown the same in attached papers. How could one ask for an "appointment letter" from an applicant when the approval letter from the company allowing international tour had been submitted along with the application? Why is it not clarified that with photocopy of a nine year old Schengen visa first and last page of the expired passport is mandatory? Why instructions are kept incomplete and vague? Does it not indicate that excess charges by photocopier has a beneficiary? Compared to Bangalore passport office this place has carefully been made a place for putting applicants in trouble.
Why is it not mentioned anywhere that only "Cash" payments are accepted, especially where there is no ATM in Gopalan Mall. Why people at the cash counter state that "today there is some technical issue, hence only cash being accepted". How does VFS global expect applicants to carry huge amount of cash while all over India digital payments have become the norm discouraging cash transactions. Why is it mentioned that card payments are also accepted to mislead applicants? A screenshot below is attached as a proof of modes of payment.

The standard response from VFS global management does not give any confidence but only shows the indifferent attitude of the management.

Overall a poor experience.

I have been trying to get an appointment at VFS visa application center at Bangalore for my parents for Schengen Visa through online system but it simply displays that no appointment is available without giving any further information or option. There seems to be no way to get an appointment!

Pls I request VFS team to update locations and functional offices. Shivaji Nagar office in Bangalore is not functional. It's only at Shantinagar.

Extremely responsive with the queries and polite. Even took care of additional requests to deliver my passport earlier. Hepled me alot.

They are doing home service, if you option the service appointment are not required else you will not get appointment, they are making money not support and will not guarantee you will get visa or not
Their work is like Postman job and charges for doorstep service more then 10000 Rs per person

Easy to have your work done.it is a small space so there are very limited number of waiting spaces so be early but not too early that you have to wait for a long time.passport pick up was very simple.bring a government issued ID card, a copy of that along with you visa appointment confirmation print out.no water is allowed but phones are although it should be switched off.there is parking but there is also fee you have to pay for that. The VAC is on the second floor to your right as there aren’t many ppl who tell you where exactly to go.have a good experience.

I got my visa& passport collected back just in 10 minutes. Everything was systematic. People know their job. Nice place. Keep up the good work. Thank you so much. God bless you all.

The place is very quiet and its for visa documents submission and collection center.
There is a queue system and you have to follow the queue system. Service is very fast and the staff were very accommodating.
I had a very engaging conversation with collection officer. He explained all the process and guided the way forward.

Really unhappy with the experience. They charged me extra Rs. 5000/- with my visa fees for a package which included an international sim, courier charges, etc. But I didn't get the sim. When I asked them about it they told me that I will get it upon arrival to UK. When I reached and asked my co-travellers then I realized the truth I have been charged extra without getting benefits. Worst centre I should say

Good covid measures. Make sure to take photocopies of your ID cards. You'll need them for most tasks here and they don't specify it explicitly beforehand.

First of all there is no online service for UAE visa only UK. Secondly the timings are incorrect online and there is no POC as well. Email takes more than 2 days to respond. We have travelled 3 times this just because these people don't want to be in office.plus the security guards have no idea of the timings.

Work is very fast as there was no que or crowd. On going there, we are informed that we need to carry a copy of the passport and a photo identification copy, which will be signed in front of the officer who delivers the passport stamped with Visa.
This information is not available on the website or on the notice board.
Fortunately a photo copying shop was available within 100 meters. Otherwise it would have been a big problem for the customers, who come all the way to collect passport.
Hope the concerned will address this issue.

They do not value people’s time. I’m a working woman and took half day off for this. I checked and rechecked the list to make sure I had all the documents.
I was applying for Croatia visa.

1. The checklist says - 3 months bank statements required.
I got the Jan/ Feb/ Mar statements as April is not done yet and I don’t have the statement.
The lady insisted I need 4 months including April and ‘signed and sealed by the bank’.

Why doesn’t the check list say so?

2. I am traveling with my husband and kids - nowhere does it mention that share their passport copies- apparently I have to share as they are going along! They are American citizens and don’t need a visa. But I need to share their passport copies.

3. Says get your passport copies - I got the front and back page of all my three passports. They then insisted they need a copy of every page of every passport I hold!

I have travelled the globe and have given up a green card. Do they really need to harass me this way? I got the every single document on the check list.

They have a junior person sitting at the counter and there is no way but to oblige.

A beautiful country but a terrible way to welcome people.

Sorry VfS global - you surely need to get your act together!

Went for a UK visa today. Most harrowing experience! We left home at 11Am, reached just before 12noon which was our appointment and were made to wait downstairs for 16 minutes until after 12. Then sent upstairs. The security removed some chocolates from my bag. I explained that I suffered from low sugar and needed it. She still insisted and confiscated them saying it was procedure. If it was procedure they should have let us know before hand. In any case she should have used her common sense. It was for medical reasons!
Then we went to the first counter to get s token.the girl there assumed that me and my collegue were mother and daughter and combined all the papers without clarifying. When my collegue explained she half an hour to put them back in order. No apologies.
We got our tokens and went to the main hall. Packed with people watching the screens for their number to come up. No place to sit! We waited for an hour and a half before our numbers were called. In the meanwhile a VFS woman was trying to get people to opt for the premium lounge that woud enable you to jump the queue, get a soft drink and sit in a chair. All for Rs. 2000! Having had that experience the last time which was pretty bad, we didn't want to do that again.
Finally our number was called and the guy checked our papers again! Besides the twenty thousand odd that we paid for fast track, we had to pay another Rs. 700 for courier chatges and sms alerys.
The whole procedure took 45 minutes. Then another wait for biometrics. Here the guy was taking down numbers and Cal ling them out as he pleased. The electronic numbercalling machine was sidelined.
We had now been there for 3 hours, 4 including the drive from home with nothing to eat or drink. 11Am to 4pm!
VFS isnt anything like they claim.in thete brochure. They have NO RESPECT for people, their time or age and health conditions. Making money is their only concern. Next they will auction seats to the highest bidder.
A terrible experience. Don't feel.like traveling if one has to go through this.
VFS should not be the only agency doing this. It should not be a monopoly. There should be at least two or three to choose from. Then service will improve and they will begin to respect people again one hopes!

Dont even deserve one star. Pathetic services. They behave as though we are at their mercy. Money mongers and deserve to be taken to court for harassing people.

This place offers visa service for some countries such as Turkey and Thailand. This is a new branch opened 3months ago. Big plus is parking space and lesser crowd than earlier place near hockey stadium. There is also a photo copy shop and photography shop on 2nd floor just in case if you missed copying one. They have to bring token system like in other VFS offices. I guess they will start it soon.

Please replace blue dart service with some other good delivery service. Blue dart delivery service is irritating, lazy operations. No one in the customer care lifting the call.

All required process is under one roof. Staff is very friendly and cooperative. Actual visa process does not take more than 15 minutes if all your documents are upto date as required. But due to heavy rush overall process might take 2-3 hours at least as you need to wait for your turn. Token system is good so you can sit relaxed at one place till your token number display on screen. So be prepared before visit here.

Could have rated 5* but for making us run around for taking DD for the Visa fees in the last hour when telephonically it was confirmed that they will accept credit card.

Staff is helpful, just need to carry right documents. Contect / call before going because some times it is closed due to international holidays. Paid parking is available.

Timings are 10-4 for passport collection and drop. Parking charges are 50 an hour for a car, so plan your trip properly

Visited for visa Drop down and pick up. Officials are knowledge full and are quick at their job. Always got my job within 15mins.

Well organised, but if you don’t have your documents and want to take any help you will be looted, they take 100 rupees for keeping the computer at security per hour. Advice is have all docs and it’s copy handy and don’t carry computer with you

Staff and Management is very Friendly, My bag was lost in VFS embassy and local staff helped very much to get back my back instantly, Special thanks to Security In-charge "Murugan" for his timely help.

They dont accept card at times. Paid Rs1087 for VFS transmission plus courier fees. Had to submit passport for Canada COPR. No prior appointment required. Approx 30 min waiting time.

Had a good experience but anyone going there MUST carry the exact amount with the change or u might have a bad time like me
