We had a wonderful stay here. The homestay is very beautiful with a scenic view. It is the perfect place to relax with its serene vibe in the middle of nature.

Diana and her husband were an awesome host. The estate tour on 1965 Jeep guided by her husband was exciting and adventurous.
Another highlight was that Diana agreed to adjust our deposit from 2 years back when we had to cancel our Coorg plans due to covid. I have rarely seen people doing this! Also don’t miss the delicious home made food as cooked by Diana!

Overall a perfect homestay in Coorg. Highly recommend!

Our stay at Victorian Varandaz was a wonderful experience. It was our first ever homestay experience and we had an amazing time. I absolutely loved this Cozy Victorian cottage "Rustica". Diana Ma'am and Thim sir are exceptional hosts. They are extremely welcoming and kind-hearted. Thim sir is very passionate about his coffee estate. I wonder how he manages it. I absolutely loved his private museum. The breakfast and dinner served by Diana ma'am was out of this world. I have never tasted such delicious south Indian food till now. She has an amazing hand in cooking. Tried filter coffee for the first time and loved it, even my 1 year old daughter loved the filter coffee. My 7 years old daughter Shrine loved loved loved delicious Ghee Rice. She often remembers Aunt Diana and her ghee rice. She once asked me if Diana aunty can send ghee rice via Zomato.
I would highly recommend Victorian Varandaz for anyone willing to have a calm and peaceful time off from the hustle and bustle of city life.

Out stay at Victorian Verandahs was a welcome respite. The hosts Diana and Thim are wonderful people who make you feel at home, the rooms were cosy and bathrooms are absolutely clean. Diana is a great cook and we were served some yummy traditional food. The view from the main bungalow is breathtaking. Their dog Ozzy, a gentle giant, is great company. This place deserves five Stars. Keep up the good work folks!

Was a really great experience we stayed at Rustica, Thim and Diana are the by far best hosts I have seen, u get a great breakfast a round of the coffee estate and the view u can also ask for a bone fire. Everything is so well maintained

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Victorian Verandaz and it was an experience I'll never forget. The homestay is located on a 150 year old coffee plantation, providing a beautiful and peaceful setting. CC and Diana Thimmaiah, the owners and managers of the homestay, were incredibly welcoming and made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
The homestay itself is a beautiful old house with modern amenities. The rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The highlight of our stay was sitting on the verandah, enjoying a cup of freshly brewed coffee, directly from the plantation, while taking in the beautiful views.
The food served at the homestay was delicious. We especially enjoyed the traditional Coorgi dishes that were served.
One of the unique features of this homestay is the opportunity to go on a coffee plantation tour. CC took us on a tour of the plantation and showed us the entire coffee-making process, from the planting of the coffee beans to the washing and drying of the coffee. It was an informative and interesting tour that we thoroughly enjoyed.
In addition to the coffee plantation tour, CC also took us to a viewpoint on the plantation which offered breathtaking views of the valley below. He also showed us a waterfall on the plantation which was a refreshing sight to see.
What made our stay even more special was the personal touch that CC and Diana added. They took time out of their busy day to give us a tour of their museum of old artifacts from the plantation and their personal collection. We were fascinated by the rich history of the plantation and the area. Moreover, they also spent time with us having many conversations, which added to the overall warmth of the homestay.
Overall, Victorian Verandaz is a wonderful homestay that provides a unique and memorable experience. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing stay in the heart of a coffee plantation.

One of the best properties! We enjoyed our stay in this serene place! Victoria Verandaz blends with the past & present in terms of architecture, design & amenities… You also get very delicious food served for breakfast & dinner! Close by to a city & couple adventure spots too. Has an excellent walking trial for a peaceful walk in the morning sound the estate. We got a lovely companion Ozy-the-dog that showed us the path & spots! Best place to relax & rejuvenate. I would strongly recommend Victoria Verandaz to everyone!

It was our third trip to Victorian verandaz, as we love soaking in the nature at this gorgeous estate. The morning walks, the clean air and the tasty food make this. Perfect place to rejuvenate. Diana is a wonderful host and she makes the stay very comfortable.

I stayed with my family at Victorian Verandaz. A lovely homestay in the midst of coffee and pepper plantation in Coorg. Mr. Thimaiah gave us a tour of their coffee estate in his 1960's Willys and show's his amazing antiquities collection Mrs. Diana is very kind and helpful serve us a tasty breakfast and surprising deserts at night our room is very neat and clean and veranda is the USP of their properties. We had visited many sites in Coorg but found out that Victorian Verandaz is the best site to explorer

Our go to place in Madikeri! Here are some sketches from our trip this time. Thimmaih sir and Diana ma'am always make us feel at home. They always provide the right guidance to go around in Madikeri.

It is a perfect place to stay in Coorg. Very beautiful place in the middle of coffee plantation surrounded by very beautiful nature. They are very lovely people you will feel like a home and breakfast is awesome. The rooms are cozy with all the amenities (Wi-Fi, hot water, power backup, gas supply with gas stove with all the kitchen wares, microwave oven is also present). We slept like a child and your morning will be welcomed by beautiful sunlight and melodious sound of birds and of-course with awesome breakfast. If you are going to Coorg then must stay here (you would miss a life time experience if you didn't stay here). I can say our stay was much much awesome that sight seeing. The dinner epically the pineapple curry they provided was just delicious. Thanks Thimayaa for everything, you are awesome.

This is a wonderful homestay in the midst of Scenic coorg.a real gem.

It is a working coffee and pepper plantation, with work at full flow. As Thimiah, our gracious host mentions " there is no point in visiting Coorg unless you see the working of a plantation" and that is very true. He will take you around in his red 1960's Willys to show you the hustle and bustle of the plantation as well as the tour of his estate with its own personal waterfall and viewing point, His collections of antiquities is also amazing. Do engage in a conversation on golf as he is an avid golfer.

The accommodation is basic but very good. Very clean and well locked after property with hot water and essentials provided. The hosts make sure that you are well looked after. They even provided with insect sprays to protect you against the elements.

Diane is an amazing host and an even excellent cook. The traditional breakfast was yummy as well as the amazing dinner which was cooked and served to us. My desire for having a indigenous cup of black coffee was also catered too. I cannot stop praising the hospitality my old parents and me received at this property.

Although this property is very serene, it is slightly off road. Hence the use of your own car or a taxi would benefit you. Alternatively Diane arranges it for you.

This property was recommended by some friends who frequent it often and it did not disappoint. Would definitely visit again.

A bunch of us stayed there during a school get together. We got to stay at the Rustica and Hermitage cottages which are traditional, homely and cosy. The place takes you back in time while offering you all the comforts you need.
Diana and Thimaiah are lots of fun and excellent hosts at the same time. You’ll surely come back knowing much more of what the real old Coorg and the Kodavas are all about.

My first ever homestay experience and it has set high standards. Diana and Thimaihah are absolute loving personalities and host. You get to experience a typical Coorgie lifestyle, stunning views over coffee estate, delicious breakfast everyday, neat & clean rooms all at affordable price. If you want to get close to the nature, this is the place.

Our stay at victorian varandaz is just awesome.food is fantabulous. The owners are very genuine and honest people. All over greenary and very pleasant environment. Just one suggestion pls put high voltage bulb so that in the night feel refreshing. I will give 5 out of 5 for home stay as it take us the experience like heaven

The Victorian Verandaz is a sprawling coffee plantation about 8kms east of Madikeri, managed by 5th-generation owners.

My wife and I stayed at The Hermitage, a cute little 150yr old cottage with a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable bedroom, and a huge bathroom complete with an antique Copper Vat of hot water, heated with firewood from outside, by a caretaker!

We stayed 3 Nights and were extremely happy with the property. Rustic, clean, and away from the maddening bustle! Admirably taken care of by the owners, a lovely couple- the very friendly Thimaiah and his charming wife, Diana. And good ole Ozzy, the estate canine!

Breakfast was a hearty homemade fare, dropped off at the cottage early morning in a basket that included Coorgi delicacies, bread, eggs, a carton of milk, and a bottle of fresh coffee decoction.

We highly recommend this property to anyone looking for the actual experience of a homestay deep inside authentic Coorg territory. (They also offer regular room stays)
The approach roads are smooth and comfortable. Though the final stretch of about 1.5kms is rough, it is motorable. And once you enter the gates, serenity and pure nature take over!

Just give them a call and go for it!

This was our second time to victorian verandas. We had been there last year also and while on our trip to Karnataka this year, we specially went to VV just to have that lovely homely experience, to be in nature, and most important to meet Daina and Thimmaiaha. This place and these two lovely people have something captivating that you will remember always. Their hospitality will make you feel that you are visiting close friends or relatives. The property is huge with spectacular views and one can have a nice and pleasant nature experience. Trekking in this property is like adventure and meditation at the same time. Rooms are clean, bathrooms are spacious, food is delicious everything is perfect. We enjoyed the time we spent with Diana and Thimmaiaha. Overall VV is one of the best experiences to have.

Had a marvellous stay at The Hermitage, Victorian Verandaz. Away from the city, in the middle of coffee country and a coffee estate with great trails. Added to that is the wonderful couple who hosted us Thimaya and Diana. Would highly recommend it to anyone who is out to discover the real Coorg.

It’s a beautiful place. They have 100 acres of coffee estate with a private waterfall and museum. They have friendly dog Mr. Ozzy.
The food was just awesome with more and more varieties.

We have a great experience at Victorian Verandaz. The home stay maintains the historical character yet updated with modern amenities. The location is close to the city while being far enough to be a quiet retreat. The service and food was authentic to the region and excellent.

I heartily recommend Victorian Verandaz to anyone looking for an experience that is unique.

We had an awesome experience with Victorian Verandaz. I went with my parents and they are highly impressed with this place and the hospitality of the hosts Thimmaiah and Diana. It has a relaxed, calm location inside a green well maintained coffee estate far away from the noise of the city; the hospitality from the hosts was warm and generous and above all everything was provided in a reasonable price range.
The property is located inside a 100 acre coffee estate. We stayed in the Rustica cottage which was 5 mins away from the residence of Mr. Thimmaiah. They were following up with me from their end intermittently after I booked their property. After our arrival, both Thimmaiah and his wife Diana gave us a warm welcome and guided us to the cottage. The cottage was ready with the clean rooms, water and snacks. I had booked one room with 3 beds but they provided us two rooms, one room as complementary. There were clean sheets, blankets and towels. We had a kitchen and a living cum dining area. The wash rooms were spacious and clean. The kitchen was fully furnished. They provided tasty breakfast in the morning with one cooked breakfast, bread, butter, jam, eggs etc. Coffee powder, tea, coffee decoction, milk packets were provided for us to make tea/coffee. Free WIFI was available. We stayed there for two nights.
They took us on a jeep tour to their estate. They have a huge estate with a small private waterfall inside it. Mr. Thimmaiah has a great taste in preserving his ancestral treasures. He showed us his collections of his family artifacts. He has converted his 150 years old family home to this cottage with very minimal modernization. The place had a positive vibration that attracted us the most. We truly enjoyed our stay to the fullest.
This place is a must visit for those who love to enjoy nature far from the city. I strongly recommend this stay to whoever is visiting Madikeri.

It's been over 2 weeks, since our 3 day stay at RUSTICA - VICTORIAN VERANDAZ.and we haven't stopped going through all the beautiful pics of our fantabulous stay there. Mrs Diana and Mr Thimmaiah, are such wonderful hosts.yummilious Coorgi dishes.well maintained rooms without compromising the Rustic taste.a wonderful drive around the vast dense coffee estate. We are already looking forward to an encore! While the beautiful greens of our own hometowns have faded into memories.the RUSTICA stay was like time travel.back to calm serene nature that we enjoyed as kids during our summer vacations. For all those who want to immerse themselves in the calm, rejuvenating and invigorating Mother Nature.head out to The VICTORIAN VERANDAZ. We have had an amazing exprience @ Victorian Varandaz during our 3 day stay in January, 2022. The haspitality from Diana and Thimaiyah adds warmth to the serene beauty, calm, close to nature experience this 100 acre coffee plantation offers. Starting from a beutiful, fresh sunrise to vibrant but mysteriously quiet sunsets and evenings.its all very fufilling experience. Overall, it's a perfect getaway from city. We wish we could have stayed longer. The food prepared by Diana is Coorg delicacy at its best. Ozzy, their farm dog, is adorable, offers a great company and guide to wander around the property by yourself. We wish the Diana-Thimaiyah-Ria-Ozzy family all the very best. Thankyou for such unforgettable memories.

Victorian Verandaz is located in heart of Nature. It has all things needed for perfect refreshment.
Lots of tree, perfect landscape, great Rooms and most importantly great host.
The new addition to the place is their own private Museum. It is really cool.

Stayed there for 3 days, just me and my 9 yr old son.right in middle of coffee plantation, this is a 150yr old house where some antique items are still preserved over generations. Great hosts. Diana Mam made sure we were comfortable.provided great local cuisine for breakfast. Thimmiah sir showed us around his plantation in his jeep.great passion. Access road could be tricky but once you are in you wouldn’t really care. A warm couple who genuinely likes to host and take good care of their guests.thank you so much.

This was my second time visiting Diana & Thimaiah in the last year. It's just 6km from the town, which makes it very convenient for sightseeing.
Diana's dinners are amazing, which makes the entire experience brilliant. Thimaiah's tour around the estate is a lot of fun (especially if he takes you in his vintage Willy's Jeep).
This is a perfect place to getaway from the city life and just take in life peacefully.
Look forward to visiting many more times.

We were two people and we were provided with the cottage named hermitage
This place is remotely located away from hustle and bustle of the city
But has great service and amenities which might shy away some of the biggest lodges around

The wifi speed was great,
The food was excellent and the quantity they provide you with is just tremendous
They provide you with traditional coorg food

This property is more than 100 years old
They have 100 acres of land and scenic views and also have a waterfall in the estate

Mr. Thimaiah and his wife Diana were a great host and not to forget their pet dog Ozzie he was just love ️
