Vijayshree Resort & Heritage Village

Checked in for three days, room experience was poor with dirty bed linen and choked drains. Left the hotel in two days due to poor response and excess charging by the staff despite different details given at Check in. Manager gave an excuse that rooms are old and would undergo renovation after new hotel complex is made

We are at the Spices restaurant today. It was not very busy. The wait staff were excellent and so was the food. They have their own farm and dairy as well. Food spice level can be adjusted. Just a very pleasant experience. Thanks to Bhaskar, Ravi, Pritam and chef Nibir. Highly recommend

Had a wonderful stay for 3 nights. This resort is easily reachable from Railway station. Staffs are very polite and extend good service. This resort provide Vegetarian food only. Spa services are provided by famale staff only.

It is a really very beautiful place, very Rajasthani vibes and Mahal like resort, highly recommended

Decor and rooms are 13 years in the past. Needs a serious update. Food had poor taste to value ratio. Your buck with go farther anywhere else. A great location with good service isn't enough to elevate overall experience beyond average.

The whole yard is beautifully built. But not maintained. Seems like there was money and it was spent. The service for such 4/5 star is extremely and pathetically slow. We waited for 30 min to get the car to pick up. 30 min to get umbrella. Charged us 2500 for EV charging vs 250 rs, from private EV charging point which we ignored thinking hotel is better. Breakfast both days didn't have all dishes. I mean the gardens, the place is beautiful. But what to do without the staff supporting it? The rooms huge large, but minimal amenities and like 80s Design, which doesn't go with the present requirements.

The rooms and room service could have been much better.
There is no cloth hangers provided to dry clothes. Had to ask more than three times to housekeeping for several kits like dental, towels etc. TV wasn't working and almost took 2 out of 3 stay days to fix.
Restaurant service is good and the staff are friendly but the prices are ridiculous.
The location however is really good and quiet. Lots of greens and serene place to sit and have a cup of Chai!

We had a pleasant stay except a few hiccups. The food was awesome however the room service charges were bloated. We tried the thali and liked it. There is scope on improving the day to day kits that is provided to the guests. I was expecting high since i checked the place online but the reality was bit different. The resort is very good and with huge well maintained garden and one shud definitely explore that. You will find a lot of birds in the place. The staff was amicable and warm.
I tried spa and honestly did not like it much since there were two therapist talking to each other during the session. The massage technique was fine however the sync was missing between two therapist. Also the post massage cleanup again had no proper Toiletries, I was highly disappointed with such minor thing compared to the money I paid.

Recently I stayed in Vijayshree resort. Very sprawling campus with nice green. Hospitality was very good. Very nice restaurant though only serving vegetarian cuisines. Tasty food. Good and quick room service. It is worth spending time there and relaxing. This resort is almost equidistant from Hospete to Hampi.

The hotel is good the rooms are good but the only problem is the food is too too costly. In the cafe in the hotel bread butter is 275 rs plus taxes. This is insane you cannot charge so much for bread butter so normal people like us have to go outside and have food so it becomes difficult. They should charge normal rates for food

Very nice resort with close proximity to Hampi's historical monuments. Lot of open space and beautifully decorated gardens gives you tranquility.

Visited this resort for a marriage function. It would say the ambience and service they provided was very good.
They do provide services like restaurants, spas, swimming outdoor and indoor function halls and many more.
Overall it was a good to hang out on family trip to hampi

Very good place, very clean, peaceful, good staff very helpful. Very large green space and swimming pool, good food. Real enjoyment along with sightseeing.

Rooms are comfortable and clean. The campus is huge and very beautiful - trees, lawns etc
Cons - we need to park cars at the entrance and need to walk around 500m to reach the rooms
Not much earing options. We were going out nearby restaurants for dinner

First of all this is not a five star property.

2 or 3 star would be justified.

Rooms are old, not properly maintained, common areas are good and with scenic backgrounds.

Specially rooms are not at all justified for its cost. Feels like you are staying In some lodge.

Food is OK, don’t have much options to eat.

Cafe 24: is also ok, outside tea/ coffee would be better from here I feel.

But overall experience is pathetic.

Bathrooms are not maintained, bath water used to spill all over Bathroom. BathTub not working it is only a show piece.

Pros,
- The Resort is clean.
- In between Hampi and Hospete, so travel becomes very easy.
- The Garden View HeIs very beautiful.

Cons,
- Food Options are limited and too expensive, If you have a car / travel arrangements then you will get better, healthier food in Hospete.
- The rooms are too far (10 mins walkable distance) from the in-house resturant. Although there is a Cafe nearby which opens at 4/5 PM and closes early, there is no lunch / dinner avaliable, only Tea, coffee and snacks are avaliable.
- Overall the Room Service for Resturant is too slow, they do not allow you to get the Resturant food in your Hotel Room (Villas that are 10 mins walkable distance), may be this because of less staff.

I had the most horrible experience at my stay at your Hampi resort…can’t imagine which Limca book of records they are talking about. The service is horrible. The rooms are worst than 2 star hotel rooms. Bathrooms have no amenities, not even a body lotion or hand towel. My request for hand towel took 3 reminders and 6 hours to be fulfilled. There is no activity for kids. The food options are pathetic. There are no options and one is forced to eat it what they serve. For last 3 days they have been serving Paneer makhanwala for lunch and dinner…can you imagine! Today at 6.30 I asked for French fries and after almost pleading they agreed to make 2 plates for me but refused to deliver it to the room and I had to carry the tray myself all the way to the room. They have no facility or options for room service. I can go on and on with my list of complains and probably it won’t even matter to you

It was good they had horse riding and camel ride it was good we need to stay 2 days to explore the full resort

I don't know why they can't repair their own entrance Road which is just hardly 70 - 80 meters.so many potholes. Rooms are Not that well maintained. Only outside greenery is good. Food is not that tasty as expected waste of money. I recommend you to have lunch dinner or Breakfast at Naivedyam/Mango tree Resturant/Heritage Resort Hampi. (food Quality good at this Resturants).

We had a wonderful stay here. Will recommend to anyone who is visiting Hampi.

Avoid at all costs. Please prefer any other resort if you want peace of mind.
There's 0 hospitality here. Have travelled all across the world but never came across such a resort who charges a premium and provide 0 comfort. Perfect example of how a resort can ruin your holiday.

Checkin time 12pm, rooms not ready till 4pm, Provided one room of other category without even telling us that it's of lower category than what we have booked. After an hour, when asked for help, no response on phone, when reached to reception by walking 400m, the response was that rooms aren't ready and they can't help. Really?

In the evening, asked for room service and the respose was that it's not available? Come on, even a 2 star hotel can provide room service.the only option they gave was to reach restaurant, pay for the buffet dinner and eat. All I wanted was a sandwich and had to pay for something I didn't even want to eat. Absolutely ridiculous.

Don't know why people are giving good reviews, there's nothing good about the resort except the lawns. Substandard rooms, no service available, basics like towels need to be asked to be provided.

Please avoid.

Nice large resort with greenery everywhere. I liked the huge lawns and picturesque cottage setting. Breakfast was good.
They can improve the variety of food options in the restaurant. We don't have much option except to take the veg thali.

Resort is in a nice location has possibility of being a very good resort. However probably due to lack of number of people in their housekeeping staff overall service is very slow. Their food options are very good.both breakfast and Lunch dinner have nice options and variety. This has potential to be a wonderful resort provided they improve their housekeeping service speed and also ensuring all amenities in room work.

Its a very well maintained resort. Huge place with good facilities. Though due to covid many of their services are stopped for time being the place is still worth the stay. Courteous staff. The food is a little expensive comparatively but it tastes great. This resort is definitely worth a visit with family and is one of the best stays in Hampi.

Worst experience in this resort. No response from the staff and management. No pest control in suite rooms. Had to chase a rat out in the midnight. Bad food and atmosphere. Staff are arrogant towards customers.

Again same problem with approach road. Why club Mahindra is not taking care of those things we really don't understand. What for they r taking annual maintenance fees?

Good and vast property, clean and spacious rooms/villas.
We stayed in Heritage Villa and it was a pleasant experience.

Buffet breakfast had limited options but quality is great.
Room service a bit slow considering the long walk towards villas.

Lovely atmosphere, beautiful landscaped garden and greenery, service up to the mark (do not expect a 5 star service). Awesome vegetarian foods.

Good decent place for a family reunion with good vegetarian food, a swimming pool and good ever friendly courteous staff.

Resort is clean, green, and beautiful. The staff is courteous.
The restaurant did not have many items on menu available at the time of our stay. It could have been due to lockdown situation and less guest count.

We stayed four adults and two kids from 5/09/21 to 8/9/21 in two royal haveli cottages, it was such bad experience we ever had, there is no hospitality and customer service, very poor hygiene.don't go by photos and what written in website.its a very old property rooms are smelling bad, bath rooms fittings are broken, when we take shower water is logging all over the bathroom floor, my child got skin infection after visiting this place.limited option in buffet breakfast, even fruits and cornflakes also not available, taste is very bad, for lunch and dinner only Punjabi style that to limited options, in the website they have written Rajastani thali etc.all are fake.one day we ordered milk for baby in the night around 9: 30 they denied by saying its raining outside so they can't serve, next day also we ordered milk for baby and even called reception requested them as children did not like the food and they did not had any food but they did not serve, though it was not raining and we ordered at 8pm itself, we called multiple times to restaurant and reception they keep on saying they will send and they did not send finally they said restaurant is closed.such a terrible service.there are multiple issues, cottages are very far from restaurant you can't walk so you have to use vehicle, difficult for aged people, hot water was a problem in one room, bath tubs are not in working condition, poor lighting in the premises dangerous in the night to walk outside. No children playing area is a big minus for families, Not good for families with children and aged people.

Pathetic resort ever. Would request everyone to not rely on photos posted on their site. They are old. Inside rooms are very unclean, broken doors, broken door locks, no hot water, dirty tiles and smelly rooms.

Worst Resort in hospitality, I had booked through Agoda and they cannot before checking in telling not made payment, though credit card details was given with Agoda. Now not accepting call or reply to my email.

We visited their restaurant. The hospitality is good. It is quite interesting to have the food in big thali. They even permit to share thali between two people. The food was good. We missed their Rajdhani thali, which they don't serve now due to covid. We even checked their rooms, which is quite good.

The resort was just like logging.
No cable connection, no other entertainment. Water pool was closed due to covid. Inspite of all these no benefits in charges.

The setting, cuisine, and friendly personnel that attended to the visitors were all excellent.

This magnificent wedding celebration could not have been put together by a better team.

They say it's a 4 star property, but they don't have any amenities according to the rating.there are 3 restaurants but none of them are functional.more over there is no wifi facility in room.it is the worst resort I have been to

The property along with the room is very well maintained and the staff are very friendly.
All those apart, sad to see a dog tied up to a tree all day near the entrance with no one to give it proper care. Dog was very gentle based on my brief interaction with it, so it shouldn't be an issue to let it free, atleast for sometime throughout the day if not the whole day.
Hope this review brings some attention towards the caring of the dog.

We got the worst service here. Basic amenities like hot water aren't available.maintenance of the room wasn't neat.also the talk with the guests wasn't good.

I visited this place 4 years ago and it replicated Rajasthani experience in food and culture. Spending day in Hampi in the midst of rocks is fine but hardly any activity post sunset. This place hosts lots of Rajasthani activity for their guests. From the traditional puppet shows to rope tricks and camel and horse rides that too with the native breeds which is known to dance, the khatiwara breeds.

To top it all the elaborate dinner which is comparable to chowk-ki-dani in Jaipur. Amazing hospitality and warm gesture greets visitors here.

This place is idea for large families with plenty of in-house activities. They also have a place suitable for destination wedding with all necessary infrastructure.

Vijayshree Resort has a beautiful and scenic ambience surrounded with lush green plantations. It is also awarded with Limca book of world records for planting around 60000 trees in their 17 acre property. The cottages are far away from the entrance. There aren't ferrys to drop us to the cottage. There are frequent power cuts here no matter have good generator backup to cope up.

Can be better. Vijayanagar architecture is missing. Rajasthani theme in Hampi is not relevant. Very slow Room service.
But green lawns and plantation makes you energetic

The paneer achari very salty the ambience not very great for a star hotel. They do not have any options of Rajasthani food and the prices are too high compared to the quality. A special mention that the waiter Govind was very nice and helpful.

Lovely place. Very near to famous Hampi landmarks and Hospet town. They have several packages plus guide is also available. Food availability is vegetarian only. Stay is comfortable and enjoyable. Staff are well mannered and very helpful.

The place is very beautiful if ypu are going there to relax. As they only serve vegetarian food. Place is ideal for vegetarians.
We stayed in royal haveli the rooms are big but the bedding is not so good. They do have bathtub but its not fully functional.
The food seemingly expensive than other places. But breakfast is complimentary.the staff is nice and will guide you for any thing.
You can plan a wedding photoshoot or reception here.its an ideal resort for that.

Rooms have bad odor. Rooms are smelling bad. Do not expect better rooms. Very bad experience. Club mahindra should not be affiliated with such hotels. Lodges near by bus stand are better than this.

We wanted to spend our wedding anniversary in Hampi and I thought staying in a spacious resort would make my wife and kids happy. But the experience we got here was horrible. There were many things mentioned in the booking voucher- traditional welcome, welcome drink, organic farm visit, dairy farm visit etc.in addition to the amenities like swimming pool, indoor games etc. But when asked, they said these were there till last year but stopped now!
We had booked Villa type accommodation. Don't get deceived by the external pictures of the rooms. You get only one half of the building. The room is not at all maintained. Broken window blinds, worn out mattress, intermittently working intercom, TV with no picture clarity.the list continues. Bathroom was full of dirt and even the closet had stains. Bathroom shower hot water mechanism was faulty- you just get either very hot or very cold water. There were no toiletries given, a standard of any 3-star property, except for a couple of bathroom towels.

Positive: The external ambience is nice with extensive lush gardens and presence of a lot of birds. My children enjoyed seeing small frogs in the small pond after the dinner. Cafe staff was very helpful. A decent restaurant, though it serves only veg.
This resort might have been nice some time back, but not getting any fund for maintenance anymore. The reception is full of pictures of owner standing with senior BJP leaders. He might have now become unable to fund the resort now.

Amazing place to relax. Well maintained and courteous staff. Ample of greenery, kids activities and good food.
Spread over 18 acres, having 43 cottages of different sizes. Swimming pool, Dinning Hall, Activities Area, Outdoor Rajasthani style folk, horse ride, Bullock cart ride, swing, magic show, with evening snacks and tea.

Good place with lots of greenery. But the rooms need some maintenance like Ac, electric plugs were havng loose contact, some minor issues. Only one person was available in the reception. But the staff were nice and cooperative. Breakfast was very good.

Food is not fantastic and does not follow the South Indian theme, houses are just alright, but the fields, trees, outdoor ambience and above all hospitality is excellent

The place is beautiful and well-maintained. The cottages are quite afar from the entry gate, and they have deployed electrical card to ferry guests to cottages. The seclusion is actually good, given calm and privacy. The artifacts in lawn and food in restaurant are also good. It is built in a large area, and they take care if it nicely. DO HIT THE LIKE BUTTON IF THIS WAS HELPFUL.

Took a full day package for 25 people. Had a good time at the swimming pool. The Rajasthani festival was good. Lunch buffet was average. Service of the waiters was worst.   Had to keep them asking to refill the food that wasn't available. Rajasthani dinner was below average and disappointing. Being a marwadi myself, can say, the daal baati churma is 1000 times better when prepared at my home. The resort did not have enough waiters to serve people. Just 3 guys serving around 30 people and kept on just offering us papad. Did not get other food items until they were yelled at. The overall behaviour of the staff was not very welcoming and was bit rude. Looked like we were taken for granted after paying the money.

Huge property and best swimming pool. One bad point is except restaurant staff every other employees are money minded. And rajasthani theme people are very worst. Money money. But except this resort is 17 acres with lots of trees and the experience is good.
