Vroom Drive - Self Drive Car Rental Bellandur Hub

Pathetic experience. There was no one at the pick up centre in the morning and I had to wait for 1.5 hours to get my car. They first told me that I could return the car 1.5 hours later than scheduled drop but imposed a late penalty fee for doing so and deducted that from my safety deposit.

We went to pick-up the car from their center but no one was there at the pick-up point. We had to wait for 1.5 hours. Very poor support staff. The car provided was in terrible condition, with visible damages, yet they had the audacity to charge us Rs. 7,200 for it. This has been the worst car rental experience, and I strongly advise against using their service.

Their service quality has been on a steady decline recently, despite my satisfaction with it over the past couple of months. My recent experience was particularly disappointing due to an unpleasant encounter with a new agent at the Bellandur center. This agent behaved rudely, attempting to extort money through dubious means and providing flimsy justifications. Furthermore, the refund process for the security deposit has become excessively time-consuming, taking roughly 30-60 days, despite the official claim of a maximum 15-day wait time. This extended wait for refunds often necessitates multiple follow-ups.

In summary:
Pros: Cost-effective when compared to Zoomcar
Cons:
1. Subpar car quality
2. Discourteous agents at the center
3. Extended delays in security deposit refunds
4. Unreachable customer care

Poor experience. I received a vehicle with broken door lock.
The staff did not inform anything about the issue with the door lock. I realised the lock issue after i picked the vehicle and travelled about 150km.
Tried calling vroom support centre, they simply ignored.
Their support staff is ignorant and unhelpful. Vehicles here are not maintained and cleaned properly.
I won’t recommend vroom at all. Other car rentals like revv or zoomcar is preferable.

Amazing staff and amazing service. Much better than Drivezy and Zoomcar. They only charge ₹750 as security deposit.
Will rent from them again soon.

I guess it all depends on your luck - whether you’ll get a good car or not. I’ll list the facts of my only experience with Vroom Drive:
Ecosport. More than 1,50,000 kms. Check engine light was on at the time of delivery and throughout the trip. The ABS warning light was on. Headlamp dim/bright switch was faulty and it kept automatically switching to high beam always. The part around the gear knob was missing and it was a big hole there. The wipers made the windshield opaque when used. The steering had a pull to one side which you always had to counter-turn to correct.

I booked it for an airport trip and could not avoid the trip at the last minute and went ahead with this car. The fact that they gave a car with check engine light and ABS warning light on is insane. I was super cautious throughout the trip and always watching out for anything going wrong and driving super slow.
I had selected home delivery and pickup and therefore couldn’t do anything about these errors during delivery time as it is not Vroom employees who deliver the car but Drivezy drivers - Vroom outsources the delivery to Drivezy.
I had emailed Vroom about these issues post-trip but has received no reply.

I see from other reviews that many people have had very positive experiences. Maybe it’s the luck factor of what car you get. But I just wanted to add my honest experience so that everyone can set their expectations accordingly. I might still try them but definitely with rock bottom expectations and never for anything critical.

They should start showing the age of the car and the odometer reading.

Cars are in good condition, but the refund process is so pathetic, you have to run behind them for the refund.

Good fleets of cars. Cheap compared to Zoom and other providers. Pls make sure you call and go for pickup if you are going in the morning. I waited there for 20mins for collecting the car once as none was there in the pickup point

Very bad experience. Car was in very bad condition. No maintenance of cars. Puncture tires. Unprofessional behavior of staff. Charges are very high but compare to that service is very bad. Please don't go for this.

Best in car rentals in BLR india. Prices superv. Cars are well serviced and can drive no major issues anytime. Happy to be part of vroom family. I only rent from vroom i. Last 2 years. All cars are fast tagged. No pain at all. They always wash and give the car.

Got car 1: 30 hours late. Instead of sorry guys were arguing giving false excuses 1 guy told driver didn’t come another telling got stuck in the traffic at 6: 00 am (early morning).

Applied extra Rs. 500 charges for car was dirty. Which was totally false charges and more than 10 to 12 calls and 6 mails and more than a month time I got it back.

I was told Rs. 200 per each hour penalty plus car rental charges extra for late delivery after my booking time… and when I asked them to pay me for 1: 30 hours rental which they gave me late, they paid me Rs. 30 and said we charge this much only for car ….

No any proper call support facility. Each time you call them they ask all your details again and again weast your time and make you uncomfort …

Worst company.

Vroom drive bellandur hub is like 100 meters from the main road and is an open plot with a shade for the managing people to stay. Stay on the left side of the road as if you miss it there is a long U-turn. Overall i had a good experience with vroom as there were no hidden costs or any issues on returning the vehicle. I booked a scorpio and they gave a mazzaro which at the end was good for me as it had a comfortable third row seat.

We were promised an SUV that was well-maintained, serviced and properly sanitised when we reserved a 7-seater Hexa automobile through Vroom.
We got neither of that. Outside body of the car was filthy, and the seats were unclean. Floor mats were dirty too and windshield had dirt and water spots on it.
Rear AC was not working which we realised later on the trip as we had forgotten to check this while taking car.
We alerted the service technician to the fact that the front left wheel was under-inflated, but he dismissed it, saying that everything would be OK if we simply filled the tyre with air.
We also dint ponder too much at that time as it was late in the night and did not want to make an issue out of it.
My residence is hardly few Kms away from Vroom Bellandur, so we decided to fill air in the morning before the trip. However the SUV dint even make it to
the petrol bunk and had a puncture.before itself. We called Vroom service num and someone named Edison picked the call but he offered no assistance.
He switched off the number after our conversation and switched it on only 2 hours later. I had to find a mechanic to fix puncture in morning at 6 30 AM and somehow managed to get it fixed
(luckily got a good guy at HP petrol bunk who i had to wake up and was ready to come and help)
To my utter shock, when i brought up this matter with the vroom staff at the centre upon my return, he was least bothered and his response was that puncture can happen anytime to anyone. He even refused to reimburse the cost of fixing the puncture.
Due to bad experience, I've made the decision to stop using Vroom going forward due to my negative experience.
This was our first booking with them and will be the last.

Good rental near Bellandur. The car was well maintained and the staff did a really good job with the service. The best part is the pricing especially in the witj fuel option.

Used their scorpio. Left side rear and front windows didn't open. The windshield was leaking from the top and it was not clean which made it tough not to drive. High beam headlamps were pointing up which didn't help either. The drive was good though

Booked a 7 seater car from Vroom. They sent 10 years old Scorpio. It was very difficult to drive that car. Condition was extremely bad.

Fleet of vroom is not at all good. Please don't book from them.

They start giving pain right starting from registering on vroom portal.

Music player didn't work. Seats were very uncomfortable.

No complaints and the cars are also well maintained. Vroom is reasonable when compared to other car rental service providers

Well maintened cars and they shall exchange the present vehicle with a different one if you are finding it difficult to drive (like clutch or any other tech issues)

Even home delivery and pick up option is available.

Hired a Honda Jazz for 4 days. The lock/unlock on the key fob was not functional and the car smelt really bad when I picked it up. Didn't have anything to do with the pet. Very unprofessional. Don't recommend at all.

Having a multiple cars (5 seaters & 7 seater) for renting as self drive with little reasonable price comparing to any other rental apps

I wrote a bad review for vroom but it was meant for Zoom car rental. An honest mistake. Owners, kindly accept my apology and thank you for directing my attention to the mistake. Was blinded by the anger caused by harrasment by Zoom cars.

Made a couple of bookings so far for short trips for city travel in Bangalore, It was a good experience and good customer support. On-time and dedicated drivers well explain the Process regarding the vehicle handover and returns process. Highly recommended self-drive company in Bangalore.

People are friendly cars are well maintained compared to zoom car I would suggest my friends to go with this

This could have been a decent experience but the pathetic service, attitude of the delivery staff ruined it.
Narrating the incident to give an idea about their delivery staff's (D) attitude.

Reached the Bellandur hub to pickup the vehicle, delivery person brought the car and it looked like front left tyre was flat.
Let the argument begin!

Me: Front left tyre is flat.can you please check?
D: Straight away says 'NO'. It's not flat tyre, all tubeless tyres looks like that.
Me: Check the other front tyre, it looks good but not this one.
D: Yesterday itself we got all the cars checked by a professional. Its not flat tyre
Me: OK, at least the tyre pressure looks less, check it.
D: We don't have the tool (Tyre air pressure gauge), you got to get it checked yourself.
Me: Why would I? I haven't taken the delivery of the vehicle yet. It's your responsibility to make sure everything is fine.
D: No, we don't have air pressure pump, can't check.

Meanwhile I called the Customer service, sent a photo on whatsApp. CSR asks the delivery staff to check it. But Mr. D is adamant and tells CSR everything is fine.
After couple more calls to CSR, delivery staff decides to check the tyre pressure.
Now the magic happens, the air pressure gauge and pump appears out of thin air!
I was pretty sure the pressure would be less than 25PSi, Mr. D brings the gauge and conveniently says it's broken.

I checked the vehicle and found the foot mat was dirty (Pics attached) and informed the same to delivery staff.
D: Car is already cleaned, that much dirt on foot mat is expected, I can't help.

Car condition was OK but not good. Rear doors couldn't be opened from inside (looks like child lock was broken).
Overall, the price is almost the same when compared with other vendors. So, look for other vendors with better service and cars.

I completed 5th booking today and I think you also will like it to cars are mostly 1lakh km. But maintained. As these are driven by people so it's hard to find car without scratches. But as a rental car I always compare price and it's half from the other with petrol. And without petrol 3 days or more you will get unlimited km. Only rental and fuel.

Most useless self drive service. I have used other providers and they do have some constraints but their process is top notch. But Vroom, poor quality vehicles and poor service. I booked a Tata hexa for 12 hours.
Vehicles was not at all cleaned or sanitized against what they claim.
Vehicle AC was not working realized after few hours
Vehicles steering wheel was vibrating once u touch 80kmph.
Worst of all, after the trip is over, they are not giving the security deposit after deducting toll charges. Their ap doesn't have teip details and calls to their so called CSR is of no use.

I booked ford ecosport in jan 2021, a guy called arun delivered the car whose front 2 tyres are totally worn out even metal threads were appearing out of the tyre, the car was not serviced, he bought the car which is somewhere in the junkyard just by cleaning its outside body, my trip was totally ruined. Vroom Drive should focus on quality, you just look around the competitors of you how they are maintaining their service by quality, i suggest vroom drive to focus on quality then money will automatically follow you.

Good place to rent a car for your weekend trips. The cars are well maintained and properly sanitized before each use. The booking through app is seamless. Also the rates are highly competitive as compared to Zoomcar of drivezy.
Quality of cars is much better than drivezy. This centre is located just a stone throws distance from Sakra world hospital.

It's Near Bellandur and the Staff service is very cool as compared with the other car rental service.

Good staff behavior, clean cars, everything is fine, but the speed limit is just 100, it should have been 120, that was the only one thing that disappointed me, apart from that everything is fine, this will be nice for longer durations, anyways please try increasing the speed limit to 120, thank you vroommm!

I hired a 7 seater from them and the process from getting the vehicle to finally returning it was very smooth & hassle free. They are professional and explained all finer nuances very clearly. The SUVwas neat and clean and thoroughly sanitizer which is the most important aspect during pandemic.

Will recommend to others for self drive car.

They had a good business plan until they changed it. The location is only one in the city and not feasible one. They had home pickup and drop service with reasonable price of 500. But they changed this.
No doubt, cars are good, but now itseems not feasible to go hub n book. 500 INR for radius of 30 - 40km was good one. They lost many regular customers now.

Excellent service, executives are very polite. Cars are very clean and are in good condition. Executives are polite and helpful. Didn't charge anything extra when returned other than for excess Kilometers. I recommend Vroom.

Booked ecosport, it was in good condition but charger plugin is loose and no bluetooth for music except this all working fine and recommend this if u get in good and reasonable price. If you forget your stuff in car while dropping they will keep safe because we forget goggles in car and we got back.

Hi this is sreedhar I have booked xuv 500 for 3 days on this month 14,15.16.one of my friend told about this.expecting good vehicle with clean and with out dents.if the vehicle is good I will refer to few more friends.if not will go to other vendor.

People are helpful here. Cars are clean and in good condition.
Apart from that customised Km's is really a plus point.

I didn't expect that they will give such an high end model car.at a reasonable price. I would recommend and prefer it for unforgettable journeys.

Currently vroom car car has two hubs, the marathahalli hub is located in very secluded place. I have booked a few times with vroom. One instance I wasn't provided the car after an hour of wait in the hub at 3am. They were jump starting the car infornt of me (didn't work). And this place is full of mosquitos which won't let you even stand for 5 mins

Not so good place to park the vehicles. Untidy place. But the vehicles are in proper state of functionality

The pickup point is really Inside and hard to reach. Other than that experience was nice with the car we booked.

New entry into the market and they have good number of cars. The representatives were also good and gave their numbers to ensure we have a smooth drive. The only downside is the limited speed of 100. This is too less on a highway. You guys should consider raising it to 120 like other vendors. It would be more fun for the drivers.

The over all experience was good. The staff members were very friendly and professional. The only thing i recommend to improve that instead of pen and paper work, use digital app for more user friendly.

This is one of the best places to rent cars. The cars are in great condition and the staff is very friendly and understanding. Even if you're running little late, they have a 30 minutes buffer. The prices are very nominal. They charge lesser than any other similar startup in Marathahalli. Just go for it!

Well maintaining, one suggestion make procedure digitally instead of manuel work. Time saves for customers.
